Ive been holding off on a review until I had visited dan and joes at least three times. I’ve been to many barber shops in my life and I especially enjoyed those I went to in my youth in the 1950’s &60’s in Brooklyn NYC. I’ve found a place that is reminiscent of it, though a lot more modern, but much the same. A row of barber chairs and very talented barbers each offering much the same attention and detail to their work. Always a full house of patrons and an empty chair every 10 minutes(not saying it’s a 10 minute haircut but another chair becomes available quickly). They are meticulous and polite and spend the time needed to please you. There’s nothing like a straight razor and hot lather at the end. I thank you John for a wonderful haircut today and«no surprise at the end», it was just the way I wanted it!

These guys are amazing! Best haircut I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is welcoming to all, from children to adults. The conversation is always light and lively! All joking around aside though, their work is the best around. Perfect cuts every time, straight razor work on the neck, and impeccable beard work. I should know, I have the best beard around! I wouldn’t trust it to anyone but DAN&JOES!

These barbers are slow jerks. After it took an hour for me to get my hair cut on a Tuesday morning, I let the owners know I found their jokes about Latinos and illegal immigrants offensive. The owners response: «Dude it’s a barbershop. Go to a salon.» If you’ve got a lot of time on your hands and you want to pack a lip at 10AM and shoot the shit with some bros, go here. If not, stay away.

Dan and Joe’s Barbershop is simply the best on the shoreline. Friendly environment with excellent service. You can be yourself and enjoy a good laugh. Plus, they have a friendly dog name Buzz who greets you and doesn’t mind a good belly rub. And yes, if you go there on a Saturday you will have to wait and that is because they are that good and people don’t mind waiting.
