Precious Memories Bridal

When I arrived my first impression was that the place was clean, bright and set up well. The dresses were displayed beautifully, however, that’s where most of my positive impressions ended.
I requested that my Mom come in the dressing room with me and my consultant had a bad attitude about it stating– «She’ll see all the dresses when you come out.» I had my Mom, sister (MOH) and future mother in law with me and I wanted to make my Mom feel special by making sure she got the first look, something my consultant clearly didn’t understand or respect. Ultimately I insisted she come, but the whole exchange left a bad taste in my mouth from the very beginning.
I came in having only tried on about 5 dresses and had a general idea of the style and fit I was looking for. I asked if we were able to look around– the answer was no. The consultant would be pulling all the dresses because she «knew the inventory». I shared my thoughts with my consultant before she pulled dresses for me to try. Lace, corset back, slim A-​line. She pulled beaded, sparkly, mermaid, ball gown, trumpet, sheath gowns. She gushed over dresses that were out of my price point and that were not even remotely in the style I had requested. I ultimately liked the one dress that I came in already knowing was my dress to beat (a lace, corset back, slim A-​line) and felt pressured to purchase– «We have a sale today only». I decided to walk away and visit another shop that carried my designer. Turns out it was a sale by the designer, not the bridal salon, and it was going on for another week.
I bought that same dress that I loved at the second shop after having an amazing experience. Don’t feel pressured to purchase right away– plenty of other salons carry the same designers. I only plan on getting married once and want to give my business to those that help make the entire experience an enjoyable one.

What an amazing experience — Bonnie was my consultant, and she made me feel so comfortable the entire time. I was fixated on simple, romantic, lace dresses so she brought me about 6 to try on, but also a few of her own picks. Low and behold, one of her picks was the one! It was slightly over my budget, but she told me up front before I ever tried it on. She was patient and sweet and really connected with me during our appointment.
The entire staff was friendly and made me and my guests feel very comfortable. I’ll be coming back next month to find dresses for my bridesmaids and my mother!

I don’t know why everyone has given this place such good reviews it was awful. Yes middle of nowhere but the problem was I felt like cattle just being pushed through their system. They made me stand around for 20 mins and then had one girl introduce herself as the person who would be helping me then left me for another 10 mins only to be passed to another woman.
Finally got to try on dresses 35mins after arriving even though they had hassled me about no even being 2 mins late. Then I told the woman what I wanted and she brought me into a dressing room. Inside she had 3 options. One was 2 sizes too small, one was not even close to what I’d asked for and the other was just ugly (those fake looking beads). Every dress she brought out did not fit me and when I asked for something more specific she seemed annoyed and kept saying things like «I already showed you something like that» Also everything she brought me was wayyy over my budget. Like thousands over my budget… not just a couple hundred. Yes my budget isn’t large (like $ 1500) but why else would I go to a nasty building in the middle of Malden if I could afford something spectacular.
Overall the woman didn’t make me feel special, tossedme around and went way over my budget and not even for dresses I liked. I’ve been to other places and have never been treated like this. 0 stars if I could.

Don’t get scared by being in the middle of nowhere, looking like your about to enter into a creepy cement building that looks like a horror film about to happen. I was skeptical arriving into the parking lot thinking… Is this really where they sell wedding dresses!!! This place is essentially a don’t judge the book by its cover.
When we got in I love how the dresses are sectioned off based on style and type of dress– So you can just go straight there. Each dress also features a photo of the dress with the model in it so you can just view the picture. This totally saved time in guessing what the dress will look like because it’s always different on a hanger versus on a model. I’m not sure why no one else thought of this– it’s pure genius!!!
There is so much dresses to chose from, and the prices are pretty good compared to other shops. Hopefully you’ll find your dress there !

I am super happy with my experience at Precious Memories and would recommend any bride in the area to go to the store. I had previously been to David’s Bridal and really hated how impersonal the whole experience was. I also went to Vows and hated how rushed and frantic everything seemed. I came to Precious Memories, was assigned to Gina and had a totally different, awesome experience.
First off, each dress has a picture on it of what the dress looks like on the model. I didn’t realize how essential this was until I came here. It’s almost impossible to tell what the dress looks like in a bag, so it was really helpful to not waste time trying on dresses since I could see what they really looked like. They also have a good range of different priced dresses and designers to choose from.
I came with pictures of dresses that I liked and Gina pulled those for me to try on. She also then included some picks of her own that she thought I might like. I ended up choosing a dress that she picked out. She was super helpful, patient, and so nice. I’ve been in the store since to pick up my dress and she came over to say hello and even remembers my name. I highly recommend working with Gina, you can’t go wrong.
The store also carries a good amount of accessories, veils, bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. The dressing rooms are really nice and they have different spots in the store to stand on a little stage to look at the dress in full. It’s also super convenient that they have a private parking lot.

So happy I went to Precious Memories. I was looking for a cocktail dress for my own wedding. Gina was terrific, after trying on the 2^nd dress I knew I found the right dress. Roberta (the seamstress) and Gina made it so easy. With some minor alterations I felt like a bride. So may compliments at my wedding on my dress I couldn’t have been happier.

Wedding Shopping Experience! I was hesitant about getting my dress at Precious. Not for any real reason except I grew up in the area and thought I should travel or something for my dress. What a mistake that would have been! Precious Memories is an incredible bridal boutique. I had an amazing experience! It started back in December and I went in on a Friday afternoon with two folks in my entourage. Please do not let these wedding shows convince you to bring more people than that! The best thing I ever did was keep my dress as much of a secret as possible. I had a large wedding party and only 3 people knew what my dress looked like. It was hard but made the day super special. I had a good idea of what I wanted and had pictures with me. I had been holding out for this amazing Pronovias Gown and thought it would be the one. I went in looking for an A Line V Neck gown. I knew I didn’t want lace or satin but otherwise was open… Then I met Gina, my bridal consultant! Gina was so welcoming and so helpful. She listened to what i wanted and pulled some dresses that matched including the Pronovias. When we got started she helped me in the dresses and make no mistake about it — this is super fun! Trying on wedding dresses is a BLAST! The first dress was ok, the Pronovias was beautiful but seemed like an obvious choice for me. Gina asked me to step out of my comfort zone and try on a strapless fit n flare. She told me to not try to hide my curves but to highlight the hourglass. And with a magical corset back — it sure did that! This dress was PERFECT for me! I loved everything about it. I went with a modern style and a very traditional cathedral length veil. We knew it was the one the minute I had it on and Gina still helped me in and out of 3 more styles! We found it. I also had custom work done to the dress as I wanted removable straps and they are exceptional with tailoring the dress to fit your needs. Seriously, she is a magician! My experience at Precious was AMAZING! Gina is a great consultant and a wonderful person!

I had no idea what I wanted and was new to the Boston area. I feared dress shopping alone would be daunting. After making an appointment I went to look at dresses. Gina was so helpful. I felt like I had a close friend with me the entire time. She took the time to get to know me. She asked me a series of questions while showing me several dresses to zone in on what I (subconsciously) wanted. AMAZING!
They made the process and pricing very transparent so there were no «surprises.» Communications and email confirmations were really helpful to keep me on track.
Everyone that I encountered from the sales specialist to the seamstress were incredibly professional, good at what they do and honestly happy to help me find, alter and take care of my dream dress.
The alterations included a second fitting which made sure that this dress fit PERFECTLY. They even pressed and stored my dress until just the wedding to make sure it was pristine.
I loved every moment of this experience and strongly recommend it to anyone getting married in the Boston area.

One of my best friends is getting married in September and I’m MOH in her wedding. I’ve always been skeptical of the little boutique bridal shops because I feel like they usually have a limited selection and I also feel like they are too expensive for my tastes (I bought my own wedding dress off the rack at David’s bridal for $ 300 9 years ago and didn’t need any alterations!).
From my first experience with this shop to my last, I’ve been incredibly impressed. I am plus size — usually a 22 in dresses — so when the bride told me she got her dress here, I was nervous. I first looked online, then called to discuss plus size options — and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they not only could get the dresses that I liked online in my size, but that they had a huge selection to choose from; all for around $ 200. I can do that.
When the bride and I came in, the staff took their time with us and let us choose a bunch of dresses to try. they were patient with me in helping me vision what the dresses would look like if they fit me right (they had some dresses in my size and some not in my size for me to try on). I picked out and ordered a dress quickly, and they helped me with sizing. My dress barely needed any alterations at all, I was so happy. I’ve been back with the bride a few times for her fittings. they took the time to show me how to do the bustle to her dress and were also very patient with her with regard to alterations (she has lost a bunch of weight and needed some major ones).
I’d absolutely recommend Precious Memories to anyone in the area that’s looking for a dress. So many options, good prices, and a wonderful staff make for a great experience.

I am not the «typical» bride in the sense that I just wanted a dress that was affordable and kind of different. I wasn’t looking for the «dress of my dreams» so to speak, but Mercedes helped me find the perfect dress nonetheless. She was warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. It was right within my budget and she helped me «style it up» so that I can make the dress different enough that it felt like my own. My only beef (if you can even call it a beef) was that when I called back several weeks later about getting the dress steamed, whoever answered the phone wasn’t too helpful. I guess some bridal shops will steam your dress for you, and maybe because I bought a sample that wasn’t the case. Other than that though, I highly recommend this boutique. Nice selection. Great prices. Fabulous staff. Ask for Mercedes! She’s the best!

Rude consultant, giving attitude when I wanted to try different dresses.

I just bought my wedding dress at Precious Memories, and I was thrilled with my experience there! I had Mercedes for my consultant, and she was awesome! She really listened to what I wanted and stayed within my price range. She made the experience fun and memorable! The store is large and had a great selection. Also, the consultants seem to have only one appointment at a time, so they give you their undivided attention and help you in and out of all of the dresses you are trying on.

I went to Precious Memories hoping I’d find my wedding dress based on all the wonderful reviews I read online and referrals from my friends. When I booked the appointment the girl who picked up the phone was super friendly. However, when I came there all my expectations went down the drain.
There were two girls at the front and none of them greeted me when I arrived. Ok, perhaps they were a little busy. I sat down and waited patiently. The person who finally went to greet me was named Sharon. I told her I had a 5 o’clock but I’m early. She was very rude! Lets just say, even if you’re having a bad day you should treat people nicely if you want their business. No thank you, I’m going elsewhere. I hope everyone else does too. I left after 5 mins. Such a waste of time!

I had a very great experience at this store. I was there back in December to try on some wedding dresses. I was very fortunate to have been able to work with the owner, Joyce. She was amazing! She worked within my budget and found a lot of beautiful dresses to try on. But of course, the one dress that was slightly out of my price range was the dress I ended up going with. But Joyce never pressured me into anything. Ultimately, she wants every bride to look/​feel beautiful in their wedding dress on their wedding day. And I felt amazing in the dress! It took a little over 4 months to order the dress in my size, but fortunately, I only needed hemming done, so I wasn’t too stressed about it. I picked up my dress this past weekend, and I am sooooo excited to wear it on my wedding day.
Speaking of alterations, please note that the store’s tailor is only available 10 – 6 Mon-​Fri. So if you have aN 8:30 — 5:30 work schedule like mine, it will not work for you. I know there are multiple fittings and I just didn’t have the time to take off work so I ended up with a different tailor who was more flexible with my schedule.
I would definitely recommend checking out this store if you’re looking for bridal gowns because they have so many dresses in different price ranges and they’ll work within your budget. They also have a great selection of bridesmaid and mother of bride/​groom dresses (but I thought they are a tad pricey, even though they’re beautiful). If you catch them on their sales, you might find some great dresses to wear at other friends’ weddings! My sister bought 3 dresses for less than $ 80 each!

I visited lots of wedding dress shops in the Boston area, but I just loved Precious Memories because they have beautiful dresses but are also low-​key.
Gina helped me today find my perfect dress, and it was such a great experience because she was honest with me, did not pressure me into anything and found me a dress that I really loved and was a good fit for my body type. My mom lives in a different state and wasn’t able to come this time (this was round two for dresses) so it was really nice to have Gina there :) THANK YOU GINA!

Very happy with the customer service we received while at this bridal shop. My sister (the bride) found her gorgeous dress here and Joyce the owner was so nice and accommodating. We also got our bridesmaids dresses here which we looked previously to other bridal shops and got very bad customer service with so it was definatly refreshing to have our needs met. We got a lot of helpful and genuine advice!
Joyce took her time with us and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the dresses we were picking out and she helped us pick the bridesmaids dresses for the wedding!

I can not believe how fabulous this place was. Gina made me feel comfortable and at ease about my wedding dress. She helped me pick out styles that would look good with my body type. She was knowledgable and insightful. I would highly recommend precious memories to any bride looking for her ideal dress.

I was referred to Precious Memories by a friend and it was my last stop! I said YES to the dress here.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I explained the characteristics of the dress I had in mind and they had such a wonderful selection to fit my vision.
The store is very large and they have a variety of designers and price points.
Most importantly the consultants there know the dresses. Everything goes so much smoother when the person helping you is knowledgeable and listens to what you are saying.
I should have made this my first stop!

After doing some online research for bridal shops in my area I decided to book an appointment at Precious Memories since it was relatively close to my house and appeared to have a good selection of gowns online. I booked an appointment a week in advance and completed what I thought would be their helpful online form detailing my desired dress. Apparently no one reviews that form prior to your arrival. I arrived on time for my appointment, only to stand around for 10 minutes without even a greeting hello. I had to stalk a young lady that worked there to even get checked in. For all my initial appointments with bridal shops I go by myself, so far I am thinking this is a good decision since it is just me being inconvenienced at this point.
A consultant greeted me about five minutes later and we sat to discuss what I was looking for in a bridal gown (tea length, not strapless). The consultant said they don’t carry any tea length and nearly every gown is strapless. Which leads me back to the online form. Why did I fill it out if it wasn’t going to be reviewed? If it had been reviewed, then perhaps the shop could have called to cancel my appointment. Instead I wasted a Saturday afternoon going to a bridal shop that doesn’t even carry the type of dress I am looking for. For future reference Brides, call ahead to determine if they even have what you are looking for since the form they have you complete is not utilized. I am thankful I didn’t bring along numerous friends and family to have their time wasted as well.
Precious Memories should note that the most precious thing is TIME. Mine was certainly wasted.

I had been to a number of bridal boutiques before going to Precious Memories, and now I wish it was the first! I worked with Marize, and she was the absolute best. I tried on at least 10 gowns before deciding on the one, which was over 30 minutes past when the boutique closed.
Dress selection and customer service was hands down– I did not feel the least bit pressured or hurried; and I have to admit I am a tough critic! Kudos ladies!
