Love this place! I bought my dress for my law school’s Barrister Ball here this past April because my date lived in the area and recommended it. There was a huge selection of dresses (far more than just prom!) and the girls were so helpful. Will definitely be back if the occasion calls for it!

I drove over an hour to get here. This was for my daughter’s Sweet 16 that is scheduled for July. Really beautiful place but I left within ten minutes of being there. One of the staff members came out to help us, but didn’t bother to introduce herself. Once we mentioned our budget of $ 500 (only to keep my daughter under control) she basically told us that their dresses started at $ 400, then proceed to point out where we should look. I explained the budget wasn’t solid we just want to find something she likes. The sales person then explained «we should just look around then». Again, She just stood there and any questions we asked about styles we were looking for she responded «we don’t have that». She never once pulled a dress off the rack, mind you the prom shop was empty. They are not helpful at all. Left really disappointed. Castle Couture came highly recommended, but I think you must look a certain way and not mention your budget to get help. Luckily, we decided to drive 10 mins up the rode to Diane & Co… The staff there was amazing and we found the dress.

I scheduled a bridal appointment to try to find my perfect wedding dress I had Sara assist me. I’ve tried on various gowns but I had a photo on my phone of a dress that I had to try on! And luckily they had it in stock. It was a few sizes smaller than my original size but at least I was able to pull it over and try it on so I got a good visual of how it was going to look! I’m hoping when I get my gown it’ll be everything I’ve hoped for, thank you castle couture for a wonderful experience and you’re assistant Sara did a wonderful job!

The saleswoman I worked with was awful! She had me trying on size 12, everything was too big, did not know how to clip the dress correctly. When I did pick out a dress, Which I paid in full, received a call two days later the dress was discontinued. She called me many times with the wrong information.

This place felt cold and was not fun. The sales consultants were rude and abrupt. I hated everything I tried on, and I felt like a timer was on to get me out of there. Would not recommend.

I had an amazing experience and bought the most beautiful wedding dress! I made an appointment and I had Nicole as my consultant. She was extremely helpful and really really awesome and friendly. She answered all my questions and made sure that we were comfortable and helped throughout the visit. She let me try one every dress I liked as well as suggesting some dresses she thought I’d like. Ended up getting a dress that I fell in love with as well as Nicole’s suggestion of a matching veil! Thanks so much for making this a great experience Nicole :)

Yah, CC has to accept the fact that people are catching on to their act of ordering two sizes too big to justify their hugely inflated seamstress fees. I give it a star for beautiful décor, but you are over-​paying for those crystal chandeliers! Do say yes if you like the dress, but have alterations done elsewhere.

Not such a great experience.
The sales lady spent little time listening to the bride carefully or getting to know her to be able to pull dresses that really spoke to her style and vision. She began to get an attitude and get defensive when we weren’t seeing anything special.
In the end we saw a dress we loved but wanted to try one more place, very famous in Manhattan that’s featured on a TV show. We told her this was the case from the beginning but she got so nasty and was clearly annoyed. Saying they will sell you a dress for 5−10k, I’m not putting myself on call for you when the bride said she might be back for the dress she liked!
I get it, you make a living from selling these dresses but after the lack of professionalism and cold shoulder there’s no way we’d be back or feel a sense of loyalty.

We ordered the dress, and not only did it come in a bigger size then we asked for, but there was a rip in it as a well as wrinkled! Every single person and both managers would not exchange the dress or do anything for us. Bad customer service, they are nice and sweet in their tone of voice but even after the second manager, she basically just told us that we had to alter the dress and that’s it. That was the dress we paid for etc. Meanwhile we asked for the dress to be smaller and it wasn’t. DISSAPOINTED BRIDE AND BRIDAL PARTY!

This was the first bridal salon where I tried wedding dresses on. The positive is that they treated me like a princess. Sara was my bridal consultant– she knew the dress inventory, helped me in and out of each dress, and encouraged me to re-​try on dresses I wasn’t sure about. She also brought over veils and hair clips to help me envision the whole wedding day look. Sara also had a knack for finding dresses that went with my body shape.
A first negative was that Castle Couture doesn’t allow you to browse the dresses yourself. When my mom got up to look at a dress she saw, they told her she has to stay in her seat by the mirror and someone would pull the dress for us and let us know if it is in our price range. That’s weird being it’s impossible to see many of the dresses from any single seat and I am capable enough to read a price tag and know if it is in my price range. Also, looking can help someone discover something they may have otherwise not known or thought about.
The second negative is that the prices were too high. After doing more research, I now realize Castle Couture sells their dresses at the top of the price mark. The final dress I was going to buy was a discontinued dress that happened to be in my size. It was not a dress that could be ordered and it was discontinued shortly after it was released, so it was very unlikely that someone would go in asking for that dress. The manager took a couple hundred dollars off of the dress, which came out to about 10% off. After looking around a little more, I found that other places sell discontinued dresses for anywhere from 50−80% off. I ended up getting a discounted dress for less than half the price at RK Bridal in Manhattan; and it turned out to be a dress that I discovered while browsing the store.
All in all, if money is not a determining factor for you, Castle Couture is a good place to try on dresses. Just make sure you know exactly what you want, since you can’t browse.

Beautiful place but I was here almost two years ago looking for a prom dress. They were nice but I was here for two hours while these people tried picking out dresses that looked horrible. I wish I found a dress here but i went to 5 different places

I give this place 5 stars for Elizabeth who helped me find my Bridal Gown. I give Buff (not sure if that’s her name but that’s what it sounded like) 1 star for trying to find my mom a mother of the bride dress.
5 star Elizabeth — she was so sweet and so supportive and made the wedding dress shopping experience so pleasant. Found the dress of my dreams. If you make an appointment at Castle Couture ask for Elizabeth!!!
1 star Buff? — so awful. Rude. My mom was looking for a-​line and this woman kept bringing over any style but a-​line. When she brought in this fit and flare my mom really hated and said politely, «This isn’t my style.» Buff goes «I don’t really care you’re trying it on.» There were some beautiful options at Castle Couture but because we didn’t want to give Buff the business we left.

I would give this place no stars if I could. Went there with my sister, the women helping us was very rude. I told my sister I liked a dress, she told me it didn’t matter what I thought. She also complained that the customer before us tried on too many dresses. They had us wait for an hr after our appt time till we saw someone. She continued to bring out the same style dress, despite my sister asking for a different style. They rushed us out and had an attitude the entire time. Terrible time, you don’t need the stress of this place while planning a wedding. Do not go here for your bridal gown!

Found this place because I was looking for David Tutera trunk show in the area. This store was listed and I booked an appt immediately. I didnt have any issues booking an appt but I was told there’s $ 50 for a no show on the appt day. I didnt have an issue with that being I really wanted to check out what this place had.
So the day of I meet my MOH at the location and when we walked in there was beautiful jewelry sparkling in the showcases. We went to a table by the stairs where I told them I had a bridal appt. The sent me upstairs and told me Jennifer would be with me shortly.
After about 5 mins Jennifer came out and greeted us. She walked us through double doors to a beautiful room full of bridal gowns. I went over what I was looking for and she brought me that and then some.
She was extremely helpful and not pushy at all when I was conflicted about a dress I loved but it was over my budget. I will probably be back in Feb to decide on the dress.

I’m giving them two stars because the people that helped me find my dress and the ladies at the alterations Desk were very nice and helpful, but the end of my experience was a very sour one.
However DO NOT get your alterations done here
First off they cost a fortune.
Second off they are not done well. My dress wasn’t hemmed enough and I was tripping over the tulle and ring around my dress for half my day. Thank god I had a day of coordinator that came to my rescue and was able to do some quick seamstress work. Also THE BEADING off my waste fell right off my dress !!! I couldn’t believe it !!! What a rip off. That should have never happened. Seriously I know they are independent seamstress but they represent castle couture. Luckily that was the worst thing that happened to me that day, but honestly thats a big issue. Please beware of Doing alterations here if you have someone you trust go for them instead

Since I’m my friends maid of honor I been visiting many bridal shops with her. She wanted to come here so we took the drive and I have to say I was very impressed by how beautiful this place is. You walk in and there is jewelry to the right, we went to the front desk and my friend let them know we had an appointment and they send us upstairs to meet the personal shopper. We didn’t wait more than 5 minutes before she greeted us an walked us through some double doors to where they have all the bridal gowns. I took a sit while my friend and her went over what type of gowns she wanted to try on.
They have a lot of selections, from many designers and many price points.
I have to say the sales lady was super nice, gave her honest opinion and wasn’t pushy at all.
If you are looking for a wedding gown you should come here this place is like bridal mecca.

I would recommend not getting your dress altered here. It is very expensive, and I had a lot of issues with my dress. At my wedding, it un-​bustled many times and was a big pain. They were nice at the place, but there work was not.

CC is the first and only place I went to buy my dress. I worked with Elizabeth and she was really great. Friendly, not pushy, and understood the style I was looking for. I walked in with little expectation that I would find my dress on my first shopping trip so I was pleasantly surprised when I fell in love with the fourth dress I tried on. It was exactly what I wanted, fell under budget and I didn’t feel like I was being forced to say yes. She even nailed the headpiece I wanted on her first try.
Ordering the dress was quick and easy and I received my follow up email with a detailed timeline of the process within a couple of days. Can’t wait to see it when it comes in!

I came to castle couture on a Saturday afternoon to start shopping for wedding gowns. The tone is set from the moment you walk in the doors, it just feels like it’s going to be a fabulous experience.
I checked in promptly for my 12:00 appointment and was sent up the gorgeous spiral staircase to wait for my consultant. I was assigned to Marianne who was phenomenal. We clicked from the moment I shook her hand. She guided me and my 4 guests (you can only bring 5 and no children under 10) through the doors where we started to talk about budget and style ideas.
My family was seated in front of the mirrors next to the dressing room while Marianne and I started looking through dresses. She would show me things just to get my opinion on certain elements and then picked a good selection of dresses to get started.
It is a job getting into some of these dresses but I always felt comfortable with Marianne. She was honest. She entertained my ideas and also got me out of my comfort zone to try different styles that I would not have normally. She nailed it on the second dress I tried which was a completely different shape than I went in thinking I needed. Every one of the 10 dresses after that one that I tried just didn’t compare but Marianne made sure that I tried every style and shape to make sure I loved the one I ended up with which I so appreciate.
We ended up buying a gorgeous gown in about an hour. The dress I chose was strapless which I didn’t want but Marianne helped me to pick out straps to add that will customize the dress. She also picked a gorgeous veil that looked like it was made for the dress. We took the cash option to buy this dress to take advantage of the 15% off which essentially gave us the straps and veil for free.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. I was anxious coming in but as soon as I met Marianne, all of my fears just melted away and she expertly guided me into the gown of my dreams that I would have never found without her. I couldn’t have imagined this experience being as easy as it was. I can’t wait to go back when my dress comes in!
