Louisville Salt Cave

Wow, what an experience. If you want something you’ve never done before, snag a session at the Salt Cave.
Apparently there’s a load of health benefits from Pink Himalayan salt … whether it’s ingested or breathed in. I’ve done a good amount of research and after experiencing some sinus trouble, I booked my first session. My husband came too! We kicked off our shoes and walked into the cave, feeling the loose salt under our feet. We sat in a reclining chair, covered up and spent the next 45min breathing in the air, checking out the beautiful lighting and atmosphere, and going in and out of naps. I felt a little light headed in the beginning but that shortly passed.
Afterwards, I knew I had to book another session and this time I was taking my mom and aunt. Needless to say, they LOVED it and even purchased a salt lamp and some jewelry. I can’t wait to go again … It’s so good for relaxation! They only book 6 at a time, so make sure you book in advance if taking a crowd with you. Each session is $ 35 and you can buy a 4 session package for $ 100 (which is what I did) and you save $ 10/​session. Woohoo!

What a magical experience! The owners are knowledgable and warm and the salt cave is gorgeous. More than beautiful, this man made masterpiece is a therapeutic gold mine. (Or should I say salt mine?) Halotherapy has multiple benefits for the respiratory system, skin, and allergies. The guided meditation and soft music while wrapped up like a new born baby (or fresh made burrito) soothed my soul. I adore the twinkling lights and good vibes. It was the perfect midday pick me up. Nourishing for physical and emotional health. I can’t wait to bring my mom and sisters.

I had a great experience at Kid’s Play today. It was a challenge making a 10am class with 2 boys (6&7) but it made to a great start to our Saturday. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved this place. Let me start by saying I accidentally stumbled upon this place while in Louisville when I did a search for «caves» (they have a few of those tours in the area of actual underground caves).
They had me at the pictures! I wasn’t sure what to expect but decided to give it a try. Let me say, it was soooooo relaxing that I wish I had hours in that room. The floor is full of himalayan salt pebbles that feel amazing on the body. It smelled great and was the perfect temperature. I enjoyed the relaxing music. I had two other ladies in the room with me, and they were so nice. We remained quiet through out the session, but no one minded any movement inside.
I laid my blanket down and ended up lying on the floor! It was just amazing. I left feeling refreshed and so calm. Days later the calmness still lingered. I really would love to do this again.
Would like to add that the staff was very friendly and the place is very clean. If I am ever in Louisville again I will definitely visit again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great time! I really enjoyed myself! I feel sooo much more relaxed now!!! Highly recommend for anyone into relaxation and meditation!

Always willing to try something new we went to the salt cave today after reading the insider Louisville article that got everyone else in Lou excited. The atmosphere is similar to a spa when you walk in. If you don’t want to have to wear their booties I suggest you wear socks, as no shoes are allowed and neither are bare feet. They give you a 5 min intro after you are settled. Will say that seemed rushed– she spoke very fast. There are six antigravity chairs in the room, temp is cool — I recommend 2 blankets (they provide)
I went in with a hangover headache and came out feeling good, no headache. Wasn’t willing to commit to a package but waiting to see how I feel the rest of the day. Overall good experience. neat concept. Good service.

What an amazing place! The entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The owner was very friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the products. Then there’s the actual Salt Cave! Beautiful. Breathtaking. It’ll actually leave you speechless the first time you set foot inside. It was truly the most relaxing 45 minutes of my life. I’ll be back for weekly sessions.
