History

Established in 2012.

Established in August 2012, Xplosive Rhythms Dance & Fitness is the 3^rd dance studio opened by Gabe Scott. Estudio de danza Cuicoyan in Mexico City was opened in 1998, Simmonds Performing Arts in Jeffersonville, IN was opened in 1951 and has been managed by Gabe and his wife Alicia since 2005.

The best of two worlds, dance instruction and primary group exercise classes, collide on the same dance floor to bring you the most exhilarating times as you party yourself into shape. We are here for you and no one else.

Business Owner

Born in Mazatlan-​Mexico, Gabe began his formal dance training with the Mexican School of Ballroom Dance at the age of 15 acquiring the title of principal dancer in only two years. Tirelessly, he worked his way into many important dance companies such as Latin Tango (Argentine Tango), Traditions & Expressions from Argentina (Malambo), Mexican Folkloric Ballet (Mexican Folk Dance), Cuicoyan School of Dance (Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater), among others. Most of his Salsa training was with the MSBD; however, he has taken lessons from the best of the best including Eddie Torres and Victor & Gaby as well as several workshops in San Diego, Las Vegas, Chicago, and L.A. In 2002 he moved to New York City to further his Salsa training and was invited to be part of Salsa Magic Dance Co. In 2011, Gabe formed Mi Salsa es su Salsa Dance Co. and is considered the best Salsa, Tango, and Zumba instructor in Louisville. Gabe is a Registered Nurse with AFAA, CPR, AED, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
