No!! the rooms are nice, but that is the only thing good I can say. the staff is rude and very unhelpful. The middle aged short haired woman at the front desk makes you feel like you arnt a customer and they are doing you a favor renting a room. honestly I have never felt more disrespected spending my money ever!!! Days inn down the street has all the same quality rooms with decent staff I highly recommend if u can dont waste your time with sleep inn. also the night I stayed I noticed police harass 2 different rooms so either a lot of crime outside of town or the same «desk people» find it appropriate to involve authority for whatever reason .I’m guessing there kids were loud as I didn’t see a single person arrested. stay AWAY!

This would be a 4-​star if only they kept the one front desk clerk (middle aged lady with shortish hair) in the back room. This lady is the epitome of miserable. One time is a bad day, but several times she has checked us in and she doesn’t have a friendly bone in her body. She rattles off rules like she’s in the Marines, and she even went as far as to stop me mid-​sentence to continue a rant. Their stay and play rate is awesome, you can’t go wrong if you are planning to hit Ho-​Chunk, just don’t forget your Ho-​Chunk card or Helga the horrible will not be happy. Clean rooms and pool area. Like I said, only the 1 complaint — but definitely worth noting.

Making a cross country road trip, my friend and I decided to push across the Northern Plains and head for a pit stop in Madison. Neither of us had been there before so other than the immediate college town association with the place, we weren’t sure what to expect. The stop in itself was more for rest then it was for seeing the area so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something right in the city although it’s a 10 minute drive at most to State street and campus. The tough part about our trip was that we have a 100 pound black lab with us and it’s tough to find accommodating hotels. Sleep Inn was highly recommended so we booked it. It was the best decision on the trip as the place was clean and very accepting of people travelling with animals. The service was also great and I unfortunately didn’t get the name of the guy working the desk when we checked in, but he was super friendly and helpful getting us checked in and then recommending some places in town for us to check out on our brief stay. If location isn’t a huge priority for you, then based on service and value, this is a great choice for a hotel in Madison.

When you travel with your pet, your overnight choices are usually relegated to 2 star, generic, slightly run down accommodations. NOT THIS LOCATION! If you are in the Madison WI area, and need a place to stay, you will not be disappointed. The prices are reasonable. The hotel is new. The grounds are well cared for. The beds. Did I mention the beds?!! Plush. Thick. Pillow top. Lots of Pillows. The Bed is EVERYTHING, IMHO. Sleep Inn also offers free breakfast. Load up on that coffee. Usually, you often pay a fee or deposit when u travel with your pet. Get ready. $ 10 per pet. CAN U BELIEVE IT?! So. Anytime we are in MADISON, Wi, we will be staying at Sleep Inn Tradewinds. And Fellow dog owners, please keep the property CLEAN and clean up after your pet! How can u be so lazy?!

We were traveling back to Minnesota and stopped because would allow pets. We paid 99 dollars for a room. Very clean had a microwave and refrigerator. Pool was kid friendly and nice free breakfast. Didnt have to stay in crappy smoking room because of bringing dog. Also only charged 10. dollars for the pet. Very nice moderate priced hotel catering to 1 overnight travelers. Not sure why everyone gives less than 5 stars when they are happy with everything. The hotel meet all expectations. Yes I have stayed in much bigger nicer hotels. Marriott, Ritz Carlton etc however paid 200 plus for the room and it was for an extended stay, this hotel really does what it is designed to do and that is accommodate overnight travelers give them a free breakfast and get them on their way. Great for our family of 4 plus dog driving back from ohio. We will be back on next trip.

Stayed here one night for a work trip. My Room was clean. My room was near the hotels storage room which a staff member kept going in and out making a lot of noise. Breakfast in the morning. There’s a pool here which I think brings more families/​kids yelling and I think I heard a dog bark once but nothing to complain about. Hotel is not near anything. If you’re looking for food near by you need to drive to everything.
If I need to stay in Madison again I might stay here again depending on other prices.

This hotel is well-​maintained and managed. The WiFi worked satisfactorily. This time I used their Fitness Center and had no complaints. My only gripe is with the noise — the room above was very noisy (sounded like kids) until 10 PM. I believe the problem arises mostly on the weekend when the parents travel and bring the kids to use the pool. Also, they allow dogs — during the night I heard a dog yapping.

This is my new favorite Madison hotel! It was a little hard for me to get to, because my GPS isn’t the smartest, but Google maps found it okay. The price was as good as any other hotel, like Super 8 or Baymont, but the hotel was very nice, nicer than the Super 8 for sure.
Super clean, and the room was great. Very nicely furnished, and comfortable. The bed was perfect. And the bathroom was great – no gross bathtub, just a nice modern shower. I would definitely recommend this place, and will be staying here again.

A bit out of the city center but close to the highway, which is all that we needed it for anyway. You have to drive through a short stretch of not-​quite-​trailer park neighborhood even though it’s visible from the highway. I like it because it’s brand new and therefore clean, but I’m sure in a year or two it’ll be properly grotty.
