Great work! Such an outstanding company you have. You and your team have made so much possible in our yard, from removing the huge cedar tree, to making sure that the falling trees did not damage our shed or fences, to again removing the tree in front of our yard that was making everything so dirty. All the guys are very knowledgeable and never too busy to address my questions or comments. Really polite and accommodating and hard working as well. Everybody in the neighborhood is always saying what a nice yard we have to look at now. I always tell them I have only Dominant Tree Service to thank. I’m told prior to our arrival 2 years ago, the yard was not that pleasant to see, so now, everybody is enjoying what you all have done. Anyway, I look forward to our next project, whatever that might be, but my mind never stops. Again, thank you so much for everything you and your crew have done.

They’re fast, friendly, and competitively priced. What more could you want? The guy I spoked to (I think his name was Matt?) was also very knowledgeable about trees, tree health etc. Would definitely use them again!

I cannot say enough good things about this company and the amazing response and professionalism of the crew dispatched to our job. They were amazingly quick to respond, incredibly good at every aspect of what they did once on site and did it seemingly effortlessly, safely, with respect for our surrounding landscaping and property and with ultimate professionalism and courteousness.
The November 17^th wind storm snapped one of our 100 foot plus fir trees at the base the top came to rest against another fir only 15 feet away. The tree was leaning towards our neighbors house 20 feet away from the split trees base. Fearing it would fall on our neighbors house if the winds came up again we tried to get someone to come out to take it down. After calling a number of tree companies the only one to call back was Dominant. Within half an hour Dominant had an estimator on site and within an hour Matthew and his crew were on site.
It was absolutely amazing to watch this team secure the leaning tree before attempting the removal as it would have taken very little to make the tree fall onto our neighbors roof. After taking off the lateral branches and the top of the tree down to the tie off point what remained was a bare trunk about 75 feet in length. Matthew then made the fell cut at the base, the tree swung toward the tie off tree and from there Matthew made repeated cuts at the base while other two crew members lowered the trunk to the ground just enough to rest the base on the ground for the next cut.
With the trunk only 15 or so feet in length they lowered it to rest on its side at which point Matthew sectioned the final length into 16 — 20 inch pieces.
One final climb by Matthew to retrieve his tie line, he then pulled down his rappel line. They put all the branches and cuttings through the chipper, raked and blew clean every spot and were on their way to the next job.
With over two dozen firs, pines and cedar trees on our property, we will not hesitate to call on Dominant for all our future trimming or removal needs should they arise.
As a final note; this all took place at a time when so many of us in Washington were hit extremely hard by this wind storm. Many homes and some lives were lost as a result of this storm and our thoughts and prayers go out to all impacted. At times when we are all faced with such adversity it is more than comforting to know that there are those who can and do help those in need. Thank you for all you did and continue to do!!!

Took a while to get on their work schedule because they said they were swamped by the number of trees needing removal due to the summer drought. I called them the day before just to make sure they were coming since were a few months out from making the appointment. They did come, creating quite a spectacle since ours was a very large, old maple tree that they expertly cut down. They did a great
and safe job, cleaning everything up cleaner than when they came. Thanks, guys!

The quote we received was very reasonable and the information provided was good. We decided to accept their quote and they were able to squeeze our small job in that week. They even took care of some extra limbs that I had previously cut off another tree at no charge. Overall happy with the experience once we got past the bumpy start :)

I am a little reluctant to post yet another 5-​star review for Dominant Tree Service, because they are already so popular, it takes a while to get an appointment. Putting my selfishness aside, if there were a 6-​star rating, I would give it!
We hired them earlier in the summer to take down a dead tree and trim some dead branches, and were very impressed with the job and the cleanup. We decided to hire them again to take down a whole bunch of very high dead branches, but this time had to wait about three months for a job this large. Bottom line: it was well worth the wait! Another expert job, outstanding cleanup and our home is protected from the threat of all of those branches coming down during the upcoming winter.
I was very impressed with their safety measures. They used fall protection measures while up in the trees, along with good PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Safety First!
We have more trees that were planted too close to the house and too close together which will eventually need to be dealt with. You better believe we’ll be calling Dominant again!

They were excellent. From the scheduling to the service, very friendly and professional. It may take a day or two to get a call back, but they will call. And they will work with you to get the job done when you need it — or as soon as they can. They are busy, but I see why. Very reasonable pricing and excellent delivery. You won’t be disappointed.

Their services are excellent. Andy came and do the estimates, explains everything in great details. The crew (Matthew, Stewart, and Christian) arrived as scheduled. Fast, polite, efficient, and thoughtful. They are very friendly and professional, checking in with you while doing their work to make sure they meet your expectation. Will definitely use them again. Their price is also very reasonable. My neighbor hired another company, spent similar amount of money like we do but the result is a big different. Highly recommended.

Today Matthew and the crew came out to clean up my cherry blossom tree and to take up the branches on another large tree that was coming over the side of my roof. As always Matthew and his crew were quick, efficient and as polite as could be. My husband and I love having dominant tree service come out to work for us! They never disappoint, always go above and beyond! Our cherry blossom tree is looking better than ever and the large tree looks perfectly groomed. Year after year we will have dominant tree service come out to work for us!

Dominant recently completed a large tree removal/​trimming project and we couldn’t be happier. They came out promptly to look over the work and provided a reasonable price.
Although we had to wait awhile to get the work done (they were booked quite a ways out), Matthew arrived early on the scheduled day with a small crew and we went over the work to be done. They then went to work, quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
They did a beautiful job of trimming our Leylandi and Laurel hedges, did an immaculate job of cleaning up, and charged a fair price. We will definitely call Dominant again the next time we need any trees removed or hedges trimmed.

I am the Treasurer and manager of a Mukilteo Condo. Another association was scheduled for emergency work. We were called and asked if it was okay to accelerate our scheduled day and time. I was told tentatively 11 AM 2÷21÷15. Approx 8:45 AM, they arrived. Crew set up quickly and the trimmer was the 75 ft alder leaning against the eaves of our roof. He is freakin’ amazing! He understands physics and mechanical engineer. He is a strong and agile athlete! The 4 support guys were also impressive. Fast, organized, efficient and very, very good at what they do! Less than an hour an a half later, the only indication any tree had been there is a stump. They blew the roof clean as well as the gutters. The yard and patio below were cleaner than when they arrived.

Quick, efficient and didn’t leave any mess. Oh, and they also left and nicely stacked pile of firewood (per contract of course). Of two other contractors they were well priced.

I am an officer in a homeowner association in Everett, WA, We had the misfortune to have a rather tall tree from a neighbors yard fall onto one of the buildings in our neighborhood. I immediately started calling for tree services to get this big tree off of the building. One company, who shall remain nameless, told me $ 2200.00 in cash, $ 2800.00 if insurance is involved and could be here is a few days. two other tree other services did not return my calls another called me back telling me they were pretty busy and could not get out for a week or two just to look at the tree to evaluate the removal and perhaps another week or two after that to get in to perform the work, the last company I called just did not feel right to me, I felt like I was being conned into a «Deal» they could do for us real fast.
The folks at DOMINANT TREE SERVICE were quick to respond, they left me feeling that they truly cared about the issue and would do whatever humanly possible to get this addressed quickly. Their estimate was competitively priced, they were polite, professional and walked me through the steps to be done to remove the fallen tree from the building. In life, my experience is price is not an important issue than job quality and performance. I felt totally at ease and confident that DOMINANT TREE SERVICE would perform to the associations expectations.
I called and scheduled the work, thinking I would have to wait since a recent storm created a lot of fallen tree problems in our area.
I was pleasantly surprised that they could be out in a few days.
The crew was scheduled to arrive at a set time, they were early and waited so as not to disturb the residents In our association. We walked out the the fallen tree resting on the building, one side of the building was 3 stories tall, the other side two stories tall. The team leader, Matthew, explained again what they are going to do, introduced me to the crew and went to work.
MY OH MY!, They completed the work ahead of schedule, cleaned up the debris and helped me set up the broken fence, crushed under the fallen tree, as well as stacked the usable parts of the tree for the association membership to take as firewood.
I have to say that DOMINANT TREE SERVICE made this potential nightmare into a positive experience. I have done this kind of thing a few times before when I was a Insurance Claims Adjuster. In my opinion, they are simply the best.
I will wholeheartedly recommend DOMINANT TREE SERVICE to anyone who needs tree service. They are polite, professional, prompt, thorough and a pleasure to work with. you may find this kind of service for less money, I strongly urge you make the wise decision to choose DOMINANT TREE SERVICE.

FINAL REVIEW — It has been almost a week since Dominant came out to do the work and I am still not sure how to say how AWESOME they are. I mean, seriously, they wanted to come out and make it right. And they did, ten times over.
First — it was awesome to have Matt on site (vs. just some crew showing up to «do the job»). I felt completely comfortable to come out, ask questions and give direction on what I was looking for during the whole job. His team went above and beyond what I expected on the services (hacking away at some blackberry bushes abutting my property because it was climbing into my apple tree). But seriously, the kicker — they left my yard and drive-​way the cleanest I’ve seen it in months. :happy sigh:
It’s amazing to have a company truly care about what a customer thinks and feels about their work. And because that — if I need any tree work done, Dominant is the company I will call.

**UPDATE — They were very apologetic about the miscommunication on their side, and have since been to the house for review and bidding. I appreciate them taking the steps to remedy the situation. I think we will hire them to do the work, so another update to come!

I was hoping to get an estimate from this company after seeing their 5 star rating here on Unilocal.After talking with their receptionist/​scheduler on Monday, I was set to meet with Andy (I believe) on Tuesday between 12−2PM. I work maybe 10 minutes from my house and asked to be called when he was on his way, so I could meet him there.
Tuesday, 12 to 2 PM came and went without a single phone call. Understandably, things can come up, so I called around 3 PM to check in, or to see if maybe I heard date/​time incorrectly. No one picked up, so I left a message.
It is now Friday and I still haven’t heard from anyone.

We had a great experience with Matt and his crew. They were very professional and organized. The bid and paperwork process was exceptional compared to other contractors. The crew also worked well together and was very efficient.
One of the trees they cut down was leaning and very tall, they took it down section by section in between three houses and made it look easy. The branches were carefully removed. They also cut up and stacked the wood and left the work area very clean.
Lots of companies out there can cut trees, but these guys are significantly better than other companies in pruning and arbor related work. I was exceptionally happy with the 50 ft. maple, magnolia, and cedar trees that they pruned, shaped, and thinned out. These trees were much taller than our house and covered the front and backyard from the sun to the point where moss was growing instead of grass. Other contractors didn’t take the time to understand what my goals were during the bidding process. Both Andy (bidder) and Matt took the time to understand my needs, they shaped and trimmed the tree accordingly.
Before starting work, I got bids from 4 different companies and DTS was the most reasonable and really understood the scope of work. I would definitely recommend Dominant Tree Service and will use their services again.

This is an update on my previous review, posted below:
A day after I posted my review, I received a call from the owner apologizing for the poor initial customer service and asking to be given an opportunity to remedy the situation. I agreed, and Andy, their certified arborist came by shortly thereafter. He examined the stumps in question and proceeded to explain that in his professional opinion, they did not require removal. This advice was contrary to my normal experience with service providers as it was essentially cancelling off the job. I appreciated Andy’s integrity as well as his product knowledge. We had him advise us on a few other tree issues in our yard and he offered clear options for each, which we again appreciated.
We received a written quote with the options clearly articulated. An appointment was scheduled and the crew appeared right on time, ready to work. They performed their services expertly and with a positive and professional attitude that is often missing in their line of work. They worked within our window of time and cleaned up very well after the fact. The only evidence that they had been there at all was in the markedly improved appearance of the trees they pruned.
Excellent work all around, and a good recovery from their earlier stumble service-​wise. We will use them again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.
FIRST REVIEW:
Called and left a voice-​mail on Friday Sept 5 requesting a quote for stump removal. Did not receive a call back over the weekend, which is fair enough, but when I called back Monday morning, mail box was full. Bad bad customer service for this sort of business — if you can’t reach the company to book their service, how reliable can their service be. Business 101. Lost a customer for good.

I was on the look out for someone to come out and trim back/​thin out some of the giant cedar trees on my property. After calling a few people, I decided to go with Dominant Tree Services. They showed up AHEAD OF TIME both times they came out to the house (once for an estimate, once for the services), which blew my mind. They tackled the job and got it done in a matter of hours, all the while making sure they really thoughtfully pruned the trees.
My property was transformed and the real beauty of the trees is finally being highlighted. The final price was right around estimate, they did exactly what I wanted (and more!), and they cleaned up the tree mess so well you can’t even tell anyone was there. A+, Dominant Tree Service!
