Established in 2013.

Stephen Friedman, Owner and Creative Director, launched Tabula Rasa Home, Design and Staging. «tabula rasa» translates to «blank canvas.» Stephen transformed this idea and expanded its meaning to express an environments unique qualities. This mindset has led Tabula Rasa Home has become a leader in the Home Services Industry.

Stephen F.

Business Owner

Stephen Friedman has been fascinated with design and fashion his entire life. While in college pursuing a Music degree, he was offered a full time position with one of the leading companies in the Home Furnishing industry. The knowledge and experience he received under the supervision an outstanding Project Manager, played a critical role nurturing and fostering his career.

Stephen moved to Los Angeles to expand his opportunities. As the Manager and Lead Designer at a prominent vintage boutique, Stephen had the opportunity participate in a HGTV show and design for some of Hollywood’s most notable celebrities.

In 2013, Stephen took his life into his own hands by launching company: Tabula Rasa Home, Design and Staging. Coined by the philosopher John Locke, «tabula rasa» translates from the latin and literally means, «blank canvas.» Stephen and the team begin with a design concept that reflects the clients individuality, style, and preference.
