They have great service whether you’re dining in or calling in your order for pick up. I always get the Bulgogi which is $ 11. The portions are great for the money you’re paying. Glad I came across this place, I will definitely continue eating here.

Yum! They were friendly and extremely accommodating – willing to make any of the dishes without meat/fish for us. In the event, I ordered the silk tofu soup, which came out bubbling hot. It was very flavorful and healthy and came with a soft boiled egg and delicious purple rice. The meal also came with 6(!) sides, including a couple of kinds of seaweed, kimchi, fermented beans and a kind of delicious macaroni salad. It’s the kind of food you can feel good about gorging on, and it’s very affordable!

Getting off school and got so hungry today. Try this place due to its the nearest one. I love korean food so I tried a lot of good korean restaurants around Los Angeles. Taste is ok. Don’t expect the food will surprise you. But since I was hungry at that time. It was still good for me. The price is very affordable. Two of us only spend $ 18 for dinner.

Came here on a Monday before our trip to Wi Spa. We were looking for the closest Korean place I’m soooooo gladdddd to have found this place! I’m no Korean but what we ordered taste super homely and legit! This place doesn’t have any menus, we basically ordered base off of pictures on the wall. Can’t really tell what some of their dishes are, so we literally pointed to whichever looks bomb and ended up picking some safe dishes haha. We got * bibimbap — Not bad! It also comes with red bean rice which is pretty unique. Highly Recommended! * bulgogi — Also recommended! Yummm * sushi * spicy rice cake ramen — Love at first sight hahaa but Not the best I’ve had. Their Spicy rice cake is more on the sweet side. Service is pretty slow even if we’re the only party Took us a good 25 minutes to just get our side dishes. And their side dishes were just meh :/But I would definitely suggest trying their bulgogi and bibimbap. Will be back for this little hidden gem in Ktown :)

My coworkers and I order delivery very often for lunch and we all agree that their food is very clean. Just like other Unilocalers pointed out, it has that home cooked Korean food taste that your mom made for you. Their side dishes change each time we ordered and the ahjimas are super nice and sweet.

Unlike other American style Korean restaurant which offered bibmbop, soondubu or fried chicken, this place has varieties of authentic dish that I have never tried. Its more like a family owned place so it was indeed small and not crowded. I was surprised at first when they don’t have menu, even Korean menu. I basically just chose the food based on the photos on the wall. I asked the waitress for the recommendation and she suggested me to try pan fried squid, I was hesitated in the beginning because I am not a seafood person but decided to give it a try. Side dishes were served right after I ordered. The flavor of side dishes were okay, tasted like they have been there for a long time and were lack of flavor. It also came with seaweed soup. Squid dish was served super fast too. The squid definitely shocked me in a GOOD way. I did not know what kind of sauce was it but it was spicy, sweet and tasty. They were super generous in giving great portion of squid. I could not stop having bite after bite. They also added cabbage and onion to bring up some texture of the food. I love Korean food and I have tried so many kinds of great Korean food but never tried something like this. Ugh I wish I know what was the secret sauce so I could add it to all kinds of food. This place was super close to my school so I guess I will come here to try more food next time. Too bad cause I believe if this place is inside the Ktown, it will for sure be super popular. Parking space was super limited.

Mom and Pop restaurant. Korean food. If you’re Korean, the food here goes straight to the«Seoul»(lame joke. I know. Lol). Came here for lunch after a friend’s graduation. We had bulgogi, dduk boki, some orange chicken type of dish and jap cheh. It was all good and tasted like home/mom’s cooking. The ban chan was good as well(particularly the kimchi and the oh eeh [cucumber] kimchi). And the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend to friends. Too bad it’s on the outskirts of K-town, in a shopping center that not too many people go to. But then again, maybe it’s better not too many people know about it, so it doesn’t get too crowded.

I’m sooooo happy to have found this place. Since I’ve been in LA, I’ve never found a Korean restaurant that really stood out. Most are mediocre to me, no more than 3 or 4 stars at best, nothing special. All the dishes here taste to me like they are made with care. So comforting and homely. So far I’ve tried yukgaejang(perfect!), kimbap, bean sprout rice, kimchi chigae, and stir fried squid. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Dishes tastes rich, red rice is yummy, kimchi is to me the best in LA. I can’t wait to try the fish jorim but she says it’s not in season now. I’m sure I will love it too. The owner is a really nice warm korean lady and it’s reflected in her cooking. I’ve only visited so far during off peak time but it’s bit sad to see that it’s been empty each time. This place is a TOTAL gem for Korean homey cooking and I look forward to coming here for years to come. More people should know about this place.

First off, this restaurant is clean. It is a small mom n pops joint that is well taken care of. The chef lady is extremely nice and skilled. Great quality.

Outside of the huge, well-known Korean restaurants in Koreatown, it is pretty hard to find the true gems of Korean cuisine. There is a mountain load of smaller, hole-in-the-wall restaurants that dot the entire landscape and many of them aren’t as inviting or appetizing Wooree is a hidden gem in a nondescript strip mall on 8th St; the sign isn’t too large, so it might be easily missed as you zip along in your car. However, i say that a visit to this place is in order All of the things i tried in my various visits there have that taste of home cooking. The owner lady is very nice and her culinary touch is comforting. My favourite is the je-yook-bokkum(pan-fried sliced pork strips with kimchi). It’s such a shame that this place is not as well-known as other eateries like Hodori, Nakwon or Halmejip/Ummajip. i daresay that this place tastes way better than those more popular joints

I will admit — my lack of knowledge in Korean food has left me to believe that I am not a huge fan. You may ask, how can I judge something I have yet to experience to the fullest — easy… I stay neutral about this situation. I took alot for me to find a ‘safe dish’. I didn’t trust anything. Too afraid to order something because the pictures served no justice for the description. This place doesn’t have a menu. There are pictures on the wall. You just point to what ya want and have a seat. My safe dish was ramen. Is ramen Korean? I think not! My date ordered squid. Eventually, we traded meals because I’m a brat and his food was more tasty than mine. I didn’t care for my ramen. I’m not down with the egg. The chief drop and egg in my ramen. That will always be a huge NO-no in my book. While we were waiting for our meals, we were given tiny bowls of veggies: seaweed, cabbage, cucumber, kimchi, potato, and the other stuff I couldn’t figure out. I didn’t like any of it except the seaweed. I will always get down on seaweed. It doesn’t matter how its cook, feed it to me. I will raise their 3 stars up one because the fish cakes were delicious and they gave me my favorite. red bean rice. Red bean always makes me smile. Under $ 20 for two meals combined. I’m a cheap date. —- This joint is open Monday — Saturday. 9am-9pm The parking lot is tiny and shared with the other 30 business in the plaza.
