Specialties
Rising above the village of Ludlow, in south-central Vermont, Okemo Mountain Resort is a four-season playground that built its reputation for quality and superior guest service as a winter retreat for skiers and snowboarders. Skiing Vermont terrain at Okemo is quite the treat as its winter operations consistently receive accolades and win awards for snow quality, grooming, terrain parks, family programs, slopeside lodging, resort dining and its friendly, professional staff.
In the summertime, polish up the clubs, break in the hiking boots and inflate the bike tires. All around us, the warm Vermont countryside offers a whole new list of activities to enjoy, places to explore, and challenges to meet. Our Adventure Zone offers Vermont’s first alpine coaster, bungee jumping, 18-holes of miniature golf, Zipline Tours, Segway PT Tours, 18-holes of Disc Golf, Amp Energy Big Air Bag and a Challenge Course!
History
Established in 1957.
Originally a small community-run ski hill, Okemo began to blossom when, in 1982, Tim and Diane Mueller purchased the Vermont ski area and transformed it into a popular, world-class resort destination.
Meet the Manager
The Muellers O.
Manager
In 1982 Tim and Diane Mueller were looking for something in the tourism/recreation industry — possibly a lodge or inn. When they realized the potential of Okemo, the Muellers purchased the ski resort that they saw as a diamond in the rough. Their immediate focus after the purchase was to focus on offering impeccable service — something for which Okemo has become renowned.
