We worked for many years with Edward Disho with another property management company and pleased when he moved to Preferred he kept using De Anza Appliance as a vendor partner. He provides clear, succinct work orders and is incredibly responsive to estimate approval. If you’re a tenant your maintenance requests will be handled in a timely, professional manner as an owner know that Edward has the best interest of your properties longevity in mind.

I lived in the Santana Park apartments for nearly 4 years. Proceed with caution. Before you sign a contract, walk around and talk to the people living on the property. Get a sense of what their experience has been like. The property manager(Edward Disho) is curt, unresponsive and argued any/all repair requests(he once made me write out a very descriptive outline of which washer/dryer worked and at what frequency #ThatsYourJob). The homeless visit quite frequently(whether it’s camping near/inside the property or collecting garbage from the trash bins). Property manager will tell you it’s not their problem and then dismiss sleeping bags hanging over the fences. Finally decided to write this Unilocal review, because I found out that the property manager(Edward Disho) started to remodel my unit during my notice period(I paid rent, but moved out 2 weeks early). Property manager denied my request for prorated rent, even though I have pictures and witnesses to prove otherwise. Update 10÷9÷2015: Called Preferred Community Management on 10÷9÷2015, to get a status on my deposit. Deposit was mailed out on day 22 and notification date was 9÷18÷2015(moved out on 9÷12÷2015). Under California law, 21 calendar days or less after you move, your landlord must either: — Send you a full refund of your security deposit, or — Mail or personally deliver to you an itemized statement that lists the amounts of any deductions from your security deposit and the reasons for the deductions, together with a refund of any amounts not deducted.218 Glad the check was finally mailed, but just goes to show how petty Edward will be if you post a Unilocal review.

I have had the pleasure of working with Edward Disho for almost 9 years now. Edward is a great guy to work with, extremely easy going and very responsive. I always hear back in a timely manner. I know if there is an issue, it will be taken care of almost immediately. Edward is both professional and trustworthy. I would not trust my house hunting needs to anyone else. If I ever need to relocate, Edward Disho will be the one I call. I highly recommend you work with Edward on any of your rental needs!

Edward Disho helped me rent a nice 1BD/1BA apartment in Santa Clara. I really enjoyed my stay in Santa Clara for one year. Edward is really helpful and the apartments are in a good shape. Any maintenance requests are completed within a day. I would strongly recommend getting in touch with Edward and working with him.

I had a great experience working with Edward Disho over the last three years from start to finish. He was consistent in addressing the needs of our rental property in a timely manner and with professionalism. Any concern or request was acknowledged promptly and dealt with fairly. Although my rent was increased each year due to market forces, I knew our building would be well cared for. It should also be reassuring to know that security deposits are refunded in full with the proper amount of cleaning and attention to detail by the tenant. I have no doubt that Edward’s future tenants will be pleased with their experience as well.

I worked with Edward Disho while my family was renting a condo in San Jose for about 2 years. Edward is one of the most professional, fair, and responsive real estate /property professionals that i have worked with in the past decade or so. I would be happy to work with him again in the future.

This company managed the property we were living in. When we moved in one of the screen doors was full of holes, we asked if it could be replaced. «Sure», they said. It took them three months to finally replace the screen door. In addition, we started noticing mold in a couple of spots around the unit and informed the company. Repeated calls and emails on the subject were ignored. We were happy to leave soon after our one year lease was up.

I do not recommend anyone renting an apartment from this company. I lived with my exgirlfriend in one of their properties that they managed. We broke up and I left the apartment. My name wasn’t on the lease and they still sued me. There is no judgement against me in the court and they don’t have any records that I own them money. I kindly called to ask them to write the court that there is nothing against me. The manager responded in a very unprofessional rude manner and said«well we don’t know for fact that there is nothing against you and we wont write a letter to court to help you clear your record off the courts records in order to buy a house». What a horrible inhumane company is this that doesn’t want to help the tenants to buy a house. I don’t recommend this place at all. My current manager is helping me save some money by keeping the rent low so I can buy a house. This company is horrible. My lawyer is going to deal with them.
