The employee managing the store was a bad combination of unpleasant and incompetent. He lazed around trying to attend to four different customers at once as though he was stoned, making everyone wait an unnecessarily long time. I realized before I got on the chair lift that he had given me a ski with a broken brake and that the other one had the binding incorrectly placed so that I couldn’t get the boot in it. However, when I took them back he was combative and suggested that maybe I’d broken the break. After an unpleasant argument I got the skis refunded. Apart from everything else, this place is a bit overpriced. I won’t be going back.

Stopped in to pick up a new snowboard, bindings and boots for my six year old. The staff was very help and knowledgable, they answered all of our questions to make sure we got the right set up.

The guys are always helpful and courteous. The selection is great. My riders love going to dark side. They also do a great job tuning my son’s board for each of his competitions. Quick and helpful

i’m a fairly new snowboarder. gotten most of my gear here. like the staff — helpful, knowledgeable, sense of humor. also enjoy the atmosphere of the store: punk, alternative — seems true to the general snowboarding counter-culture. i’ll keep coming back when i’m in the area.

Fairly large store with a knowledgeable and helpful staff. I got some Rome bindings that were defective and despite using them several times, the store took them back and gave me a full refund. I’ve made a few purchases there on separate occasions. Not enough experience with them yet to give 5 stars but they have my confidence to shop or ask advice again.

These guys were great! Brought my son and his new board to get new bindings since the ones I bought in Boston were too small. First they tried to save me from spending more money by telling me the bindings would work and even adjusted them which was so nice considering I didn’t buy the board there. I ended up buying new larger bindings that my son can use that will last for an extra few years and he cut me a nice break on the price unsolicited. I would have given them 5 stars if he didn’t pull out the old«these are the same bindings I use» comment which always kills me. But the guys and girls working there all ride hard and are totally knowledgable. They are very laid back which I liked just like a good snowboard shop should be. The one in killington was always good to me in my early snowboarding days too!

This Darkside shop is located in the Okemo Market Place. You may not notice it, but it is located all the way at the north end of the shopping complex. This shop is probably the smallest of the three Darkside snowboard shops. Because of that, it also has the smallest inventory, with the majority of the gear here now mostly Burton and its subsidiaries(Four Square, Special Blend, Forum, R.E.D., etc.). You may notice a couple other honorable mentions such as Rome bindings but for a larger inventory and variety of gear, I would venture to the Darkside shop at Killington or Stowe. All the employees are riders who work at the shop and have a wealth of knowledge, so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. This shop is probably the most informal of the three, with the coworkers mostly kickin’ back and relaxing, playing on a balance board, or just goofing around.
