Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa

My family and I stayed at the Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa for three nights. The place is beautiful. The staff bent over backwards to make sure we had the most enjoyable getaway. They literally did everything from making sure our car was ready and waiting for our ventures out each day to supplying us with ice cold drinks at the pool. We could not have asked for a better location. You have access to a private beach and the pool area overlooks the ocean. We will definitely be returning. It’s by far the best hotel experience we’ve ever had.

I stayed here for a couple of nights for a conference recently. Absolutely fantastic facility. Pricey, sure — but you get a lot for the price. Beach was awesome, pools beautiful, facilities like the spa and yoga room and gym were very clean and well maintained. The staff here is incredibly friendly — when I drove up to check in somehow the staff already knew my name, which showed excellent attention to detail.
I went here for the conference, but will return on vacation for sure!

This hotel is somewhat like a dream. Arriving from the huddle and noise of a big city, it genuinely inspires of a feeling that you are exactly where you wished to be.
Part I: The Immaculate Design
I love design, I am exactly one of those people that would select form over function given the choice. With Eau, I don’t think there is even that compromise. The lobby, with purple accents and beach inspired, yet elegant theme is gorgeous. Just sit down for a glass of wine next to the fireplace, you’ll know what I mean when with the above description. The rooms and the pool are no exception. Having stayed and visited my share of beautifully designed hotels, this is truly world class to rival the likes of St Regis in Rome, The Plaza in NYC and even The Breakers.
Part II: The Service is Mostly Impeccable
From the kindest welcome with champagne, to being beyond accommodating on room type to having a hospitality suite. Seriously, there is a whole room available for customers to use in between checkins and check outs to change clothes, take a shower, use the bathroom. Such a remarkable touch. At the breakfast restaurant and pool the service was passable, with some waiters not being very attentive on multiple occasions. Hint: when people are sitting at a table staring at you walking by, probably means they want to order something. With the exception of those couple instances, staff were wonderful.
Part III: The Dangerous Water.
Not it’s not sharks, not jellyfish, not pickpocketers. Despite the water being gorgeous blue color, there is something hiding below and it may not be realized right away. There are what appears to be huge cement or rock chunks all over the otherwise sandy floor. They are actually flat on top, making it seem like a foundation of something that got left behind. In any case, be VERY VERY cautious bringing kids here. Playing in the waves, it’s so easy to get hurt. I think this is a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone’s kid hits the head on one of these massive blocks of cement/​rock. Laying on the beach is very pleasant here, but if you are looking for a vacation to swim in the ocean, this is not the right hotel. The pools are wonderful and so is the jacuzzi, but the beach is a bit of a disaster.
Conclusion:
Despite the issue with the rocks, this hotel has so many other impeccable things to make up for it that I simply can’t give it anything less than four stars. One would have a hard time not to enjoy the stay here. Unless swimming in the ocean is one of your top priorities (understandably, it is a beach property), this is a phenomenal destination in palm beach.

Beautiful property and excellent service. Stayed here for business Wednesday through Saturday, and we were treated like royalty. Among the best service experiences ever. Our bellman, Francisco, was the absolute best!

This is such a nice place. It really is a scape from reality. You think about nothing else but the moment. The food was great and the ambiance excellent. Good beaches for snorkeling.

This place is amazing. It’s so nice, luxurious and just overall beautiful. I think it would make a great wedding venue as well. The spa is to die for. It’s expensive here but worth every penny.

I have been to the spa more than 3 times and the most recent service was not as I expected. In my opinion, I did not like my esthetician as she was very chatty and her hands felt very heavy on my face during a facial. I was not relaxed at all. Otherwise the spa bath areas and garden rooms are beautiful. Overall I did have better experience with other services in the past. Please note that the front desk staff can be careless with scheduling app’ts so be sure to double check date and times and call ahead to reconfirm. I am Hoping that management can consider this review as an opportunity to improve.

My wife received a fuzzy ducky facial a couple of Fridays ago with a peel. Ellie was her esthetician. She promised her that the peel would not peel her skin but would unclog her pores. Unfortunately, she woke up Saturday morning thinking she had a horrible allergic reaction to your products. She came in the next Saturday afternoon and one of the estheticians took a look at her face and informed her that it was indeed a bad chemical burn. Her chin was covered in thick brown scab like skin. Sunday she placed aloe on her face all day long like your esthetician suggested. That Monday the burn peeled and became open wounds. That day her whole face was peeling, not just her chin.
She has received facials and peels from other spas before but have never experienced anything like this. All She wanted was a refund for her horrible services. The receptionist couldn’t give it to her, human resources couldn’t give it to her. It has been a week. She is still waiting for corporate to get back to her. Terrible customer service. All they are doing is handing off the problem to someone else and not taking care of it. DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA.

An easy 5-​star review for this lavish hotel. The Eau used to be the Ritz Carlton, and in terms of service, décor and amenities, it has kept the luxuriousness and reputation of its predecessor. The interior of this hotel is jaw-​droppingly gorgeous, from the first floor lobby and lounges to the rooms (meticulously designed by Jonathan Adler). You are greeted with champagne upon check-​in, always a welcomed touch. I stayed in a Resort View Queen room, which had a beautiful partial view of the pool and ocean. I was only in town for 2 nights on business, so my mom and I didn’t need the best possible view, but they upgraded both our rooms anyway (awesome). The rooms have every amenity you could need, and if you forgot anything at all the front desk will provide it for you. They gave me a sewing kit and toothbrush/​paste when I needed them. Also, when I was laying out by the pool, my toe started bleeding from a cut, and they made sure it was taken care of; the nicest waitress approached me and said she was calling the «loss prevention team», who promptly brought over a first aid kid and applied anti-​septic and a bandage. Now THAT is 5-​star service, folks. Every aspect of service and every member of the staff was superb and went above and beyond the call of duty throughout our stay. In the evenings, they light the fire pit on the back patio of the hotel and you can order cocktails and desserts outside from Stir, their bar. This was such a nice end to the day, and the drinks were good. Overall, everything was spectacular about staying here, but if I had to make one gripe, it would be that the walls were a tad thin and I did hear some late night noise from my neighbors rooms and the bar guests outside. However, that isn’t enough to ever deter me from staying here again in a heartbeat. I recommend Eau to anyone visiting the Palm Beach area!

I booked two room for two days for my 25 th birthday with a few friends. For being a high end resort I was partially disappointed because my ocean view room was view of the palm trees fully blocking any views. Secondly, my second room wasn’t ready at check in so we a went down to the pool. Not one staff member came by to ask is for drinks or food. That night around 1 am the hotel was doing maintenance outside my room in one of the cabana’s. The hotel did apologize and send me a bath scrub as a gift to say sorry. Next day we sat by the ocean do to no chairs by any of the pools. The gentlemen messed up our drink order then we went to the bar to order lunch and when we received it we were missing many items. I will say the spa was amazing very nice staff, and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. Would I stay here again, not top on my list unfortunately.

We stayed at the Eau for a weekend in November last year, and despite the poor weather (overcast or rainy the entire weekend), thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Even though we’re local, I won the weekend stay here while bidding at a silent auction for autism and we were looking forward to checking it out. This is the first time we stayed here since the hotel was taken over from Ritz-​Carlton and while still elegant, it feels less stuffy. The rooms are spacious, and well appointed. The bar/​lounge area, Stir, and the restaurants are also well decorated with an upscale but modern feel, particularly Angle, which has cool décor; temple Orange is more casual. The cocktail list at the bar was excellent, with some great craft cocktails. We attended a pre-​dinner wine tasting at Angle, and the sommelier was great, explaining the wines in detail. We went back later for dinner and he gave us complimentary champagne to start the dinner and suggested perfect wines to accompany our meals. My filet mignon was outstanding, topped with foie gras, on top of a crispy potato (like a fancy hash brown), with a Pinot reduction. I highly recommend Angle, food, wine and service were all excellent. The brunch at temple orange was great, with a vast array of choices from made to order omelettes to fresh seafood. Their gym is certainly adequate and offered some yoga classes. I did not partake, but my girlfriend loves the spa experience. The service was excellent throughout our stay. We unfortunately did not spend much time at the pool area due to the weather but the pool is nice, with views of the beach/​ocean. Overall a very nice experience, check it out and enjoy.

I stayed here in January for a conference and it was wonderful! The hotel décor is a little dated and I’m told it was an Art Deco style. The service was excellent, one of the best I’ve encountered especially in the States. We had catered food and it was great. The adult tranquility pool was nice. I’m not sure when the busy season was but I had the pool to myself and a few people were lounging in the chairs. The pool was heated but only one spout I could find had warm water there. The resorts around here have a very small beach front but what they have is nice. Great sand and fairly clear water for the Atlantic. I’m more used to Virginia Beach and Ocean City, MD and they cannot compare. There is not much around the resort but a really good breakfast place in the strip mall across the street and it is not a far drive at all to West Palm Beach. I would love to come back and try their spa.

My New Years stay was a total disaster. I don’t mind the old fashioned and ugly wall paper in my room, the yellowing and dying bushes and trees or the patches of soil where the grass is supposed to be all over the property but what is most important to me is being treated as a welcome guest in a manner that would be consistent with a hotel that holds itself out as a 5 star hotel.
I stayed at the South Tower which was a good distance from the front desk and I had to walk back and forth with my crying baby several times a day because the room keys were not working more times than they worked.
Breakfast was passable even though it was limited. Lunch and Dinner were worse. I almost choked on their turkey burger because it was tasteless and dry. The cauliflower was rotten. You can tell they try to cut out the bad parts and trim it as best they can but it never should have been served… not even at a soup kitchen! The wait staff in the dining was either unresponsive or rude… maybe it because of the mandatory 18% gratuity. I was paying them a gratuity for lousy food and to be abused by the wait staff. ONLY IN AMERICA!
We had to drive to the Breakers to eat which buy the way served amazing food and treated you like royalty for a true five star experience.
The worst part of the hotel was the «dis» service. Throughout this stay I was appalled by the lack of disrespect and poor quality of their employees. No good morning, no one holding the door, employees gossiping about guests in public view, employees either being non responsive to guests or answering back and employees literally begging for tips. The bellhop went as far as positioning himself inside of the open car door waiting for a tip and prevent me from closing it and another was «reminding» us that he helped us on another day when tipping him as if to remind us that we still «OWE» him a tip.
I was hoping to start my new years with a bang and it was a BUST!

Went to Temple Orange for Christmas Day brunch. There were 15 of us (friends). Had a wonderful time! Food was really good. They only complaint is that they could not keep up with the stuffed shrimp demand and were always out when I went up. Service was very good. First time we visited since they went from Ritz Carlton to EAU.

What an amazing time at Eau Spa. I came to breeze café, Oceanside. Having tapas, yum! 5 – 7 is their tapas hour. Smaller bites are $ 6-​$ 8. It’s a fun place. Excellent ambience and chill. The music was upbeat and what i loved the most is being on the water. I highly recommend it! Our waiter Gerry was insanely polite and more importantly friendly.

Amazing place. We came from NY to attend a wedding here. Great environment, very positive and the staff and guests are super friendly. Staff was always willing to help and go the extra mile. Very beautiful and clean resort, housekeeping is on their A game. Beds are soft and comfy, bathrooms are full marble tile and super fancy. They have a wonderful spa in the resort which everyone loved and left with smiles on their faces, especially the women in our party. They have an organic farm to table restaurant in the resort, it’s pricey but worth it, desert was on point as well. Outdoor pool stays at a good temperature, just jump right in, and the jacuzzi is very warn and relaxing.
Overall experience was very relaxing and we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

I stayed here for part of my vacation and wish I had chosen to stay here the entire time. A former Ritz Carlton, the staff still maintains the same quality of discreetness and excellence you would expect at a Ritz. The hotel is gorgeous, right on top of the beach.
Check in is mid afternoon but I arrived bright and early (around 9 am) to an upgraded room available for me immediately. My room was spectacular, comfortable and more than I could have hoped for.
It was perfect for a romantic getaway with my boyfriend and my only regret was not having more time there.
I want to commend the staff on HOW attentive they are. I ordered on several occasions gluten free items and every time the staff confirmed and/​or double checked what arrived was gluten free. It is a rarity to have SUCH careful attention paid to something, and it was an effort I so greatly appreciated. I cannot wait to come back.

Awesome stay, we paused, relaxed, played allowing us to created new memories. So happy they pulled away from the Ritz brand & created their own distinguishable feel. Their daily Mediterranean brunch was spectacular as well as their farm to table restaurant was wonderful as they only have one seating per evening so you know you are in for a catered evening.
The entire place was redesigned and decorated by Jonathan Adler.
We were fortunate to reserve the ocean front balcony facing the view of beach & quiet pool below.
Afternoon treatments at the Spa & lunch bought in to our couples massage suite was a nice finish.
Prepare yourself to spend approx $ 700 a day. Well worth it.

I had the luxury of staying at the fabulous hotel, this past weekend. Great service from check-​in to check-​out. The champagne, at check-​in (even though I arrived at 12am) was a fancy touch. Stunning lobby and hallways. My room was clean, and beautiful! The morning buffet breakfast was to die for! The service was exceptional! Staff even learned my name, and remembered it throughout my stay. Everyone was a joy to deal with. (I only wish the jacuzzi wasn’t broken). Well done, and thank you!

My boyfriend brought me here for a 3 night surprise birthday trip back in June. I knew as soon as we checked in & they offered me champagne that I was going to love it! The valet parking was expensive but they were quick & friendly. The room was beautiful & quite cozy. We had a pool view/​side beach view. At night they left mints beside the bed & also had a birthday card for me along with a cute mini bday cake. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of cake but my bf enjoyed it. For breakfast one morning we went to Temple Orange & were considering the buffet until we found out it was $ 32 per person so we decided to share an omlette since we weren’t that hungry which was still around $ 18. I recommend walking across the street to John G’s if you’re looking for a cheaper breakfast. We went there the next 2 mornings & it was good. We did not use the spa, however we did take a tour & it looks very nice but also on the pricier side. We lounged out by the pool every afternoon & enjoyed cocktails which was probably my favorite part. It was very relaxing & the service was great! If you are looking for things to do outside the resort, one evening we drove to the Hardrock Casino in Hollywood which was only about 45 min away. We also enjoyed the firepit one evening accompanied by more cocktails. If you are looking for a quiet/​romantic getaway I would highly recommend it just be prepared to spend a few dollars.

I cannot say enough about this place! The location — not the greatest if you want to ‘party’ and want some night life. BUT if you are there to enjoy your company and have some alone-​time, this is THE place. I must first start by saying I obtained an amazing deal $ 200/​night for $ 800+/night room. Then, we were upgraded to an ocean-​view suite. The service was awesome, everyone was so friendly and accomodating.
Granted, things are a bit pricey, but I think that is what you expect at a resort. Things will be over-​priced. But the convenience of having everything there and the attention you receive from the staff is awesome!
I was there for a 30^th birthday/​ladies’ weekend and we asked if they had a blender… they had one waiting for us in the room before we even checked in! Amazing! We had asked for 2 doubles, which they gave us a king suite instead. They offered a roll-​away, no charge and gave us a free round at the pool side bar. Well worth the trade off!
Food was pretty good. Not the absolute best, but tasty. I read other reviews that said there was no real ‘beach’ and that is true. Beach area is limited. But lots of chairs along the pool and looking over the beach, which, again was a fair trade-​off. Great Ice cream place across the road… Ice Cream Club. YUM!

STAY AWAY FROM STIR LOUNGE IN THE LOBBY.
While the drinks were OK and its a cute environment, the service is terrible. They double charged my card. When I called to have this fixed, they said its just something their system does, it charges twice and then it will rectify when it stops pending… they took my information and said they would call me back. THEY DIDNT. a few days later i check my bank statement and they charged my account a random whopping total of 73 $ when my check was only 33 $??? I called and someone gave me the same bullshit story and said they were going to look into it and call me back. Never did.
They clearly need to retrain their staff on POS procedures.

What a beautiful hotel! Pricey but nice! My room was gorgeous. Staff was friendly, and the pool was nice. Beach isn’t the sandy oasis one imagines, but it was fine. Close to S Palm beach activities. Décor is gorgeous.

This is the former Ritz Carlton in Manalapan, FL. I have stayed there many times when it was under the Ritz flag, but recently had the chance to try the new management. One thing I noticed is that it seemed to be cleaner and better maintained than when it was a Ritz property.
This is not in Palm Beach or West Palm Beach … one of the biggest complaints many Unilocalers had when it was the ‘Ritz Palm Beach’. Manalapan is a sleepy little town with a lot of lower price resorts. It is not by any means as glamorous as one would think of Palm Beach or Boca Raton … until you step foot into the resort.
This is 5 star all the way in the lobby/​public areas. From the car port to the lobby (which surprisingly hasn’t changed much since the Ritz Carlton days) and the pool area and restaurants, which haven’t changed at all since the rebranding.
The rooms here are nice … but not really 5 star. I would equate them to a business level Marriott or Hilton. The public areas make up for them.
Food and drinks are insanely expensive here and probably not exactly the quality one would expect for the prices. I feel like lately, that is any Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, etc. The drinks are close to $ 20 each (!!!) near the pool and are very weak and made with boxed Pina Colada or Daqueri mix. The food at the restaurants is not amazing but not bad. My favorite spot here is the little bar and seating next to the pool where you can watch the waves break.
The beach here is very narrow, a bit rocky and not very impressive to those who want to lay on the beach and people watch. The best part about the beach here is that you can lie in a hammoch or a cabana or sit at the pool bar and watch the waves break. Amazing medium blue water with white capped waves. The pool area gets a bit breezy and cool because of the location … but they have a big fire pit at night and s’mores and hot chocolate.
The main pool is always crowded and is located in the center of the resort … looking more like something out of Southern California than Florida. But the adult only pool to the side is something out of a Gatsbian mansion … almost like a fountain and a pool combined.
The interior design is why you come here … it really is stunning and done well. You feel the class exude from almost every inch of the public areas. There is not too much nearby … an ice cream shop and a few shops across the street. If you are coming here and want to go to a social scene like the main drag in West Palm … you are in the wrong place. The resort is the star of the show here … so plan on eating most of your meals here unless you don’t mind a bit of a drive.

My pic for the beat brunch on the ocean in Palm Beach. Incredible views of a very welcoming pool area along with sweeping ocean and palm tree vistas. The menu has something for every one and the buffet has a wonderful presentation. I also was able to enjoy roasting smores near their seaside fire pit in the evening while listening to waves break nearby. Was a great experience!

I spent 40 years in the hotel business, and other than NYC have never paid $ 23 for a grey goose Cosmo !
They have the nerve to add 18% great for so so service at the bar.
This place takes itself MUCH too seriously… avoid it at all costs! RIP OFF

Recently spend few days here with the love of my life, and our little puppy George!
We travel a lot, visit many different places but this hotel was by far the best customer service we have ever experienced.
We were welcomed with Champagne and our little doggie was welcomed with a big new bed, bone shaped pillow and treats!
The interior as well as the outdoors are absolutely gorgeous. The private beach was a hit for our little pup! I don’t write reviews often but this place made an impression on me that was worth to write one!
We had a fantastic stay and we will sure be back to stay there again!! Cant wait!

I have been here several times over that past several years as it used to be a Ritz Carlton and now it is independent.
Overall the place looks the same and has excellent service and amenities, but at a pretty steep price.
The rooms are awesome, the dining options are good, and the pool area is relaxing. I found the beach to be pretty skinny, as in there is not much there, but this is a nice place to enjoy a weekend.

Everything was top quality. Complimentary champagne upon check in, all staff on the entire property were professional, courteous, sincere, and most importantly very helpful and willing to go beyond what was expected.
The entire place is just absolutely gorgeous everywhere you look. Beach is safe and private. We had a lanai room on the ground floor overlooking the tranquility pool which was fabulous for taking a stroll along the beach or a quick dip in the ocean or pool any time you wanted without the hassle of elevators or hallways.
And the food… Lord have mercy on my waistline, as every bite and sip of anything was nothing but a magnificent feast for the senses. Don’t miss the brunch, either — pricey but SO worth it.
