OTTO Pizza

If you’re looking to try OTTO (and you really should), head to the Brookline location. This (Lynnfield Market) is essentially a take out location. Incredibly limited seating, a few communal tables/​window stools. No beer/​wine, just a soda machine. While they will make you full pies (in addition to serving by the slice), the place was noisy and not particularly inviting. Wish we had read reviews before traveling!

Good pizza, crust was thin with good flavor and sauce was sweet. Still looking to find a new pizza place to replace Portland Pie. I am not sure yet that Otto will be the one but I am glad that I gave it a try. We tried the spinach, white bean and garlic. We don’t do dairy and it would have probably been 4 stars with some cheese, but 22.47 $ with no cheese just wasn’t that amazing. Hoping they’ll add some non dairy cheese since it would have really helped this particular pizza. Staff at corporate was very nice when I contacted them to consider doing this.

Great pizza when it’s available… Was there a few weeks ago & wanted a slice of a certain kind they said they didn’t have anymore of. Got another kind and 5 mins later as I’m eating I see them
hand a lady 2 pieces of the pizza I wanted. Must have just come out of the oven but I think they should have more available on the shelf always, it’s a hit or miss if you are going there for a specific kind, not cool!

I went to a pizza party and was really excited to try this pizza. It’s was definitely better then I expected! I tried the pepperoni and the cheese and both were absolutely delicious with perfect amounts of cheese, sauce, and crunchy crust! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Five stars aren’t enough to rave about how amazing this place is. Not only is the pizza out of this world, the staff is super friendly. My husband, two year old son and I came in tonight on a Friday evening and ordered a small pizza. I asked to order a side of breadsticks, as my son is lactose intolerant. We usual bring extra food from home if we know we’re going someplace that is heavy on the cheese. The man who helped us told us that they don’t serve breadsticks and helped us find a solution that worked best for us. After a few minutes pondering, he offered to whip up a special order of breadsticks for my son on the house just to make our night out as a family a great one. I will always remember the generosity of the man who helped us today and will rave about this place to all my friends and family. We will be back for sure.

I love this place! Im not a huge fan of traditional pizza so OTTO is a great alternative! They have a ton of options some more «normal» than otheres but my absolute favorite is the bacon mashed potato pizza. The prices are a little high but it’s to be expected with gourmet pizza.

OTTO is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat while shopping at MarketStreet. They always have a nice selection of pizza by the slice ready to be warmed in the oven and served. I enjoyed the Mac & Cheese and bacon pizza, which actually had elbow noodles covering the pizza. It did taste like macaroni and cheese… on a pizza! They also had butternut squash and kale pizza, a pulled pork pizza and a four cheese pizza. All looked and sounded delicious. The pizza crust was thin and very crispy, perfection in my eyes. They serve craft type soda, and I enjoyed the cola– much better tasting than your brand name sodas. The interior has a few large tables where you can sit with others, and it’s a very casual atmosphere. I did notice many people were ordering full size pizzas. I would definitely consider ordering pizza from here for a home take-​out night. I will be back, likely during another shopping trip!

I stepped in for the first time a week or so ago. I was surprised at how small it was inside; I had been expected a decent sized place but there’s just a few tables inside and some outside (when it’s warm).
We split a gluten free pizza: no sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, onion, and roasted garlic.
I enjoyed it a lot, but I was getting hangry because the pizza took quite some time and it wasn’t even busy. I’d definitely come back. It’s a good choice for gluten free!

I’m not the biggest pizza fan but the few times I’ve been here, the pizza was so good.
I get the mash potatoes bacon and scallion Pizza and it’s so good! The employees are really nice too!

outstanding thin crust pies but a little pricey at 3.50 a slice, but very good. Stay far away from the Meatball plate! I could not believe how bad it was. The wife and I were both in shock that any establishment would sell something so unpleasant tasting

I was ecstatic to see an Otto right in Harvard Square; Otto is a necessity back home in Southern Maine! It was just as astoundingly delicious as it was in Portland, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I thank the heavens for the mashed potato pizza, seriously.

I won a contest for t-​shirt a design I created. Part of my prize were gift certificates for Otto. I had never heard of them before, So shout Otto, since the contest was a design for charitable causes! I enjoyed their pizza very much. I went with a party of 4, and we enjoyed ourselves at the patio seating. It was early fall weather, perfect for hoodies and pizza. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, I have been to a few of the top pizza spots on the east coast, and many more than that. I have made pizzas for a living, I understand how dough works and why/​how its just right for a perfect crust. I love pizza and I’m coming back to OTTO because they are a quality pie, and, they are philanthropically minded. More business’s like this need to be supported.

Great place good twist to pizza a variation of toppings to indulged your mouth. But they still have your occasional cheese and pepperoni slices, big slices so good size for the price. Great staff, place was very clean and organized everything seem to be made by hand in the back of the counter. Very awesome place to go to for a quick slice and hanging out inside or out.

I went tonight thinking the food would be good but I was very disappointed in the pizza. The crust cut the top of my mouth in several places, the sauce was bland and watery, and the cheese wasn’t spread properly over the pizza so a lot of parts were just sauce. For a large cheese pizza and two water bottles it was $ 18 I was so shocked that it was that expensive and that the food wasn’t good. I definitely won’t be going back.

How can you be happy and sad at the same time? Go to Otto’s and that question will be answered.
Happy: finally, a local pizzeria that’s not Greek or poor imitation Italian
Sad: the crust is almost a pastry crust, light and flaky
Happy: some really unusual I ngredirnts (white beans, pears, etc.)
Sad: all of the toppings aren’t distributed equally, sometimes you can actually count them
Happy: a large number of white pizzas
Sad: if you don’t order one of their specific combinations the toppings quickly add up and you need a mortgage refi to pay for it
Happy: they don’t bury the pie with sauce
Sad: the red sauce is sweet and flavorful, but it is very sparingly applied
Happy: they’re close by
Sad: they don’t deliver to Saugus
Overall, it’s a pizza that you either develop a taste for or you don’t. But if this is your cup of tea, the product is good. Be forewarned, though, prices add up quickly: one large cheese, one large margherita and two lemonades came to over $ 40! Yikes!

Lots of very unique combos, it’s been really fun to try different pies here. We have had the bacon, mashed potatoes and green onion & mushroom ricotta and both were great!
The crust here is amazing. Thin and crispy but not exactly flatbread. They have mostly white pizzas, not a lot of red sauce choices.
We live in Wakefield and were really pleasantly surprised that they delivered to us. Nice bonus!

My husband and I love Otto’s! No complaints. We have ordered several times and have even had it with friends who have all been pleased. It’s consistent and tasty!
We love the Otto 4 cheese and we especially LOVE the Vidalia and Sausage pizza… they actually use sliced Sausage… it’s not those little Sausage pellets that most places use.
The ingredients are fresh and they have some unique options for pizza as well… which is fun.

This was the second worst pizza I have ever had. I’m so disappointed. I expected so much more from this place. The pizza had NO flavor whatsoever.
I hate having to give this review. Pizza is usually always good, no matter how crappy it is. No. I won’t be eating it again. Sorry.

For some reason I had high expectations of a unique pizza experience (I.e flatbread’s or reasonable facsimile). What we got was fairly oily, ordinary pizza. What was not ordinary was the air conditioner basting on a rainy day when it was 59 degrees out, really loud machines (ventilation) drowning out the music, and a view of bathroom supplies that are proudly displayed in the front window. You can skip this and eat anywhere else in this mall unless you have a real hankering for mediocre pizza.

Having eaten at the Portland, ME flagship and the Harvard Square many times, I was pleased to see OTTO as the ‘za option at Lynnfield Marketplace. Like the Harv. Sq, seating is limited but the array of slice choices arent. We came on a busy Sunday and had a wide selection– ended up settling with Mash potato and herb, meatball basil, chilli flake chicken porcini and plain olé’ cheese for the kiddos.
The pizza was great– 4 out of 5 stars: thin and crispy, nice flavor balance on the ingredients. What earned this location the 5^th star was the unbelievably cool staff.
We’d asked that our slices be sliced in half to make them shareable, and one slice was very slightly mangled, and they gave us a complimentary slice as replacement. I then went to add a soda onto the order (they have Puck’s all natural soda which is the greatest ever) and the guy refused to let me pay– «red carpet treatment today, bud» Just the kind of thing that gives you a feeling that you want to support this business. (I of course dropped the soda cash + some into the tip jar)
Great experience, and good value as well — a $ 3.50 slice is the size of two slices, and has the flavor of 4. Riddle me that…
I’d recommend having them split the slices so that you and your friends could sample a variety. 3 slices and two drinks will run you about $ 14 bucks and is an ample lunch for 2.

It didn’t take long for Otto’s located in Market St. to become a friday night staple for us. The pizza here is simple yet elevated and creative; executed well and consistently delicious. There’s something for everyone and something creative you’re going to want to try. The crust is thin and crispy, the toppings/​combinations range from sweet and savory to savory, to standard, and others in between. The staff are friendly and professional, and their timing has been spot on.
If you’re in the mood for a pie, then this just might be the place for you. Take a gamble and try something new, I bet you won’t be disappointed!

If you like traditional pizza with normal amounts of tomato sauce this might not be the place for you. They specialize in white pizzas and only offer a handful with tomato sauce, which really means a few squirts of red sauce on a basically white pie.
They have about 8 rotating pizzas at the shop where you can order slices from, or they will make you a whole pie if you’re willing to wait. The pizza is tasty, but just a bit different from what you’d normally expect.
They do offer gluten free crust and it’s one of the better crusts according to my wife, though she too was a bit disappointed in the sauce situation.

Stopped in here after our wedding day and before dropping our Best Man off at the airport. Who would not want to stop at such a nice shopping center?
We were really craving pizza and OTTO had such nice smells emanating from the inside, so we really had to give it a try. The guys had a cheese and olive pizza and I went for a more substantial slice with lots of veggies and meats – I wish I remember the name. Though that slice was good, it did leave a je né sais quoi to be desired. However, when I took a bite of the guy’s nicely thin crust, super plain and simple cheese and olive pizza I was in pizza heaven. Next time OTTO and I meet, it will be on simpler terms.
They even have cannolis and some other desserts there. We actually tried a cannoli there and it was quite tasty.
The employees were really nice and overall, I think I would definitely come here again to try a different pizza.
