Meriano’s Bake Shoppe

Meriano’s has fantastic baked goods. We picked up some fresh made bread. Very nice, perfectly crusty on the outside, wonderfully soft on the inside. I recommend the brownie sandwiches, they go perfectly with a glass of milk. Picked up an éclair for the first time and they are fantastic. The choux they make is everything. Tiramisue is classic, original, and perfectly not over sweet like most bakeries do.

Well I’m from Long Island New York so you can’t get Italian pastries and other desserts like you’ve gotten there so far. But Mariano’s is very good. I love rainbow cookies there’s are I would say an 8 out of 10. For the holidays I definitely call in advance & order them to make sure I get them. I honey balls however theirs I don’t particularly care for so I have a recipe they’re a daunting process to make but I’ll have to learn. They do have delicious cannolis lots of different flavors like the cookies n cream, PB, Chocolate, raspberry etc. They have many pastries and seasonal ones most have choice flavoring of custard, vanilla /​chocolate pudding or whipped cream. They also have delicious cheesecake individual cheesecake plain w/​w out whipped cream or blackforest my fave. I could go on all day. Mix of Italian cookies, large cookies + loaves Italian bread, rye bread etc. They also make a ton of stuffed bread. During Easter time they have the ham pie that you can buy a half or a whole day usually have some daily you can also pre-​order. On a daily basis have a variety of cakes & cheese cheese cakes. + can pre-​order round, ½ sheet, sheet custom cakes. Decent $ a lot of items are sold individually. Say they have a cannoli truck but not sure when it goes out I know you can rent it out. Closed on Mondays. You think if I move to Madison on Boston Post Road on the south side of street.

I went there recently in the morning and upon asking if the rolls were fresh, the person said yes. Unfortunately i took her word for it. When i got home the rolls were as hard as a rock. I definitely would not reccomend.

Not many bakeries these days make Napolean style Cannoli cake, but Meriano’s does, and they do it very well.
This cake was a big hit on Xmas day. Everyone raved about it. Filling was delicious, the frosting was not to sweet and complemented the cake layers perfectly. Went back again today (12÷27÷14) and picked up some Butter cookies and a couple Cannoli’s

Omg… These cannolies are SO good! I discovered their truck at an event at Hammonnasset this weekend. Unlike other bakeries they fill them right in front of you, no soggy shell… We got 6 for $ 16 which is a fair $$ & they were awesome! My favorite was the pumpkin & my husband liked the traditional. They also donate $$ to Smilow from truck sale proceeds, which is a charity close to my heart. Can’t wait for some excuse to get more!

I’m a cannoli fanatic. Truth be told, there isn’t many a cannoli that I do not enjoy. (unless of course there’s orange zest in the ricotta. then I’m over so it).
Anyways, stumbled upon this little gem at the garlic fest.

It was everything I wanted and more. Actually just googled this place a week later because I’m craving another one of those delicious… and arguably, the best cannoli I’ve ever had.

A wonderful family owned bakery that really does a great job. You cannot beat their cannolis or cookies, their pride is evident in everything they produce!

Went in today — all the way from Bridgeport — to get some cannoli dip. Had to order it in advance — fine, but the man in the back was so rude. I felt terrible for the girl that was waiting on us. We had some questions regarding sizes and prices and all he did was yell at the poor girl. My friend finally asked if he was interested in making a sale since he couldn’t be bothered to come out and speak to us. The girl just made excuses for him but she was terribly embarrassed. Walked in the door excited but left totally disappointed! Not very good at customer service that’s for sure. :-(

Several months ago I had a freshly piped cannoli from Meriano’s Bake Shoppe at the opening day event for The Meat House in Branford. I was so taken by this delectable Italian pastry that I took the mic from the DJ and announced to all the people at the party that this was the best cannoli I’d ever had. This is a true story and not an exaggeration.
My boyfriend surprised me with cannolis from Meriano’s Bake Shoppe on New Years Eve (what a guy) and they are still the best cannoli’s I have ever had! The crust was airy, crunchy, and fresh. The filling was creamy, the ideal sweetness, and had chocolate bits that added flavor and textural interest. They were generously coated with confectioners sugar. The pastry shell was still crunchy and delicious days later.
He also brought home a slice of hazelnut chocolate mousse cake that was so good it was hard to stop eating after two bites. A silky smooth hazelnut mousse center atop a moist yet crumbly chocolate crust contrasted nicely against the layer of chopped hazelnuts sprinkled on top. It took ever fiber of my being to not finish the whole slice in one sitting in an attempt to exercise some restraint after eating a cannoli and a thousand Christmas cookies.

I’ve just found the best bakery in town! This past weekend I stopped in to order a birthday cake even though I had no prior experience with this bakery. I have to say from the moment I walked in I was pleased. The cake decorator chatted with me to be sure she got exactly what I was looking for and I was extremely pleased with the cake when I picked it up the following day. The cake was delicious, moist, and everyone raved at how awesome the cake looked and tasted. It met my expectations 100%.
The pastries looked delicious — a full case of every type imaginable. Had I not purchased a cake for the occasion I would have selected some of the delicious looking goodies available. I will definitely be back to try more.

Imaginative pastries that could get 5 stars if done properly. Problem is, they all just taste like pastry. I had a nutella cannoli and instead of tasting like nutella, it tasted like a regular cannoli. Not a great cannoli either with that gritty, cheesy mascarpone, just your average sweet one. If they were priced more reasonably I may have returned them a star, but I don’t see myself coming back.

Leave the gun, take the cannoli. I have never been to the bake shop, but picked up a very good chocolate chip-​chocolate covered-​almond mandel broit at the coventry farmers market. good stuff. now i just need to get to the shop and check out what other goodness they make.
