MEH! That’s all I can really say towards my feelings about this.
We started with the gourd. Cheese bread. It was just nothing special.
Then I got the spaghetti which I know is a basic dish however. if it is basic do something special. The marinara sauce was bland and typical of what I expect from a cheaper order (which this was not) and did not come with a piece of garlic bread as listed on menu. I know I know. you got bread as an app why do you need it with your meal?! Well I want what I order and wanted it for leftovers.
Biggest issue with service was my phone was on the table from taking a picture of the mountains in the distance (not the middle or particularly in the way) and then the waitress took it upon herself to move my phone… I’m sorry I don’t appreciate you touching my $ 600 device. She didn’t even have a plate in her hand and as I mentioned there was a ton of room.
For one glass of wine, appetizer and two really really basic entrees the total was $ 45.
The food was fast but lukewarm and the atmosphere was again just meh.
All and all meh meh and meh. Would not return.

What an all-​around excellent experience! Delicious food and super-​friendly service!
We arrived with a party of 8, including 4 kids. Our server Susan could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. We started with wine…3 different kinds ordered, all way above-​average. For dinner, I had a very simple plate of spaghetti with garlic oil and mozzarella cheese and it was shockingly tasty, especially with a spoonful of the homemade marinara sauce added and the side of garlic bread. Even the salads were delicious! All 8 of us were thrilled with our meals.
We will definitely make a point of eating here every time we visit Mammoth!

Pues si vienes de Europa, no te sorprenderá, un italiano más, correcto. Si llevas mucho tiempo en U.S.A agradecerás encontrar un italiano tradicional con una buena carta de vinos y platos de toda la vida. Te ponen pan y encima está bueno.

I agree with other Unilocalers that the food here is just Meh… Average/​just ok =)
Overall: 2 stars: food was not worth the high price tags; I was disappointed with my meal.
The only decent dish there was the Cioppino: 3 stars
Seafood was good here but sauce was very bland; didn’t have any flavors other than tomato.
Calamari Steak Piccata: 2 stars
Way too buttery; the only seasoning it had was butter, pepper & salt & nothing else. Calamari was just too chewy.
Manicotti: Pasta stuffed with ricotta & spices in Alfredo sauce, topped with a ribbon of marinara & mozzarella: 1 star
Dry & cold: Costco’s version is so much better & cheaper than this. So not worth ordering.
Scallops Piccata: 1 star
Very plain & bland, very few scallops on this dish too. I could have cooked this dish so much better on my own.
Décor: (B-​) Average Italian restaurant; nothing special/​fancy here.
Service: (B-​) Attentive in the beginning but lacking towards the middle of the meal & picked up again when the check came around.

My family and I always stop here on our way home from camping in mono village.
We have for years always brought 20 – 25 people here for lunch every year.
I arrive and the hostess/​server proceeds to tell me she cannot accommodate my party of 15 because they aren’t taking large parties due to being short staffed in the kitchen; she tells me they have 1 cook on and he can’t handle it. …
Another waitress comes up and says they can she just has to ask the cook. (He has carte Blanche and allows anyone to pass as if he’s some bridge troll?!) I highly doubt manny in the kitchen has that power. They eventually sit us. But not before warning us that food might take a while and not come out all together.
They already have the deck stacked against them. My family didn’t wanna jump into our motor homes and find a different place, so we stayed. She takes our order but not after snapping at my grandmother that they don’t so separate checks. We have to hound them for drink refills, mind you we are THE ONLY PEOPLE THERE. They turned away 3 other parties after we came in and told them another pizza place to go to. I am very serious… A restaurant actually sent someone elsewhere!!!
So out came out food which was ok. We all ordered pizza to make it easy on the all powerful oz «manny the chef.» After half done drink refills given to the wrong people and mixing up iced teas and soda, our bill comes with automatic gratuity she said the computer automatically adds of 18% with an over exaggerated 33.00 tip. We pay mostly cash and the rest 40.20 on a card and attempt to leave.
She then over charges one of our cards 10.00 and refuses to see that she pocketed 10.00 extra in cash! She vehemently assures me she was right. I signed and we left, my family urging me to just leave and not fuss over it.
They didn’t even say goodbye as the manager (assumed the guy in the dress shirt overseeing things and not doing anything) and other 2 female waitresses were standing there. My family will NEVER be back after being overcharged, argued with, almost turned away at the door, and lousy service. Perrys has changed, and not for the better.
