How can you go wrong with a pasta place. I hate the way they have the damn menu, it cost 20 $+ for a dish to share. The bread comes cold most of the time and they give you like ¹⁄₁₆ of a loaf to share for 4 people. The prices are way to high for what you get. It’s not like pasta cost a ton. I think they must open a can of sauce and throw over some noodles. It also drives me crazy all the crap on the walls. They have so many rooms and hall ways it hard to find the bathroom

I have to say when I saw the low average Unilocal review I thought to myself it can’t be that bad.
I won’t call it bad. Just not very good. They have a fairly small menu so you would then expect it all to be excellent. It’s average. I’m just experiencing off my salad but it wasn’t that good. I added the chicken and that was a mistake. Cold day old chicken strips (breaded) what tastes like.
Service was slow too at lunch.
I’m not from the area but as it is a chain I will most likely steer clear in future. So many better Italian restaurants out there.
Note I overheard waitress apologizing to table behind me for slow service and that they didn’t like their food. Heard waitress at table in front of me apologizing for leaving shrimp off their salad. Not a good sign.

I should have listen to the bad reviews and skipped the restaurant. There were only 4 reviews 2 bad 2 good so it was a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance. The inside just had a weird feeling. It seemed dirty. There was dried sauce on the table cloth that I had to ask to be cleaned. Very over priced for what you get. The food tasted like a frozen dinner. The bread they brought to dip in oil was not good and the oil didn’t have a good strong flavor. It seemed like the food was more like something you would get at a fast food Italian restaurant. Not impressed. Won’t be going back.

Took a family member here yesterday for a birthday. Trust me when I say that YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO THE OLIVE GARDEN. Maybe other locations are good but this one stunk. It was my first time going and I’m turned off from the restaurant as a whole. Ordered a lunch portion of spaghetti with a meatball. Don’t worry, the meatball is half a pound so it’s humongous and can be chunked up. The marinara sauce is disgusting. It has NO FLAVOR! No salt, no spice, no nothing. Just bland bland bland. I asked for some garlic salt to spice it up and they had none. Just regular salt and pepper is your option. Mama Russo’s sauce in a jar would kick this out of the ball park. Hell, Chef Boyardee in a can tastes better than this overpriced muck. Nasty nasty nasty just nasty. The only good thing we enjoyed were the fried cheese appetizers served with a side of sauce. The bread we ordered had a hair in it and even if it didn’t, it wasn’t all that. Pepperidge farm garlic texas toast has more taste than this. Ummm, stay away. At least at the Olive Garden, they season their food. I could have made everything we ordered at home and it would have tasted 200 times better. What a waste of money. Everything was tasteless and disgusting. I will not come back. The Mario Brothers wouldn’t even eat here. It’s overpriced crap.

Third year in a row my wife and I went here for our anniversary. We sat in the Kitchen. We were served by Justice. She was great, charming and sweet. We were given a gift of glassware from the Chef. They go out of their way to be nice. The food, as always was amazing. We love this place. Great staff. Thank you all!

OMG! I used to recommend Bucca Di Beppo to everyone as a great alternative to Olive Garden. It was actually one of my father’s favorite restaurants, and we’ve been to several locations, but I feel compelled to warn everyone away from the one in Macon. On a recent trip we first noticed they were very heavy handed when pushing an overpriced drink promotion (FYI, 12 to 14 $ a pop). What was worse than the 5 min. pitch they made you sit through was the fact that, if you wanted to order a drink without a souvenir glass, in some cases you couldn’t and in others you had to ask your server how much it would be because they omitted the regular drinks from the menu. Best part of the drink snafu was that you were supposed to get ½ drinks after you ordered the overpriced glass, which we did, only to be told afterwards that didn’t apply to my $ 14 drink. When we complained the Af. Amer. woman who was the manager and who had told us about the special in the first place, said she’d made a mistake and told us the wrong thing, then put her hand up in my face and said «you need to let me finish». My whole family was in shock. The woman was dressed like a slob in a shirt that was too small for her with a stain on it, she had screwed up and was basically telling me to shut up. You think it can’t get worse, but just wait…
So we ordered out favorite salad, which is their signature Bucca salad for 15 $. When it arrived, in addition to having way too much dressing and a whole lot of wilted brown lettuce, it looked like some of the ingredients were missing. We asked to see a menu and counted SEVEN ingredients they hadn’t bothered to put on the plate. Just so you know, that means there were actually more ingredients missing from the salad than they to put in it. Obviously we point this out and after waiting 10 minutes the nasty, gross, disgusting managed waddles over again and offers to give us a salad to go. WTF? When we point out to her that dressed salads don’t keep, so, no, we don’t want a pile of compost to go, she rolls her eyes and say she guesses they won’t charge us for it.
To round out the already painful experience we were treated to: cold, stale chewy bread, a stained napkin left on out table, a broken vinegar bottle that spilled too much balsamic in our dipping oil (the server who added the balsamic herself shrugged and laughed at that like it was hilarious), chicken that was burned black, sausage that was cooked to the consistency of shoe leather, as well as a whole host of other disappointments. After we got home we complained to the headquarters who said no one ever complains about that location (which I don’t believe for a second) and they hope we come back. Ha! Ha! Ha! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. Learn from our mistake and stay away.

This location is a fairly new addition to the riverside drive mall. Its one of the better choices in dining when it comes to that mall.
Bucca specializes in familiar Italian fare that’s served family style. The portions can be ordered in two sizes. Small feeds 2 – 3 people and a large would feed 3 – 5. Even the appetizers are huge so order accordingly.
Bucca has some great apps including the florentine garlic bread which is my fav. Awesome fresh salads the Granny Smith apple salad is my fav. They also have great pasta pizza (served on huge tomato cans as the holding stand) parmigiana and deserts. They also feature a full bar. And IMO the cocktails are always on the strong side.
Service is attentive and friendly. Our server was very helpful in explaining the dining style and suggesting what’s good. We got our usual which is the florentine garlic bread, Granny Smith apple salad and penne ala vodka. All of which was pretty tasty considering this is a chain and the pasta was not at all over cooked. For my cocktail I went with a bucca Bella and for desert I picked the apple crustada which was to die for. It’s served with an almond topping and vanilla bean ice cream.
All in all it’s a fun place and food is pretty good for the price. So when shopping in this mall check this place out you will be glad.
