I’ve never purchased leottery ticket before so don’t really know how to play it. I asked the service to buy nine tickets and she just take my cash and give me nine random numbers which printed on two tickets and don’t even ask me if i wanted to choose the number by myself! There’s only one friendly guy at there helped me and tell me how to play it. Kappa’s liquors should never hire people like them who don’t show respect to their customers !

You almost feel like dancing into this place you are so happy to be here. I have driven by the store on route 1 and the store near the north shore mall, but I decided to go to this one since it is close to where I live and the parking is excellent here. I love Harpoon’s Pumpkin Cider on tap, so I have been trying to get it at other places with no success. And behold, Kappy’s had an abundance of it in six pack bottles. It is ten for a six pack bottle, but trust me people, it is well worth it. You truly have not lived until you have tasted pumpkin cider. And this place is so clean you could almost lick beer off the floor. I am going to watch the New England Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills while drinking pumpkin cider I bought from Kappy’s.

I like the Kappy’s. The building might be a touch older so the floors look a little dirty, but I’m not eating off the floor. The neighborhood(East Somerville) is not so great and the intersection is wicked busy(Route 28& Revere Parkway, aka Route 16). And it’s not too far from Wellington T station. Decent selection and prices(the sale items were usually good, the non-sale prices aren’t the cheapest but okay). I liked their wine tasting events(which often included some deals). Some monthly specials as well. Pretty well-staffed(usually 2 – 4 cashiers and a few other people floating around). Examples: good selection of Moscato D’Asti, Burgundies, champagne, Californian wines. They had a kosher and dessert wine section too. Good amount of liquors. I’ve never been pressured to buy something but every time I visit, I seem to walk out with something.

I was at a conference at a nearby hotel and stopped by to get a couple of bottles of wine. I was wondering around lost in the great selection of wine when a sales person asked me if they could help me find something. I told them the brand I was looking for and the gentleman said, «Oh that is a New Zealand brand and I keep my wine by country rather then by type». He took me right to the section that had the brand that I was looking for. That is when I realized he was the owner. Now that is service and saved me a lot time just wondering around. I am from Seattle and come out to the Boston area once or twice a year and if near Peabody will come back to this Kappy’s again!

The staff is very attentive and has been there forever. We don’t drink but do cook with wine. so I make the long walk up the street to get a bottle of wine to cook with or a couple bottles of beer to use in a braise. They have a very large selection of wines, beer, and spirits. Finding what your looking for here shouldn’t be hard at all.

Liquor store… pretty standard. One of the smaller Kappy’s locations but still a pretty good selection. The neighborhood surrounding this location could be better.

It’s easy to forget that there’s a Kappy’s on Main Street, but this location has saved an unnecessary trip to a store further away many times. Kappy’s is sort of like the Dunkin Donuts of beer stores… you can definitely give directions around Malden using Kappy’s as landmarks.

LOVE Kappy’s. They have a friendly and helpful staff, and a tremendous selection of craft beer. The redemption desk is easy too… they generally just take my word for how many bottles I’m returning. I will drive past 6 other liquor stores on a regular basis to come to Kappy’s!

Oh, Kappy’s. Your floor may be dirty and neighborhood characters may be hanging around your redemption desk from time to time, but I still love you. This Kappy’s has a wonderful selection of major brands of most liquors, beers and wines. This is not a boutique liquor store– this is a nuts and bolts, a little bit of everything packie. One area that sparkles is their single malt Scotch. Not only do they have gift boxes around the holidays(usually featuring some type of branded glassware), their selection gets past constants Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, goes through the rarer Talisker, Oban and Laphroaig and into more obscure labels with which I’m not familiar. Right before Christmas, I was looking to gift a bottle of Barbancourt, a demi-obscure Haitian rum. Not only did they have it, they had two varieties. The beer selection is not heavy on craft beer– there are three rows of shelves vs. seven or eight for American and imported macro brands– but they have a solid variety of Sam Adams, Harpoon(including the heavyweight Leviathan series) along with a nice variety of mostly northeastern smaller breweries(Mayflower, Otter Creek, Wachusett, Long Trail, Sea Dog, Ipswich, Gritty McDuff’s, Magic Hat, etc.). Selection for bombers is usually limited to Sam Adams, Harpoon and Ommegang offerings. There’s also some warm Samuel Smith six packs, some varieties of framboise and some Belgians like Duvel and Chimay. I honestly can’t comment on the wine selection as I’m not much of an expert, but they do have wine tastings some Saturday evenings. They also have sodas and other mixers, as well as some lower end potato chips, nuts and packaged snacks. Overall, this Kappy’s is a great place to build the bedrock of your liquor cabinet or grab an impromptu six pack after work. Don’t expect anything terribly exotic or specialized, but sometimes you will be surprised.

This is my «go-to» liquor store because of its location, selection, and price. They are by far the cheapest liquor store in the area and have the best selection. They also have fun«discounted» parts of the store with a myriad of items. My favorite was the singles beer discounted table. A 16 oz. bottle of Heineken Light for 49 cents? Sold!

I used to frequent this Kappy’s on a regular basis when I lived in Malden. Not a bad place. Decent prices for the area with monthly specials. The staff are helpful and friendly when I checked out. Decent selection but they do not have everything as this store is not as huge as the one at Wellington Circle.
