While visiting family for the holidays I wanted to find a neighborhood yoga studio to keep up my practice. I discovered PM Yoga within walking distance of where I was staying and I couldn’t be more pleased! I took 2 classes a week for four weeks and I credit the wonderful teachers at this studio for helping me keep my sanity during the holiday madness. :-) Tonya, who owns the studio, is an extremely knowledgeable teacher. As a former yoga teacher myself, I can really appreciate that she keeps up her own continuing yoga education so that she can be the best possible teacher for her students. I also attended classes taught by Marjorie and Jenn and loved them both. All three teachers diffuse high quality essential oils during class, which enhanced the overall experience and left me very relaxed as well as energized. Another thing I really liked about all classes was that as there were many levels of students in each class, the teachers accommodated everyone by offering several suggestions for modifications in some of the poses. On the nights I felt a little tired, I felt comfortable toning down my practice with some gentle modifications, and on the nights I felt more energized, I was always shown more challenging ways to do poses. They are adding some more classes in 2016, including one on Friday evening and another on Sunday evening. I can’t say enough good things about this studio. If you are in or near Middletown, you should definitely go. Your first class is free! A little tip – when you are totally wowed by them after your first class and decide to go in for your second class, you might want to pay with check or cash. They accept debit and credit card payments, but at this time, they have to enter in all the cc information, billing address, etc. by hand and it takes a while. I felt bad asking them to do that and I went ahead and got a multiple class card. :-)
