The Nerd Concierge

I have wasted 20+ hours researching, buying, trying, then returning IP cameras. First I bought an Amazon «#1 seller» camera, which was great at first, but the app started to freeze a lot. The primary use for this will be as a baby cam, which is why app freezing is unacceptable. So I returned it. Then I tried a Tenvis, again, easy set up and started great… but the app was buggy from the get go. OK, sent that back, then got myself a Foscam. Best app of all and good camera, but the most difficult to set up and if you tinker too deep, you can lose it… which I did. I spent 2 days trying to figure this camera out, got it to work, then updated the firmware, thats when it went to hell. Finally I consulted the Nerd, and yes, he is indeed a super nerdy dude which is why I liked him. He sent me a link to a camera and I bought it (BTW, my goal was to NOT buy a Nest Dropcam). Great little camera. Easy installation, but the best part, a very SOLID APP. I never saw this camera during my research and über nerd showed me the way. It’s always good to have that «go to» guy for tech and Matt is my guy!

For over two years and hours on the phone with AT&T tech, I hadn’t been able to get my AT&T Microcell to work with my Apple Airport router. Matt came over and got it working and then also optimized my wifi network for me! Super great guy, glad I found him here on Unilocal

Matt at Nerd Concierge is fantastic. Skip the lines at Best Buy and the Apple Store. Technology moves fast, and Matt is up to date on everything. He found us the best deals and set us up. I’m a busy guy, and I had this security system laying around still in the box for over a year. The wires had already been run when the house was built, so the cameras just needed to be set up.
Eventually some loser stole 2 cacti out of my front yard. Nothing fancy, I think they were only $ 5 each, but I loved those cute little bastards. So I was motivated to finally install my security system, but the fact that I’m busy hadn’t changed. I took one look at the manual for the security system and my brain said «hell no! Go take a nap instead.» It was a good nap.
About a month later my friend mentioned this Nerd Concierge thing to help me set my Mac mini up to my TV so I could ditch my cable service. So I had them come by. Matt was amazing, he started hacking the main frame and all that other Matrix stuff, now my computer does all this stuff I can’t even wrap my head around. I canceled my cable and I haven’t looked back.
Oh yeah, back to the security cameras, While he was over I asked if could set that mess up too. He did it no problem, and now I can watch my house from my phone or laptop when I’m not there. I still haven’t caught the plant thief, but I did figure out which one of my dogs were flipping over the trash can, it was Wiener.

I used to panic whenever I got a computer error message or my cell phone froze or my external hard drive stopped working… until I met Matt, whom I consider to be the most patient man in America. He always listens to my frenzied and often unintelligible diagnoses of whatever electronic device has gone wrong, explains the issue in easy-​to-​understand terms and fixes the problem swiftly and smoothly. He has also made great recommendations to help me upgrade my TV set-​up easily and affordably. He consistently provides excellent customer service and follow-​up. I recommend The Nerd Concierge wholeheartedly.

Generally speaking I’m good with technology but when it comes to computer I only know the basics. I went to places like Best Buy and I just feel like they were trying to sell me the most expensive ones. I wasn’t sure what to get. Someone recommended I ask The Nerd Concierge. Not only were they helpful in picking the right one for me (i.e the best computer for my needs) but went out of their way to send me to different sites that had the best prices. I end up getting an amazing deal because the nerd concierge found a coupon. Thanks so much for the help. I got an awesome computer that I am happy with. I can’t recommend enough!

Was looking to price out some laptop equipment and was refereed to TNC. Found Matt to be super helpful both in helping me choose my equipment as well as getting it setup. What’s more, he made the process a breeze.
In fact, Matt was so good at helping me out I also had him help my mother who thought he was incredibly on top of it. Would return to his service in the future.
