Mike is life saver! During our last trip to Mammoth, my window regulator failed causing my my passenger window to fall down.
I stopped at Mike’s shop and explained what happened and he well well versed on how to repair the window.
Mike was a super friendly and dropped us off at the Mountain in the morning to go skiing and called me in the afternoon when my car was ready.
Mike’s an honest mechanic who does excellent work at reasonable prices. Highly recommend his services.

Tire almost fell off on our trip from LA up here. My wheel hub completely locked up and we needed my truck to get home next day. Mike squeezed us in ASAP, had my truck done same day and returned it to my hotel for us. Excellent service, honest pricing. Thanks for all the help and not leaving us stranded. I would recommend this shop every time!!!

While we were up in Mammoth skiing, our diesel SUV broke down. Our roadside assist wanted to tow the car to Reno but we wanted to try and get it fixed locally if possible. Roadside assist sent a truck out to our condo Monday night, it took over 90 minutes because it was coming from Bishop and they couldn’t fix it. So Tuesday morning we searched online and found Mike at Alpine, told him what we thought the problem was. He arrived in less than 15 minutes to help! Mike helped us push the car out of the car port and he got it hooked up to his tow truck. He took it back to his garage and heated it up in the bay, cleaned out the filter and added more fuel and got it working! He called us right when he said he would with updates. Mike was super friendly, professional and honest and really took care of us! We highly recommend his services, and are thankful we found him so we could get home and not have the car towed to Reno unnecessarily. Alpine and Mike absolutely earned 5 stars, and we would give him more stars if we could!

On vacation here with my family. Driving downhill when I realized my brakes weren’t working properly. Called around and Mike offered to look at my car right away. Found that the master cylinder was bad. Got it ordered and fixed by the next day. Able to finish my vacation with my family in a safe car with minimal inconvenience. He picked me up when my car was ready which I wasn’t expecting. A really great experience and great customer service. Thanks Mike!

Disclaimer: It was my fault that I put my E-​brake on during winter.
They came and towed my car to their shop and told me my E-​brakes would be fixed by the end of the day. So i went snowboarding and came back at the end of the day and they charged me $ 300 and gave me a box with my E-​brakes. They said it was the only way to fix this problem. The owner said to take the box to Honda and they’ll re-​install it for cheap.
So I went home and took the box to Honda and the dealer told me that Alpine Garage only had to use a blow dryer to defrost my E-​brake, not actually remove it. Also, the box was missing some parts of my brake and they also used a hammer to remove the E-​brake instead of a rubber mallet so my regular breaks were also damaged. All in all, it cost me $ 1500 to fix my brakes and re-​install my e-​brake.
So I called Alpine Garage to ask for a refund since they didn’t really need to charge me $ 300 for removing my E-​brake b/​c the E-​brake didn’t need to be removed. The owners wife, persisted to tell me that she «knows I’m recording this conversation» and she won’t give a refund. She also said I can’t do anything about it since I live in SoCal and if I wanted to sue them, I would have to go back up to Mammoth to do so.
OVERALL: Its my fault for going there and for letting my E-​brake freeze. BUT this is isn’t how to run a family business. they lack honesty and integrity.
Use this garage to fix your car with caution. I hate to recommend people to not go here because I like to support ma & pa places but this is just ridiculous.
