A for effort.
As a guy who has a bunch of family near Chicago it is hard for me to really embrace the Italian beef sandwich fully. But, with the side of gravy it wasn’t’t bad. I cant hold the owner to Chicago standards since we are in FL and I’m just happy to have a place that serves Italian Beef sandwiches nearby.

At a very good hot dog with spicy mustard and sauerkraut the sauerkraut had very good flavor and was put together very well over the combo and the fries are a little bit lacking however overall I would highly recommend anybody looking for a very good hot dog with an enormous amount of combinations the real options besides hot dogs for those of you who don’t like them I would highly recommend this place if you’re into hot dogs

We went to a Chubby’s in search for something like Anthony Bourdaine’s lay over in NYC hotdogs — needless to say say Chubby’s fell short. The place has a bunch of chachki décor. The place wasn’t very clean, the baskets they serve your hot dogs in have probably never been cleaned. Soon after we left we knew we should have spent our monies elsewhere. Sorry to say we won’t be going back.

The hot dogs are average at best. To be honest we really wanted to like this place based in the Unilocal reviews but it was WONKY. I’m all for atmosphere and I don’t need five star to make me feel better about my meal but this place could use a good cleaning. And the hot dogs… Well, I think you could and would do well at sonic compared to this place. It was a genuinely weird experience all the way around without the food to back it up. Skip this place.

Found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it for lunch based on the reviews. Definitely no regrets!!! I got the Italian Beef (wet) with onion rings. Beef was great, tender and good quality. Onion rings were really good as well. I’m pretty particular about onion rings and these were really good. Coworker got the chicken Philly and he said it was good as well.

So I finally got a chance to try this place and it did not disappoint. There are a few places that sell beef’s in Orlando and to be honest they are terrible. This is by far the best I’ve had in the area. I will 100% be coming back.

The beefs here are amazing. They’re juicy, hot, and the flavor combination is literally mouthwatering. I would definitely recommend and fully intend on getting an Italian beef.
I tried the chili dog and it honestly wasn’t much better than something you might pick up at Sonic. It was better than the Hot Dog Heaven but not by much.
Again the beef, amazing.

Recently needed a Chicago dog. Like… needed. We didn’t have time to get to Hotdog Heaven accross town so we stopped here. I was not disappointed but not super won over either. Nice place. Decent dogs. I’ll probably cone back if I need a fix but I’m true to HDH.

I absolutely loveeeeeee Chubby’s! I am a hot dog fanatic so a place like this is right up my alley. In the past I have been known to get a super chubby basket (chili and slaw; slaw only; or chili and cheese topping) which comes with fries and a drink. That is very filling and most times I end up not being able to eat it all so I’ve downsized to the chubby basket. They have delicious corn dogs as well but the hot dogs have my heart. The owners are soooo nice. This place is in maitland and I was working on the west side of Orlando… I would call and place an order close to closing time sometimes and the lady would wait for me to come! Amazing customer service. The environment is casual and is typically not crowded. Definitely worth your business if you’ve never been.

Being from Chicago, it’s tough to find a place that feels and tastes just like home when you are in Florida! The dogs and polish sausage were awesome, the staff was very kind and Chicagoans as well. Definitely recommend it if you’re from Chicago driving by!

Happened across this place when trying to find another restaurant but glad we did because now this is the current favorite. Everything you want in a hot dog joint — the Chicago Dog was wonderful, and I also always order a Polish Sausage with sauerkraut. Both were as good as I’ve ever had. The owner and his wife are wonderful happy people who you really want to support so it feels good to give them my money :)

Have you ever had an out-​of-​body experience while eating hot dogs? Because I have, and it was at Chubby’s.
My boss & I made the drive from downtown Orlando after he had been hyping up Chubby’s for a few weeks. I ordered a chilli cheese dog. After sinking my teeth into the dog, I realized what all the hype was about.
The hot dogs are massive. The toppings are more than generous. And the fries are pretty good too.
As we left Chubby’s, a single tear rolled down my eye as I realized that I wasn’t sure the next time I would experience the feelings I had on that Tuesday afternoon.
In all seriousness, Chubby’s makes a killer hot dog. If you like hot dog’s, eat here!

When my two 20-​something children offered to take me to lunch for Father’s Day I gave them two options, Chubby’s for Italian Beefs or another tasty restaurant favorite on 17⁄92. Their vote was instantaneous and enthusiastic: «Chubby’s!»
Friendly people, eclectic menu of dogs and toppings, very nice thin crisp fries, and the Best Italain Beef Sandwich in Greater Orlando. Get it wet with the hot giardiniera and your mouth will thanks you many times over. Lots of napkins required. BTW — The Polish Sausage is great, too.

Can’t tell you how many times we’ve driven past here and said one day we have to try it. Well one day finally came.
I’m not from the Chicago area but I have good friends who are and I know how strongly they feel about their Chicago dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. Chubby’s is a good option to fill those cravings without having to deal with lake effect snow to do so.
I opted to try the spicy polish sausage myself and it was wonderfully flavorful with just the perfect amount of heat. The sausage had a nice snap to it when I bit in. The toppings (in my case kraut, onion relish and spicy mustard) were generous and tasty. The roll was fresh and soft. And I upgraded to tater tots for a fun alternative to fries.
I’ll be honest, I have rarely met a hot dog I haven’t liked but I like some more than others and this iteration of meat in tube form was one I enjoyed quite a bit. One day is sure to become one more day where Chubby’s is concerned because we will be back.
