Gala Cuisine at Fox Chase Manor

To start with the positives, the food was absolutely delicious, the wedding was beautiful, and our guests had a FABULOUS time. Unfortunately, we did have some issues.
1. Our initial linen and cutlery selections were lost and I had to schedule a 2^nd day to reselect those things. Despite coming in twice and meeting personally with the owner Sammy, the chargers and silverware at our wedding weren’t what we selected. The room looked beautiful and the guests wouldn’t have known, but it was disappointing particularly since I had to go out twice. I consider this to be a minor issue.
2. *More importantly* The bartender was quick, accommodating, and everyone was impressed with him throughout the evening. At the end of the night, one of our groomsmen caught him attempting to steal some unopened bottles of the liquor we had provided. The bartender had been slipping a bottle away at a time when he would go out to the trash, and there were bottles hidden behind the trashcan ready for him to collect at the end of the night. We also found out that our guests were told certain drinks couldn’t be made because we were out of Tequila, when in fact there were more bottles of liquor not being opened because they had been set aside as his «stockpile.» The bartender seemed embarrassed to have been caught and the groomsman allowed him to keep one of the bottles he had stolen as a tip for his service that evening (although we had already provided a monetary tip).
When we told Sammy about this after the wedding was over, he insisted he had no reason to believe us. After we made it clear that we weren’t seeking a refund and spoke to the owner of Rose Hill Manor (who was very upset to hear about this), Sammy apologized and insisted he would investigate and get back to us by the end of that weekend. It has been over two months since this discussion and we haven’t yet gotten our phone call back from Sammy…

My husband and I had our wedding at Fox Chase’s sister venue Rose Hill Manor on August 9^th 2014. We worked primarily with Sammy and Allison throughout the planning stages. First let me say, our wedding was out of this world amazing! Everyone who attended has commented on how great everything was from the food to the friendly wait staff. We are so happy with the way our wedding turned out and thank Sammy for his dedication and flexibility! We loved it so much we want to do it AGAIN!!!
With planning any wedding there’s bound to be some hiccups, and anytime we experienced speed bumps Sammy and Allison were very quick and happy to resolve. We can’t thank them enough for all they did for us.
Thank you to Sammy for putting on an outstanding event and thank you to Allison for her expertise and suggestions. I would also like to give a special thanks to sweet Doris one of Gala’s wait staff, she was assigned to me and my husband all night and I just love her for all of her hard work and sweet spirit! Thank you Doris for all you did to make our wedding special (and lighting all those candles) we love gala and especially Rose Hill Manor we could not have asked for a more beautiful and happy wedding day!
