By far the best dental experience I have had. All of their staff, from the front desk to the dental techs to the dentist, is nice and personable and make a real effort to make sure you have a pleasant dental experience. They explain all of your options and never make you feel rush or pressured into making a decision. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of. They seem to genuinely care about me, my teeth and my pocketbook. I always leave their office with a smile, which seems like a cliché but true. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new dentist! Thank you Z Dental!

I’ve got to say that I wanted to love this place based on the reviews on Unilocal and the fact that it is difficult to find a trustworthy dentist office in Los Angeles. My first visit for basic cleaning procedures was a bit odd but I tried to be open minded based on the reviews. The place was informal — staff members talking to each other behind the front desk about things unrelated to work, coming and going out of the dentistry area and down the hallway. It was a bit confusing to me. First the hygienist, then the «dentist», and then… the annoying front office clerk who came in for the final discussion about costs. It all seemed relative to what one experiences when purchasing a vehicle. But I trusted the reviews and ignored my gut instincts. My last experience at the office will be my last experience at the office. First the hygienist came in and asked a few questions, then the dentist who quickly looked at my teeth and the issue at hand and made a recommendation, and then the front office clerk (the Nazi receptionist) again came in to discuss costs that were different from what the «dentist» diagnosed, refused to listen to me when I tried to explain what the «dentist» had told me, and began making many excuses and costly recommendations… while also assuring me that she understood the financial burdens. It was all a bit absurd. After this experience I went back and looked at some of the negative reviews posted on Unilocal about the office, and I have to say that to a large part I have experienced and feel the same.

Excellent service as always! We have a very tight schedule and Iveta and Arsen always try to squeeze my husband and I for an appointment at the same time. I get very nervous every time I have to see a dentist, but here they have relaxing calm music, it’s a very quiet office, and the staff is very nice and understanding.

I recently got a minor chip on my tooth due to biting down on it too hard (don’t ask). I felt as though I messed up big time and it weighed on me because I wasn’t familiar with what’s possible to correct it and how well it could possibly turn out.
I began my search for dental practices in close proximity to work so that I could get something done given my schedule. I had taken a look at a few different groups and their reviews before contacting Z. After my call I felt positive that my chip could be repaired, and had all of my questions answered.
I had a very good experience with them. I was able to get an early appointment on a Saturday morning, they were very quick about the visit, clear on pricing, etc. The dentist gave me confidence when I asked him how difficult he thought the procedure would be. In addition, I discussed options for other services with them that I still need to follow up on!
Given the condition and color of my teeth, you can not tell that I ever got a chip on my tooth. Next I plan to get cleaning and most likely will consider whitening with them.

Let me add my voice to the chorus of ‘yays!’ I switched to Z Dental because of the Unilocal reviews. My former dentist felt sort of shady. I have a DMO, but costs kept changing and no one could give me the detail of the suggested work, which seemed to be excessive. Here, it’s all discussed and fees are right upfront so no surprises. Plus, the entire staff is just cool. And, free parking and centrally located.
I’m thrilled I found this office. I’ve recommended it to several people already.

I have been coming here for over a year now and love the professionalism and staff. It can be hard to make an appointment and stick with it so they usually take me the same day or last minute add on for a big procedure.

To be honest, I love beautiful teeth but I really really really hate going to the dentist but since I have too I love this dental spot.
Overall everything has been a great experience!

This Dental office is the best for Invisalign. My smile came out better than I could of imagined. Ivetta and Arsen really ensure every patient leaves happy. If I had kids, I’d trust their smile with them!
Very convenient hours as well, open nights and weekends.

These guys deserve a 6 star, they really care about you and your teeth, although I had a couple problems with my teeth and I believe they could make a better judgment on what kind of treatment I need but I think they genuinely did their best.
The lady at the front desk helped me a lot to negotiate my treatment, doctors are kind and patient, overall very good place to go for your dental needs.

Wow, I’m shocked by these good reviews. I came on Unilocal just to warn people about this place. The problems that Z Dental caused me with their shoddy work has been horrifying to say the least. I just finished paying off the $ 3500 I had to pay to have the stuff fixed that they botched.
I came initially for a cleaning and exam and liked the dentist I saw first. I didn’t have any cavities or tooth decay, but wanted to have all of my mercury fillings replaced with white fillings. Then I was BOMBARDED by hone calls from the hygienist. I came back for the fillings and was talked into replacing two crowns as well. Fine with me. They were cheap and I liked the female dentist I saw first, so assumed her associates were also good. WRONG.
*********They are NOT regular dental office… i.e. one that has a doctor who started the practice and adds long-​time associates. Instead it is run by a Russian couple, one who is a hygienist and the other runs the office and the two of them hire and rotate the dentists constantly.*******
The second, third (and fourth!) dentists did terrible work! There were DIFFERENT DENTISTS each time I came! Even for the same crown! It took me a while to realize that they just have a rotating door of dentists, maybe straight out of school?
THE DENTIST WHO CEMENTED THE (TWO!) CROWNS LEFT MARGINS SO LARGE THAT FOOD NOW GOT CONSTANTLY STUCK IN BETWEEN AND THEY HAD TO BE REPLACED-​BOTH OF THEM! Had both re-​done somewhere else. Cost $ 2000 to fix!
The worst was one of my replaced fillings had sensitivity, about which i told them IMMEDIATELY. The response was that the sensitivity «will go away.» It didn’t. I informed them again and the dentist suggested that I may have some kind of «phantom» pain in the tooth that touches the filling and not the actual tooth itself. I said, okay. Trusting them.
I learned that was NOT how it should have been handled. Sensitivity that doesn’t subside needs to be immediately addressed as it is a sign that the filling was not sealed properly. The end result was the nerve was hyper-​stimulated and would never go back to normal, and needed to be deadened. I had to have a ROOT CANAL AND CROWN ON A TOOTH WITH NO DECAY BECAUSE OF THEIR MISTAKE REPLACING A SIMPLE FILLING. Another $ 1500!
This is not to mention the PAIN (some unbearable with the sensitive tooth), and a LOT of headache/​hassle, time off for appointments, constantly having to carry those stupid dental floss swords for ages, not being able to consume anything cold, avoiding eating on one side of the mouth, etc, etc. So I paid them, suffered immeasurabley, and then paid again (somewhere else, of course), to have it all done again… CORRECTLY! Horrible! Horrible! HORRIBLE!
All of this was completely avoidable and fixable. The Russian couple are nice in person… but OMG! …freaking SHADY! They are only interested in money. $$$ The woman actually admitted to me that they don’t have magazines to read because she discovered that customers buy less when they have magazines to read. OMG!
DO NOT GET ANY WORK DONE HERE!

I should start by saying that historically speaking there is no word that instills fear in me quite like the word «dentist.» I’ve been to a bunch of them and spent the past twenty years dealing with a series of unfortunate and painful dental issues of the variety that leave my friends’ mouths gaping in horror.
So you can imagine that I wasn’t exactly delighted when my mouth exploded in pain several Saturdays ago as I was en route to a relaxing day at the beach. My mouth throbbed, my face swelled, and the pain extended all the way down to my lymph nodes. All I have to say is: Thank god.
Thank god because this incident led me to find Z Dental Group for emergency weekend care (why is it these things only happen on weekends and after hours, anyway?). It is nothing short of a miracle that someone as terrified of the dentist as I am now actually ENJOYS – yes, enjoys! – going to the dentist.
I simply can’t say enough stellar things not only about Dr. Riman (who did an on-​the-​spot resurrection of my mouth, which included teeth extraction, a bone graft, and dealing with an infection), but also about the rest of the staff, all of whom are absolutely delightful, and so extremely kind and understanding about dental fears and phobias. Not only is their patient interaction incredible, but so is their work. In the five weeks since the initial surgery, I have gone in once a week since to check-​in and have never had anything less than a wonderful experience.
Whether you need a simple cleaning or significant work done, this is your spot. Finding this team has literally changed my life.

I was looking for an honest dentist in Los Angeles and was referred to Z Dental by a friend. From the second I walked in I was amazed by the level of service and knowledge. I highly recommend this place to those who are looking to have a professional dental care. They accommodate their time around my busy schedule. I’m surprised that there are some people that give this place a one star review. Try Z dental once and you’ll be a happy patient forever.

WATCH OUT!!! They will scam you for your money. I went to their office for a filling and walked out with a $ 105 bill.
They couldn’t tell me exactly how much the one procedure would be because their «system is down» and gave me a range of around $ 125. I did not know how much fillings should cost from my insurance until after.
When i found out i requested a detail of the procedure. They sent me a detail of ONE procedure costing $ 105, when i told them that a filling should be $ 45 they sent another detail, now with THREE procedures on it. I called my insurance and they said those are not covered under your insurance and are elective. Desensitizing gel and a GE Liner. Does anyone know what a GE liner is? I couldn’t find it on google.
I asked them why i was not told prior about the 2 procedures that were not covered by my insurance and they said it is up to the doctor. WTF does that mean.
Stay away from these people that charge as much as they want without giving you clear costs. Ask questions and ask for backup.
I’m sure they will respond to this saying they did everything right and i was not happy with the outcome, which is false. The dentist was great but watch out for the people at the front desk.

they took great care of me for about 4 years! I have sent a few people here. 2 out of 3 had root canals here. my old crown fell off. they insisted I needed a root canal. my gut screamed NO. so. got a 2^nd opinion. saved myself over $ 800 & my roots intact! So. with life and ALL diagnosis given~GET A 2^nd OPINION! Always!!! so. great facility, great staff~just get a 2^nd opinion if something major is needed. & always trust your instinct!

I found Z Dental after seeing the great reviews and ratings by Unilocal users. They have been exceptional since day one. The whole team is professional, engaging, and consistently make sure that when you leave your treatment you are happy. Their prices are very reasonable. I have been paying out of pockets for all treatments and have never felt that the cost for procedures were overpriced. After a few visits I began inquiring about invisiline. Iveta was extremely knowledgable and never tried to sell me on the product. She was honest about the total cost and urged me to think it though before making my final decisions. They offer CareCredit so I was able to pay the balance of over 12 months with no interest. So far I am half way through my invisiline treatment and I continue to be very happy with their service and the progress of my teeth straightening (before and after photos in photo collection). I recently took graduation photos and could really notice and appreciated all the work that was put into my teeth by the team. Thank you Z Dental!

I have been a patient of Z Dental Group a couple years now. They are super close to my practice so its very convenient for me. They are also open over the weekend and have always been very accomodating with my busy schedule. They are very thorough and honest about any work needed and provided me with exceptional dentristy. I highly recommend Z Dental group Iveta, Arsen & Dr Tojarieh, Lucy :)

I had an emergency — a filling fell out and I was kinda freaked out. Z Dental took me on a Sunday with no emergency fees. Not only that, everyone was so nice and accommodating. The place was clean and nice. The best part is that I am terrified of dentists, but the doctor was so gentle. He had a special technique for administering novocaine that took longer for him, but was so much nicer and less painful and scary for me. I’ll be going back to get a couple of old metal fillings removed, and my fiancé is going too. He sat through the whole thing to make me less nervous, but I didn’t need him because everyone was so great. I got a cleaning too — quick and no scraping. Not bad at all. Highly recommended!

Not sure how this place has gotten so many good reviews… Have you ever been to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change and the service guy keeps trying to hustle you into every possible add on? That’s what happens here.
Awkward, creepy vibe right off the bat. My wife and I walked in here for the first and last time in November. Weird lighting, no customers, and the entire family standing around in silence with plastered on smiles. We decided it was just general dentist nervousness and moved past it.
We both just needed a check-​up/​cleaning – no luck. They carried our insurance, but the dentist told both of us that what our insurance covered wouldn’t cut it. He needed to do a special «deep clean» and charge us an extra $ 200-​$ 500 apiece. We have pretty good insurance through Guardian and we both had been to our previous dentists in Austin within the last year, so these add-​ons didn’t seem reasonable. My wife and I discussed the deep cleaning and might have gone through with it to be safe, but the staff was so pushy. They kept creeping around the office whispering to each other and insisting they wouldn’t do a simple cleaning – it had to be the extra cleaning. We got up and backed out the door as they stared after us. Blech.

This is THE best dental office in Los Angeles. Dr. T and the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I came here for whitening and Invisalign. I am incredibly happy with the results of both of my procedures.
My last two dentists were awful and tried performing procedures I did not need just to make a profit off me. Dr. T was honest — he told me exactly what I need and, more importantly, what I DON’T need. If you need a cosmetic dentist to perfect your smile, look no further than Dr. T and his staff at Z Dental!

I had emergency oral surgery at Z Dental Group while I was in Los Angeles for the holidays. Everyone who works there are amazing. I was in a great deal of pain and they made me very comfortable. The oral surgeon explained all my options and didn’t try to push any decisions on me. Instead he gave me some time to decide on my own which was very thoughtful since I was a nervous wreck at the thought of having oral surgery on my holiday while away from home.
I would definitely recommend them for emergencies and or if you live in LA and are in need of a dentist.

Let me preface this by saying I absolutely hate going to the dentist (who enjoys it, right?) Well, thanks to Dr. Farzard Torjarieh this has changed! It is by no means a manicure or massage, but it definitely isn’t the dreaded experience that I’ve always expected.
I was loyal to my dentist for more than fifteen years. It was the dentist my mother took me to while growing up and as I got older, I didn’t think to bother looking for another dentist. Needless to say, all my experiences with him were terrible and I really dreaded going to the dentist because it always included pain and tons of discomfort.
Dr. Farzad is so light handed that I have my first root canal scheduled this week and I’m not even afraid. Before, just the mere thought of a root canal would send me into a panic. I had some extensive fillings performed yesterday and a few shots in my mouth. The shots were painless! He’s amazing!!! Seriously, if you are a big baby when it comes to dental work (and even if you’re not) I HIGHLY recommend him.
Their entire staff is so warm and inviting. Their service and warm, friendly environment, goes unrivaled! I’m soooo happy I came to this place!
