Dr. Swanson and his team are awesome. I decided to get braces at age 50 (female) and my treatment was 23 months. Dr. Swanson’s office is state-​of-​the-​art and applies the latest technologies and solutions for orthodontics. He and his staff are super friendly and informative. I’ve never had to wait in the lobby more than 1 – 2 minutes for an appointment and was usually in and out in about 30 minutes. I must say I will miss going there now that my braces are off and I have a beautiful smile (as of a few weeks ago!) Most of all I will miss their groovy 80’s music which they have on in the background. The staff and I had some good laughs over that music. I highly recommend Dr. S. and his team!

Dr. Swanson & his team are the best! Not only is he a brilliant doctor, his team of amazing employees makes the process a really good one. Doctor Swanson and his staff definitely sets the bar high when it comes to their profession! Not only do they offer the best and latest orthodontic options out there, they are also top notch when it comes to customer service.
My initial visit was a consultation for corrective solution. I had braces over 10 years ago but stopped wearing my retainers resulting in the movement of my teeth. The doctor offered a couple of solutions. After 6 months, the braces came off and I am ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED with the results. During the course of my visits Doctor Swanson and his staff explained each visit/​treatment in detail so I always knew what was happening and what to expect.
Their office is spotless all the time making me that much more confident that I was getting the best (and cleanest) treatment.
I would highly recommend Dr. Swanson to anyone looking for an Orthodontist!

My 10 year old son just finished his orthodontic treatment. Dr. Swanson and his entire staff were amazing to work with during the entire process. Broken wires happen and they are not always during regular office hours. On at least two separate occasions, the staff would stay late or Dr. Swanson would come in on his day off to take care of my son’s issue. That’s the type of patient care that separates a good orthodontic office from a great one. I will be back with my younger son soon.

My 10 years old son just finished his orthodontic treatment this month. We had a free consultation in Nov 2014 and started to have a treatment in Jan 2015. He has been treated for 9 months and now he has a retainer to keep his teeth straight. That was super fast result more than we all expected since he has under-​bite.
Before we decided Dr. Swanson, we visited several orthodontics which my friends recommended. I am sure you all do the same shopping like us. There are many reasons we chose Dr Swanson among others.
First, Dr. Swanson is very professional, highly educated, humorous, and friendly with kids. He always tried to communicate with and explained to my boy to understand and feel comfortable. Also, I think Dr Swanson has the latest and advanced technology in his business.
Second, the price was very reasonable and clear compare to other orthodontics. As you know the orthodontic treatment cannot be cheap, but there is always the best choice in the market. I think we had the best price with best result compare to my friends who are doing orthodontic treatments for longer time.
Third, I love this office because it is close to my house. Since I have busy schedule with kids everyday, I prefer to drive somewhere close and local. We live in Los Gatos and I was looking for somewhere either Los Gatos or Saratoga area. It’s very convenient place to drive and park.
Forth, my boys to love to go to office to nibble the best cookies there. they have the best mini-​cookies I have never had.
We are very happy with my son’s smile.

First and foremost the receptionists are so friendly and very welcoming. My 2 sons had their first consultation, first we were taken on a tour of the facility by Amy, she is so nice, funny and very informative. The doctor came in and was so down to earth, engaging with the kids and has a great sense of humor. He recognized them from the same school his kids attend. He proceeded with the check up and recommend that our eldest son gets started right away and our youngest wait around 6months and come back for another check up, to see if he evens needs braces. Dr. Swanson is a very honest person and I would and will recommend his service to others so they to can benefit from my experience. Thank you so much!

We have the highest praise for Dr. Swanson and his staff. Our 9 year old daughter
needed an expander and will eventually need braces. Dr. Swanson’s staff was exceedingly kind and careful with communication to put our young daughter at ease.
Quin is an assistant and she was continually helpful and upbeat with our daughter. The entire
staff explained every procedure in great detail and guided us through each step.
Dr. Swanson also provided an excellent reference for us when we moved to Arizona. If you are considering an orthodontist in Los Gatos Dr. Swanson is as good as you can can get!!!

I’ve had a great experience working with Dr. Swanson and his office on my treatment. The staff is friendly, polite and helpful. Dr. Swanson is professional, competent, and engaging. I’m always in and out quickly with little to no waiting. I was skeptical a few times mid treatment that everything would work out, but now that I’m done with the correction, I’m so happy with the results. They have a clean, modern office. It’s also the little touches that make it really special, like getting a friendly post card in the mail a few days after an appointment wishing me well on an upcoming trip that I’d chatted with them about. All around couldn’t have asked for a better experience and you can’t go wrong picking Dr. Swanson for your orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Swanson is funny and keeps his patients entertained while they are receiving treatments. He is kind and gets to know the kids’ interests so he can connect with them. When we first went to see him, I was expecting him to tell me that both kids needed braces right away. But he gave a reasonable response and recommended that one begin work, while we observe the other’s progress. My son has yet to begin his treatment. The fact that he didn’t force treatment on both kids made me feel as though he’s truly looking out for my kids’ orthodontic needs (and not the practice’s!)
When my daughter got her braces on they called that afternoon to check to see how she was doing. Since then they’ve sent postcards to check in with her. In fact, the week of the Superbowl, they sent a post card that said, «Good luck to the Patriots! We know you’re rooting for them!» Their customer service is excellent!
Also, the facility is new and clean. They have video games in the lobby for kids to use while they wait. In addition, there’s always a trivia game going on one TV screen, which is fun for the family to play together. Both options entertain my son as well, while my daughter gets her treatments!
My one complaint is that the front desk people don’t always know how to schedule you for your next appointment. Maybe there is a lack of communication from the technician’s to the receptionist, or maybe the receptionists are still learning how many weeks between treatments, but it takes a while to make the next appointment at times… Just something they could streamline. But in reality, waiting an extra 2 – 3 minutes while the receptionist checks, isn’t really a big deal!!!
Overall, love the doctor. Love the technicians. Love the friendliness and welcoming nature of the practice! We’re lucky to have found Dr. Swanson and his team!

I recently went in and had a consultation for invisilign, and really was impressed with the whole staff. Dr. Swanson was extremely nice and explained things clearly. Regarding how to pay they had several options based on what you could afford. They were over all very accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately I moved out of the area before I could get started but I wanted to write a nice review because they deserved it. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

Dr. Swanson is a great communicator. Not only does he have a great sense of humor that my kids love he explains treatment very well to my children and myself. I appreciate that he engages the children directly. This really puts them at ease and gives them confidence to ask their own questions.
His office staff is great! The are very accommodating when making appointments and we have never had to wait more than 5 minutes.

We consulted Dr. Swanson about our son’s lower molar that is erupting nearly horizontal. Our wish was to take whatever measure to upright it and save that tooth. Upon reviewing x-​rays and photos, Dr. Swanson gave us comprehensive treatment options and recommended a precise course of action. Unlike other orthodontists who seemed more interested in getting new patients, Dr. Swanson was most concerned with what is BEST for my son. He patiently spent the time to clearly answer all of our questions — he was methodical and covered the pros and cons of each option. We really appreciated his sincerity and his willingness to help us. He reminds me of those rare breed of doctors who volunteers their time and resources to carry out the hippocratic oath.

I have a very high standard when it comes to selecting someone to provide a service for my family and myself. With that said, if you are looking for an Orthodontist who is very well educated, honest, has incredibly fair prices and an outstanding staff, then look no further than Dr Erik Swanson.
No hassle ever when making appointments, or rescheduling when something came up on my end. I was always greeted with the upmost respect when arriving into the office, which is conveniently located on Los Gatos Blvd across the street from the old Chevy Dealership.
Dr. Swanson reached out to me personally after a few of my visits to ensure I was comfortable and not having any issues with my hardware. This kind of professionalism goes along way with me and I appreciated all of his communication during my treatment.
In the beginning, when planning for treatment options we anticipated 18 months, but we ended up ahead of schedule and finishing in under 15. The end result was nothing shy of excellent.
Please consider Dr. Swanson for you or your children. You will not be disappointed.

My 13 year old son’s dentist recommended we see an orthodontist for an evaluation. My son still had at least 12 baby teeth, so I feared we would be pushed into braces before I believed he needed them. We had consultations with several different orthodontists, prior to our free consultation with Dr. Swanson. Much to my surprise, Dr. Swanson recommended not doing anything at that point. He thought we should wait for more baby teeth to fall out and re-​evaluate him every 6 months. He was saying exactly what my gut was telling me and he showed me that he was looking out for my son’s best interest, not how much money he could get from us
A little over a year later, my son needed some help with a couple of his teeth, so we went back to Dr. Swanson. We were impressed with his reasonable fees, high tech equipment, and very fun and friendly office environment. They always have fresh chocolate chip cookies and monthly contests, as well as video games and trivia in the waiting room. They also surprise the patients with special treats, like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, after painful procedures, or Jamba Juice gift cards, when they need to be on soft foods.
Dr. Swanson is very knowledgeable, highly educated, and has access to all of the latest digital and state-​of-​the-​art equipment. His office is modern and beautiful and his staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. Dr. Swanson is also very easy to talk with and involves us in every step of his treatment. My son is very shy, but Dr. Swanson makes him feel very comfortable and even makes him smile. I love that Dr. Swanson sees him as an individual and understands the concerns teenagers have.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Swanson to anyone looking for high quality orthodontics. We met several orthodontists, but I firmly believe Dr. Swanson is the best in the area.

We love Dr. Swanson. My daughter has had teeth issues since her adult teeth started coming in; small jaw, big teeth. At 6, her dentist recommended seeing an orthodontist to have her teeth evaluated for braces. We went to several orthodontists for consultations in the area. Dr. Swanson ended up being the one we picked. His evaluation, explantion of what needs to be done and explantion of costs made the whole process so easy. Not to mention he came in much cheaper, then others orthodontists.
Maria, who runs his office is one of the best in the business. She knows everyone by name and even has fresh baked cookies when you come in. Yummy.
Our daughter is now 7, she is having her jaw expanded and braces on her lower teeth. It has been six months since we started treatment and we have already seen our beautiful girl get a more beautiful smile.

Let me start by saying… THIS GUY IS THE BEST! I was introduced to Dr. Swanson after my son received an injury in football and eventually lost a tooth. We had several options: a retainer with a denture, braces, etc. I will start this by saying, I thought «here we go… braces time!», especially since another orthodontist had tried to sell us on braces for him in the past. We made an appt with Dr. Swanson’s office and when I saw the beautiful facility and his credentials I was impressed, indeed! Harvard and UCSF, but I thought $$$, right?! I couldn’t have been more wrong!
Who I met was a phenomenal doctor who my teenager immediately related to and who was not after my pocket book! He really is passionate about treating his patients! How refreshing! His bedside manner, knowledge and down-​to-​earth personality are just a great combination.
Dr. Swanson explained all of our options and suggested we go with a retainer because it was the least expensive option and made the most sense given my son’s age (he was 14 at the time). He told me we don’t need to think about a longer term solution for the missing tooth til he is 19 or so. IMPRESSIVE! It’s hard to find a doctor with his level of integrity, credentials, and personality combined!
Fast forward one year… my 11-​year-​old is now in need of braces. All of his teeth are in and he definitely needs some help! Dr. Swanson says we can wait but with the way my insurance works I want to move forward now. So, he explained my options, he involved our son in every step, and my young son loves him as well. In addition, he uses the latest technology to ensure the best outcome in the quickest possible time to reduce overall cost. CHECK HIM OUT ON YOUTUBE To top it off, he really worked with me on cost when I explained what I was capable of affording. What doctor does that? NONE that I know of!
Bottomline, in my lifetime I have to come to trust only one other doctor and I have been a patient of his for many years. I find that most doctors/​dentists/​etc have a job to do and they get paid for doing procedures. Surgeons get paid to do surgery, doctors get paid to run tests, dentists get paid to do root canals, etc, right?
Well, Dr. Swanson is simply DIFFERENT. He is an orthodontist who, I believe, really wants the best for his patients and puts his needs second, always. He has earned my trust and respect and will be our orthodontist until my children are grown and gone.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.
Finally, Maria is AWESOME! She runs the office, knows me and my children by name, and makes every visit just a pleasure. I feel like I’m going to see a friend when I see her. I look forward to our conversations!

Our oldest child was referred by our general dentist to see Dr. Swanson for some crowding and overbite issues. We walked into the office and were pretty impressed with the total look and feel of the office and staff. Clearly a lot of time, thoughtfulness and technology was put into the practice. When we met with Dr. Swanson we were pleased to see how knowledgable he was and the comforting chair side manner he had. He quickly developed a great rapport with our child and was still able to also show a lot of respect for our perspective as parents regarding her treatment. We were very pleased with the entire experience and we’ll definitely refer all of our friends to the office.

Dr. Swanson was a pleasure to work with — he’s both extremely smart and great at communicating the work being done. Here are a few of the highlights:
–He worked around my schedule. His allowance of late appointments made scheduling my visits pain-​free and easy.
–Cutting edge technology. For example, when offering Invisalign, he was able to scan for fit instead of making an impression. Everything in his office is new and modern.
–He was always super friendly, making the actual appointments relaxed and enjoyable.

Dr Swanson and his team (especially Maria) are about as fun as going to the dentist can be! I was not looking forward to it. First, I wasn’t sure I needed to get my teeth corrected; I always liked my slightly crooked smile. Second, braces? really?
But I went, on the advice of my dentist and I am glad I did. Dr S’s is that rare breed of medical professional: easy going, relaxed and yet extremely competent — something obvious not just from the the diplomas and certifications, but from the very insightful comments he makes from the get-​go and as the re-​alignment proceeds.
I saw him for a total of 2+ years, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results or with the experience.

The braces are off and replaced with a damn fine looking smile! I cannot stop smiling. :)
I had particularly stubborn teeth. Dr. Swanson is also a perfectionist, like myself, so we hung on until they were exact. It was worth all the extra time. In fact, I’m so freakin’ thrilled with my new teeth that I would have easily endured another six months to look this fabulous.
I don’t think I can remember the last time I was so pleased with a business, doctor, or any other service. Seriously, from top to bottom, Dr. Swanson and his staff run a great practice. A run down:
— Not that it matters, but his office is really clean and comfortable. The office is also equipped with some seriously fancy equipment.
— His front office receptionist is always courteous, helpful and generally lovely. I was never ignored when I went up to the desk, there were never any scheduling issues, and Maria was very efficient at her job.
— The assistant in the back is awesome. She was very friendly, competent, funny, always careful. I hope Dr. Swanson pays her well– She is a key part as to why I feel so awesome about this office and my new teeth.
— Dr. Swanson is patient, funny and flexible. He is also a bit of an arteeest. If one can be an artist in contouring teeth he is the man. It’s amazing. I seriously had a bad experience with my recent orthodontics but he fixed them in just 10 months! No more ugly teeth. In addition to being straight, they are now perfectly shaped. I never imagined that they would look this good.
I have a follow up appointment in 8 weeks to see that the my retainers are doing there job. I think I’m actually going to miss them. How often does someone say that about their orthodontist?
