History
Established in 1999.
Children’s Dental Center was established on July 1, 1999 when Dr. Tim Kinzel and Dr. Eric teDuits became partners to offer a pediatric dental office to Madison and the surrounding areas. Their goal was to establish an office where families could feel confident that their child was in a safe, «kid-friendly» environment, and that they were receiving the best care possible.
Dr. Dan DeJarlais became a partner in 1994 and is known by his patients as the «singing dentist».

Business Owner
Dr. DeJarlais is known to the children as «Dr. Dan.» His goal is to provide a high standard of pediatric dental care in a kind, fun environment to infants, children, adolescents, and children with special needs.
Dr. Dan grew up in Calumet City, Illinois and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Northwestern University in 1997. His certificate in pediatric dentistry was earned at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 1999.
Dr. Dan enjoys running marathons, traveling, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
Professionally, Dr. DeJarlais serves on committees for both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Dan helps teach dental residents at the Max Pohle Dental Clinic at Meriter Hospital.
