I was really hoping for a 5 star experience like all the other Unilocalers, but I wasn’t very impressed. First and foremost… Expensive! Apparently Dr. Trent is out of network for our insurance and I was charged triple what is «reasonably expected and customary» according to insurance. I feel I was waaay overcharged for 1.5 fillings (couple hundred dollars WITH my insurance paying 80% of what is «reasonable & customary»).
My overall experience at this office was probably a four star, but the billing was unexpected so three stars all around. The cleaning and exam were a bit rough for my liking, but I do have to say it was probably one of the most thorough hygienists I’ve ever had clean my teeth. The filling I had replaced was relatively quick and went well. I did feel that Dr. Trent didn’t really thoroughly explain things, unless you specifically ask the right questions.
There are TV’s in each room, but I was not offered to watch anything while having work done. The office is very nice, and conveniently located right next to a Starbucks, with underground parking, and quick access to Hwy 85. The front office staff was very friendly; hygienists weren’t overly friendly.
I probably would return to this office if they were in network, but there are several other 5 star dentists in the area that take our insurance so I’ll try another office.

I am a new patient and I couldn’t be happier with my service from the doctor. I had some bad dental work from a dentist in Santa Cruz including multiple root canals. Needed two replacements of my crown, in less than 8 months. I’ll take the drive to come here anyway. Just wish I had found him sooner. He’s fantastic and I’m finally at ease about my future dental work.
He spent the time explaining what I needed and was very comforting. Do yourself a huge favor and come here!

Recently became a new patient and I am so happy I switched from my previous dentist. Dr Trent’s team is efficient and effective in so many ways.
The office is very clean, new and beautiful. Aesthetics aside, the professional staff (from the front desk to the hygienist) is fast, friendly and helpful. They are respectful of your schedule and keep things moving which is incredible!!!
Dr Trent is down to earth and keeps solutions to problems reasonable. My last dentist was trying to talk me into jaw surgery, Dr Trent thought an updated mouth guard would do the trick. He was totally correct.
My hubby was having pain in one of his teeth and Dr Trent recommended he lay off the acid (lemon in water, coffee, etc). Fixed the problem in 3 days.
It’s these effective and efficient solutions that really set Dr Trent apart.

Dr. Trent is is the best dentist that I have had since I was 22, and that’s not the laughing gas talking. I don’t trust dentists as a rule, and each time I pick a new one, I research them like its my new full-​time job. And this dentist payed off. He’s HONEST, good at his craft and is repairing the bullshit fillings that a crooked dentist filled from my youth. He cares about dentistry and while he might charge a bit more for procedures, it’s because he’s only doing them when they are ACTUALLY NEEDED. Take it from someone that is a dentist phobe-​this office is a safe haven!

I too have to add to the 5 star reviews. It has taken Dr Trent a while, but 30 years of British dentistry is now behind me and I have a set of straight pearly whites.

Dr. Trent is a great dentist. I’ve been going there since 2005 and he is by far one of the best. He did my veneers on my front teeth and they are beautiful! He is competent and friendly and I believe he truly cares about his patients. If you have dental work done, he is gentle with the needle. His staff is nice too, they are fun and seem to be a great team. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr Trent is truly one of the best dentist I have ever been to. The office is equipped with high tech equipment, tv for patients while a procedure gets done for their ease, excellent customer service by everyone that works there. I get severe anxiety at dentists. Dr Trent and his staff were able to put my fears to rest with their superb customer service and understanding. Dr. Trent explained everything step by step, and the procedure was done with hardly any pain. This is definitely the dentist I would come back to for future services!

I love Dr. Trent and all of his staff is fabulous. They are very flexible, super friendly, and FAST! Dr. Trent always puts me at ease with his «bedside manner» and I’ve already taken my 2-​year-​old to the dentist with me a couple times and they just welcome him with open arms. It’ll be his turn in the «hot seat» soon and they’ve always encouraged me to bring him so he can get used to everything so he will look forward to going to the dentist.
His office is beautiful and well-​equipped with all state-​of-​the-​art gear and amenities, including TVs and headphones in every treatment room.
Most impressed with the quality, efficiency, and friendliness of everyone at this office. So glad I found Dr. Trent!

Dr Trent and his team are superb. The service on anything from cleanings to crown replacement has been outstanding with professionalism levels better than many other dentists. The staff is helpful, friendly and focused ensuring you are attended to promptly while being made comfortable and relaxed for any procedure. The facilities are new, well maintained and the office is in a great location for the area. Highly recommend.

Love this dentist. Very nice, not pushy and top notch technology. My mom recomended them to me, and I in turn recommended them to a co-​worker. You do not feel like a number, or a cattle call. Setting is great, with free bottled water in the waiting room. The hygenist answered and explained a question I had had for years, that nobody else could help me with. Needless to say it comforted me, and I felt so good leaving. Love this place!

Dr. Trent is the best… he and his staff are always friendly and caring. Keeping you COMFORTABLE is high their list.

Prior to finding Dr. Trent, I had some — let’s just say — less than positive experiences with dentists. I knew I had to find a new dentist, but it was not something I looked forward to. I heard about Dr. Trent when I did the San Jose Intl triathlon, and there was a toothbrush with his office information in the goody bag. (He also has posted some awesome times in local triathlons!)
Five years and many visits later, I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Trent and his office staff. They are all friendly and professional, and what I have found that is different from other dentists I have been to is that they don’t try to manipulate you into having treatments performed by playing on your insecurities. Other dentists I have seen try and make it sound like you’ve never brushed your teeth in your whole life, and you’d better do what they say or you’ll be in dentures in 2 years. Dr. Trent and his staff are straightforward without being judgemental, so you can make the decisions for your teeth based on the facts.
The cleanings I have had with Mary Kay are easy and quick. They are always on time with appointments. The procedures I have had with Dr. Trent are also only minimally uncomfortable (really as good as you can expect) and you can listen to music or watch TV to distract you if you want. Their office is new and very nice. Plus they are all just really nice.

I’ve been going here for many years now (general dentistry) and have been a very satisfied patient.
Like any other dentist or health care professional, and many successful practices, there are times when the Evil Empire (health insurance companies) really erodes the 1:1 interaction and face time between doctor and patient. This is a for-​profit industry after all. That said, I feel that Dr. Trent does a good job mitigating that pressure, relative to his competition.
