Eyebrow threading is a fast, growing, new trend. Threading, a technique originating in India years ago and widely practiced in the Middle East, is the art of hair removal using cotton threads to twist and prune individual strands of hair, providing a natural way to sculpt and shape the perfect eyebrows. Threading raises the arch of the eyebrow adding shape and definition.

Eyebrow threading takes only five to ten minutes and is a far superior alternative to waxing. More importantly, the advantages of threading over waxing are increased precision and quickness, accuracy and ease. If you are looking for someone to make your eyebrows look perfect, I strongly recommend Glenn! I am very picky, and not only that, doing my eyebrows is very tricky, not many people can do it! Glenn is the only one whom I really trust. He has been doing this for me over a year and all I can say is that he is really amazing and knows his job very well, go with him!

Nina is AMAZING!!! I have been filling in my brows for years and she suggested I tint them. I did and it’s like the best decision ever! My brows look amazing even after I wash my face. The tint is subtle but makes a huge difference overall. Also her attitude and threading technique are outstanding. I send everyone to her.

I have been going to Threads for over a year now. Initially, I went in as a walk in. I’ll leave out the negative experiences I have had, because it’s a hit or miss with some of the other employees.
I get it. Everyone has a bad day, but one experience left me with a very bad taste. I actually almost never went back, but one emergency First World eyebrow problem day after on a Friday, I met Mr. Glenn Coco.
Glenn always pays attention to detail; listens to what I want and is always professional and consistent.

I just brought in my teenage daughter to have Glenn thread her eyebrows. We first met him at Ziba at Westside Pavilion and then luckily found he was here by a fellow Unilocaler. Glenn is the best — my daughter was nervous and had never had her eyebrows done before him but she was so happy with the results. Glenn is patient and did exactly what she asked him to do — he cleaned up her brows while keeping them looking natural. The receptionist was also nice and the salon is clean. Although it’s a farther drive from our home, it’s definitely worth it.

I’ve been going to thread for over a year now. Nina is my girl! My eyebrows have never looked better. I get compliments on them all the time. She helped me create shape — before Thread, I always plucked. It’s clean, pretty cheap services and they give loyalty cards. Highly recommend coming here and getting Nina!

I have been coming here for over 2 years now. When I first came to Thread I lived in Burbank and would make the drive because of how much I loved my experience. Now I live down the street and it’s much easier to get to. I always see Nina when I go and she’s amazing! She will tell you the truth about your eyebrows and show you exactly where they are uneven or where they need to grow in. Everyone who works there is great too, but she is my favorite. They rarely have a wait and if there is, it’s easily less than 10 minutes. They have a loyalty program which just switched from a punch card to an electronic system which is cool because I would always lose the card. The best part is that it’s only $ 15 to get your eyebrows done! Everyone should come here, Nina works miracles.

I have never had a bad experience at this place and I have gone to multiple brow artists multiple times and done multiple services so I know that I can recommend them to you
The only bad part is parking and that doesn’t stop me from going by if the thread were to open a new location and it may be something for them to think about to Open a location and with more access to parking than Melrose Boulevard
Also I love that they have never given me a tough time about bringing my dog

I followed Unilocal reviews & had a disappointing experience here. I came on an afternoon when it was very quiet (I was the only customer). But No ONE greeted me when I came in. The eyebrow threaders were all texting on their cell phone and didn’t ever raise their head up. The receptionist didn’t say hi either: she just blankly pointed at the form to write down my name. The energy was such a downer honestly… I would have looked passed that if the eybrows were well done, but… Fail on that side too. I had only one request: keep them THICK! Just clean up. I hate thin. And… he (it was a boy) over-​threaded them & they are now definitely way too thin. To make matters worse: it’s the most expensive I’ve been to (I’m used to paying $ 8 for the best threading in NYC!). All around: would NOT recommend.

This place is a little pricey but worth it.
I’m super picky and particular about where I get my eyebrows done, especially because I usually take months to grow them out cus they take so long to grow. I’ve only been twice and got my brows done by both Nina and Glenn and both times I left feeling totally satisfied. You need to trust your eyebrow person and I definitely do trust these two.

It says closing time 7… I’m here at its already closed. I don’t understand why their closing time is so flexible? It’s not my first time experiencing this.
Besides that, the staff is nice and the facilities are clean. $ 15 for eyebrow threading is pretty expensive but it’s Melrose so I understand.
Parking is very easy– free street parking on Martel!

Glen hooked me up! It was my first time, and I was able to get right in before my appointment time even started! I was scheduled for 5:00, but was able to get in the chair by 4:40 on a Friday! I got right in, and was finished before 5:00! Go Glen! He did a really good job!

I followed the best eyebrow threading professional I know to this location. Glen is the only human on earth I trust my brows with. He is very gentle and knows many techniques hat other people don’t know to shape my brows and gives a great consultation and feedback. My brows became a little thin for plucking them myself, with Glen’s expertise, they are now full and arched to perfection.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GLEN.
Additionally, the spot is very clean, inviting and everyone who works there is welcoming.

I’ve been there twice and the second time the girl cut me! I don’t think she knew what she was doing. The manager apologized and invited me to come back for a free threading but why would I? This really hurts!
And she put neosporin on it, which any dermatologist will tell you, a lot of people have hypersensitivity reactions to neosporin!

Pros: they do a great job on my brows. I really like the thread that they use. It doesn’t hurt as much as other places.
Cons: the lady at the front desk is very unprofessional. I went there for the final time today as I don’t like going to a place where I feel like they are doing me a huge favor to do a service of which I am paying for. I arrived 20 minutes before closing and she said that since there were 3 people ahead of me I couldn’t get my eyebrows done. She said «sorry, I have to leave right at 7». Basically telling a customer that I was trying to interfere with her personal life.
I would rather go down the street for just as good a job at half the price where they believe in customer service.
