Après Pooch Dog Daycare

No website. I emailed and no response. I called and got a voicemail instructing me to go to the website that does not exist. Are they closed?

Amazed at some of the reviews here. We have had nothing but a positive experience with Natalie and the Après Pooch team. Our dog was excited to see her each morning and she is not always that excited to see new people. She came back exhausted and well hiked. We have just had our second stay using APooch and would def work with Natalie again. Book in advance, she is busy.

Ignore all the horrible reviewers below. She was amazing at taking care of my hyper Labrador this past weekend. He came home exhausted after a long day of playing and hiking. I’m glad we found Natalie to watch over our dog while we were hitting the slopes. She came through super last minute as well. I completely forgot that we need a dog sitter after we checked out. Thank god for her otherwise my trip would have been ruined! She totally seems like such a down to earth person who loves animals unconditionally!!! Please do ignore the other reviewers. She was worth every penny!
Ps. Her prices are super reasonable !

Fancy website and automated return emails do not make up for actual customer service. We had a day planned where we would leave our dog between 8:00 and 8:30 with pick up in the late afternoon. Really no confirmation and when we called that morning the call went directly to email. We never spoke to Natalie and will be looking for some one responsible. Since we spend several weeks in Mammoth every year we were hoping that this could be a long term relationship but … Oh well her loss.

I’m writing this review to warn everyone. Don’t give her any responsibility with a gold fish.
She doesn’t answer her phone. If your dog is with her during the day, don’t expect complete supervision.
I was expecting her to drop my pooch at the hotel on a saturday night and she never showed up. I called a few times throughout the night and she never responded. I was left wondering where my F#*%ing dog was. This is my child. I don’t have kids and expect whoever is watching my dog to at least call me and tell me why she isn’t coming to deliver my dog.
I really don’t want to mention the BS excuse she provided, but here it is: She didn’t have her cell phone with her… I don’t care. Be professional and keep your client’s numbers available somewhere.
My dog suffered a horrible experience while staying at her BS storage yard. I picked him up after a day of riding only to find he was left alone all day. The evidence was clear… from his bloody nose and paws. Apparently he was scratching the door all day. He has never done this before and has been left alone numerous times at strangers houses.
DON’T RISK IT.
Very sad.
I wish Mammoth had more puppy care options. I just might move there and start my own reputable business because I know how to treat animals AND people.

Just had our samoyed stay with Natalie again. Once again 5 stars. She picked him up and dropped him off at our Lodge. So convenient! He came back happy and really tired and not caked in mud this time. Although I kind of wanted to see him come back dirty, at least we didn’t have to give him a bath. Thanks Natalie!

This is my first Unilocal review and it is because I’m compelled to help others avoid the mistake I made of rising this business. It is a shame that there isn’t a greater set of online options for this town. When searching for dog daycare this is the only one Roth a website. Don’t let that fool you. I did my new application on Thursday for a Saturday and Sunday daycare. March 1^st isn’t considered a peak weekend. The automated response letting me know it was received was quick enough. However there was no confirmation. Come Friday I called, texted and emailed to no avail. There was no response. I finally received a response on Sunday evening after I was back from the mountain. It was almost comical that she had some questions about if I needed boarding. The days requested are pretty clear in the form. Apparently she doesn’t look at them because of she did then she would see that I no longer needed the boarding. The lack of communication is unprofessional. I understand that she is a small business but it takes all of 1 minute to count the number of dogs you have booked and subtract the number of dogs you allow and the shoot off a quick us or no email. Please don’t get your hopes up with this business.

I decided to contact this company based on the great Unilocal reviews. First I filled out the online inquiry form. My main question was how old must a puppy be to attend this daycare. This seems simple enough, right? When I didn’t hear back, I called and immediately received a text saying they were busy. I texted back and asked again, how old must a puppy be. I never received a reply via email, phone, or text. I decided to email one last time and let Natalie know I’d been trying to reach her for two weeks just to get a simple question answered. But again, I never received a response. I will not use this company due to the poor service experience I’ve had. I wonder if the positive reviews on Unilocal are real?

Sure wish I could give some stars.
The fact is we didn’t board our dog there (not by choice)
My wife and I contacted Apres Pooch a week in advance to set up a ½ day dog sitting so we could go ride the MM Bike Park, which we were very excited to do.
My wife tentatively set up either Thursday or Friday and Natalie said no problem just call the day before you want to leave the dog.
My wife called on Thursday to set up a Friday appt., no one answered and we got a message to leave a message — sorry, mailbox full.
My wife then texted repeatedly and we got no reply.
We went to where the business was supposed to be the next day and it was no longer there.
We again, called, texted and called — no answer or reply.
We tried all the other sitting facilities in MM Lakes and all were booked.
Needless to say we did not get to do the MM Bike Park and were very disappointed.
Over a week later now and we still have not heard anything, no explanation or apology.

Just before visiting Mammoth over the 4^th of July, I found Après online. I filled out the forms and then texted Natalie as she suggested on her web page. She was incredibly responsive and had room to watch our dog for a day while we Mtn biked. I have nothing but great things to say about her and the care she gave our pooch. When we come back, we will definitely use Après again.

We have been using Natalie/​Apres Pooch for several years (and several dogs) during our trips to Mammoth. I cannot recommend her enough. Our dogs are so excited to see her and they come home happy and tired. She takes such good care of them and is aware of how the dogs she is watching interact with each other and the environment. Every time we leave we find ourselves wishing she lived in our town. Thanks as always, Snorkel & Hops are sleeping soundly :).

I found Apres Pooch from just a google search and was soooo glad I did! Natalie was great! She arrived at our hotel to pick up Bud in the morning and delivered him back to us in the evening.
He was well taken care of, went on a hike, and played in the snow.
I will definitely be calling Natalie for our future visits to Mammoth!

Natalie took wonderful care of our dog Emma and our foster dog Moose today. She has a clear understanding of different dog personalities. We loved that she takes the dogs on outdoor hikes, as well as providing indoor supervised play space for the dogs. We picked up two tired and happy pups.
Natalie was responsive to all our emails and texts leading up to our appointment date.
Using Apres Pooch for a day of care was less expensive than a late check out at our rental condo and the pricing was certainly on par for dog daycare services in Los Angeles. We know that we will use Apres Pooch in the future for our dogcare needs in Mammoth Lakes!

Wow! All I can say is that I had a very last minute event come up and I needed someone to watch the two dogs for the day. At 10pm I heard back from some of the people I called and she suggested Natalie and Apres Pooch. So I got online, filled out the forms and sent a text. To my SURPRISE I got a text right back and the ball was rolling. She went out of her way to find me someone to take my dogs and did.
Dinah took both dogs around town with her and her Golden Retreiver and my pups couldn’t have been happier. Playing in the streams, walking in nature (off-​leash!!!) and heading to the cabin museum at the end of the day was a perfect day for them. They came home tired and dirty, both signs of an excellent day. My only negative is that $ 69 for one day is really expensive, I pay $ 45 for a full 10 hour day of daycare at home. Just throwing that out there.
I will be back!

Awesome experience overall! Nathalie was awesome with our Roxy and Bentley. She bonded quickly with our pooches and after a couple days they were jumping into her car when she picked them up in the morning. The door to door service and great hours allowed me and my wife to snowboard all day, grab an early dinners and do some Village shopping. Next time we are in Mammoth with our pups we will definitely have Après and Nathalie take care of our Roxy and Bentley. Thanks, Nathalie!!!

Apres Pooch is FANTASTIC!!! My recent visit in Mammoth over New Years was perfect thanks to Natalie at Apres Pooch. Natalie was in constant communication with me before and during my visit to make sure that all my needs and (more importantly) the needs of my dog Titus were met. Natalie scheduled a wonderful daytime pet-​sitter «Angie» to pick up Titus each morning from my hotel while I hit the slopes and return him back later that evening. Titus is a 10 year old bulmastiff and can sometimes be a bit particular about his sitters, I knew he had a blast on the second day when he was thrilled to see Angie again for another play day.
I will definitely use Apres Pooch again next time I’m in Mammoth.

We scheduled for puppy, Winston, to stay with Apres pooch for 2 days over New Years in Doggie Daycare. We didn’t realize that our condo rental was so strict on «NO PETS» and had to switch our reservation at the last second (I’m talking 5 minutes after Natalie dropped him off, we called her and asked her to pick him back up and keep him overnight!) and she was AWESOME! I mean, how accommodating is that?! Winston had so much fun playing all day and Natalie (the owner) truly loves animals and realizes how much of a part of your family they are. She gave us report cards and sent us updates throughout the day on how he was doing. I would 100% recommend her service to anyone looking to stay in Mammoth and will definitely bring Winston back!

We dropped our 6 month old pup Otis off for the day and he was about as happy as we’ve ever seen him when we picked up. He got to play all day with other dogs in a wonderful open space, got taken on a nice long walk, and was exhausted enough afterwards to sleep almost the entire 5 hour car ride home. Natalie is kind and professional and runs an operation that we feel confident in, and we look forward to using the Apres Pooch services again soon.
