The City of Malibu was incorporated on March 28, 1991. Located in Northwest Los Angeles County, the City has 21 miles of coastline along the Pacific Ocean and a population of 12,645.
Despite the rockslides, mudslides, fires, rattlesnakes, mountain lions, rats(in the hills), summer traffic jams and rollover car crashes on PCH… this is the place to see and to be. Beach-y but not tropical works for me. Whatever it takes to get here, whatever it costs to live here(I don’t, yet)…is worth it. Where mountains meet the ocean, this is Cali at its best. I love the ‘Bu, ’tis true.

IF I COULDGIVEZEROSTARS I WOULD. The city of Malibu is a disgusting and overly priced city. The beaches are dirty. When we were there the beach was ravaged with debris and the odor was filled with garbage and we were not even close to a restroom or garbage can. The city officials at the beach were rude and are clearly not educated in public matters. The restaurants were not clean and and the food WAS barely edible. DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEEVENSTOPPINGWITHINTHECITYLIMITS.

I was driving to a party out here and I think the main reason I ranked it high was because of the view. The water was shimmering and looked beautiful. The weather was awesome and it looked so peaceful. I was fortunate enough not to get a ticket because the highway patrol along PCH do not play. Stay the speed limit.

I wish I knew more about the City of Malibu other than knowing the fact that it’s an expensive city. It was a great drive on the hwy 1 passing the city. There are a few winery places and a musuem which is on my to-do list! It’s the Getty Villa in Malibu. We in Los Angeles have a Getty Center and Malibu has a muesum right on the Highway 1 with an incredible view of the ocean. Yes, this is a must do for me.
