It was better under the old management! Before, it was really good Korean-Chinese food. The service was good too! Shout out to the owner who was also the waitress. She was funny and SASSY.

I went here a few times and I always order the mongolian beef and its been great. However, my last visit, there were different owners and the monogolian beef wasn’t good anymore. It lacked flavor. Orange chicken was much better but wasn’t great. I order the fried rice and it was very good, better than I expected. FYI: I went in with my siblings and there was a big table full of asian people that kept staring at me and my siblings. Not sure if they’re related to the owner of Tsing but just awkward.

Craving for Chinese food on our way to Vancouver, we found this place. Found out that it is under new management. Wow, they really have some authentic Chinese food and friendly staff here. We ordered salt & pepper tofu, Mongolian beef, Szechuan crispy chicken and westlake minced beef soup. Everything was just right. Didn’t expected it being this good since I came from San Francisco where it has better Chinese food than most other parts of the us.

Tsing Tao is a small and easily over-looked Korean-Chinese restaurant next to the all-popular Ka Won Korean Restaurant. I came here for lunch for the first time to look for some Jajang Myun and some Korean-Chinese style Sweet and Sour Pork. The menu was quite limited, but fortunately they have the two dishes that I was craving for. There weren’t any other customers but the food still came out quite slowly. It was not necessary a bad thing that I had to wait for the food, since it meant that the food was actually being cooked fresh as opposed to microwaved(always a concern when dining at a low traffic restaurant). The only waitress was quite friendly and served some kimchi, pickles and onions before the ordered dishes arrived. There was a small TV on the wall that blasted Korean pop video to keep the customers entertained. Finally, the two dishes arrived! The Jajang Myun was fresh and tasty, not the best and not the worst I have ever had. However, the Sweet and Sour Pork, was a big let-down. For $ 14, the restaurant decided to cut cost and fried pork scraps instead of actual pork pieces. Even though the portion was large, I couldn’t even tell that I was eating pork because all I could taste was sweet and sour sauce and fried flour. If I can’t find a better restaurant that serves Jajang Myun in the area, I might come back another time to order just the Jajan Myun for take-out. Otherwise, I don’t foresee myself ever coming back again.

First time here Sunday night with my son. Really close by my apartment. Had never been here yet even though living nearby for years. I went based on reviews here. REALLY nice. We had the Mandarin Beef and Sweet & Sour Pork. My son raved abotu how good it was too. Had to fight Chinese families with cute kids nearby for a table. They also had Chinese TV network going on the wall with subtitles except for when the news came on. Very interesting.

Okay. What do get when you make Chinese food Korean-style? Good food. I didn’t order so I was a little bit nervous and was starving. We had driven north from Seattle on Friday at 5 pm for THIS? But when the order came out it looked familiar and smelled good. We had Tangsuyuk and Ja Jang Myun. Tangsuyuk is basically sweet and sour pork but the sauce is not red or orange but clear. Ja Jang Myun is a little bit different. At first it looks like a bowl of… well it is dark brown. almost black on top of some white noodles. Stir it up and start eating. It was tasty. The noodles(I was told) are made fresh everyday. The dishes were reasonably priced. We had enough for the two of us with these two dishes with some of the Tangsuyuk left over for some .huh…left overs for the next day. If you have never had Korean-style Chinese food and you would like to try something different then head on over. If you really only like one American-style Chinese restaurant and no others then you should probably shouldn’t go.
