Educated in Almaden Valley’s public schools (Bret Harte Middle and Leland High School) and at Santa Clara University (B.S. 2001, M.B.A. 2007), Brett firmly believes in giving back to his community. In January 2010, Brett founded the Bronco Water Polo Foundation, a non-​profit corporation dedicated to supporting the academic, athletic, and career goals of Santa Clara University’s male and female water polo players and to elevate and expand the sport in general.

Brett is easily the best Realtor I have met in Silicon Valley. I had the pleasure of having Brett as my mentor when I started in the business.
His incredibly high IQ and equally matched EQ allow him to be a masterful communicator and negotiator with an unparalleled level of integrity. Matched with his business background (MBA) and knowledge of the valley it’s easy to see why he makes it hard for other realtors to compete with him.
In my time working with Brett he continually out performed everyone’s expectations and does it with class and intelligence.
Back this all up with Amy Franklin, who makes sure that everything on the back end is perfect, you can’t get a better real estate experience. Not to mention Amy is sought out by countless other realtors for her insane photography and marketing material because she is just that damn good.
But hey don’t take my word for it. Talk to him and I know you will quickly see what I am talking about.
Brett and Amy really change the game, and you will want them in your corner.

My wife and I hired Brett as the listing agent to sell our home in San Jose. Before we hired Brett, we interviewed 3 other listing agents and picked Brett based on his creative marketing ideas to quickly sell our home. Brett worked with us in coming up with a home improvement plan that provided us the best return on upgrade $$$. Our time line was very tight and Brett delivered against the mutually-​agreed upon plan in a timely fashion. Multiple quotes were obtained for the upgrades, which helped reduce out-​of-​pocket costs to us and kept the contractors honest with their bids. Of course, issues arise but Brett always has a nice calming way of handling matters. The chosen contractors worked well under his direction and this took a lot of pressure of us, especially when we were settling into a new home. With the tight schedule, admittedly, we were quite demanding of Brett’s time. Final result was an excellent presentation of our home which resulted in multiple offers and a final price well above asking price. Home sale can be a stressful time but Brett made it an enjoyable process for us. Give Brett a chance to represent you on your next sale and I have a feeling that you will have a great experience like my wife and I did during our recent home sale.

We had put a lot into our home in just 4 short years, so when we decided to put our home on the market, Brett set up a timeline and showing plan that helped us realize our selling goals in the shortest time possible! Brett has now represented us 3 times (purchased a home in April’2007, sold the same home in July’2013 and purchased a home in June’2013). With all three transactions he exceeded our expectations! The April’2007 was a short sale that closed immediately (no bank hold up). The July’2013 sale was on the market for 7 days and sold for 2.6% over ask. The June’2013 purchase was an intense situation with 6 other offers of which were not the top dollar. In all three situations Brett brought a fresh perspective, suggestions and ideas on how to make our offer the best/​market the home for a quick sale. He has definitely a wealth of experience and I would HIGHLY recommend him to not only our family and friends but to anyone!

Brett Bynum is an excellent real estate agent, he is not only highly skilled and educated (MBA) but also very intuitive and extremely experienced. He knows the real estate business very well, he studied its highs and lows and knows the market upside down as he bought and sold a whole lot of houses in Bay Area.
Me and my husband looked for a house for a while and it was our first time buying so we didn’t know much about it. Brett explained everything to us in detail, was very patient with us and gave us many options, asked questions and suggested solutions. He recommended what would be best for us. He didn’t just want to sell us a house, he wanted us to be happy and satisfied with a good value and price of it.
Brett also knows a lot about construction of a house, he can spot any problems with the foundation right away and looks very closely at every house we liked. We wanted to put an offer on a house that seemed great but Brett noticed mold upstairs and he advised against it. He is very honest and thorough. We trusted Brett and he proved to us that he is very trustworthy. When we finally found a house that had no structural problems Brett put together a great offer that got us a house even though there were 3 offers higher than ours. We were selected because of Brett’s expertize, persistence, great judgment and knowledge of the market. Now we are very happy owners.
It was great working with Brett as he is so easy going, kind, open, reliable and you can count on him anytime. It seems as if he works day and night to make sure a client is satisfied. I interviewed three other highly recommended realtors when we were going to move here and was so glad that I chose Brett. He is a listener — clearly understanding all of our needs in a house — and every home we saw matched my criteria. He is highly organized and takes care of the details — during each house-​hunting trip he was well-​prepared with water and a clipboard for me with all of the listings we were to see in a day. He is a teacher — patiently giving me tours of various neighborhoods and also fully explaining the numerous nuances of the closing process.

Brett was patient and made an overwhelming process (for a 1st time buyer like me) immediately comfortable and manageable. He took the time to find out what was important to me in a property but also made suggestions based on his knowledge of the area. He also did not push me to make any hasty decisions and let me have time to think about this big decision between the weekends we went out looking; really important to me that I could take my time!
When it came to actually purchasing my condo, I originally had my heart set on a 1-​br and had even put down a deposit in one location. When we walked out of that property Brett asked me if there were any other places I had ANY second thoughts about and might want another look. We ended up going back to one of the first properties we saw 6 months earlier. Although I was still intimidated at the cost, Brett was able to work out a purchase plan that would fit with my main goals (a low monthly mortgage). I ended up buying a the 3-​br condo I had first fell in love with, a much better fit for me, at a price I didn’t know I could originally afford. Thanks to Brett’s guidance in suggesting a property with room to grow, I am now extremely happy! He had the foresight into what would be a better long-​term purchase for me, but also waited for me to realize this, rather than push it.
I also want to note that throughout the process, I was extremely confident in Brett’s knowledge of each step and I really felt like he was on my side. No matter how naïve a question I had, Brett took the time to answer it earnestly and in a way that made sense to me. He also never scoffed at my budget or housing price range and never tried to push me outside of it. I really felt like a team. Real Estate is the business of folks with more moxie than me. I hate every aspect of the house hunting process save for actually looking at houses.
