loved loved loved this this eyewear store. mitch and kelly are great. mitch is an absolute expert in picking out the perfect frame for you and the styles they have range from gorgeous conservative to my favorite ones… purple spectaular which i bought instantly and everything inbetween. his optical shop is top notch, having been in the business for almost three decades… he owned spex appeal for years… and the prices. one wold expect melrose prices and snobby but want one gets are GREAT prices and lots of friendly help and service without being pushy. and you can try on as many as your heart desires until you find that perfect fit or just let mitch help you and he will zone in on the absolute perfect pair for you. i am so happy i found you. thank you mitch and kelly for opening this unique store… oh …they also have great gently used designer bags for outrageously low prices… i had to not look too closely or i would have walked away with two.

First I went into LUX next door, and felt like a criminal — everything is locked up and the guy just stands there while I’m trying on glasses. Yeeegh. No thank you.
I walked a few paces down the street and found Snob Shack… thankfully the attitude of the owner was anything but (Snob). I tend to be very wary shopper and tend to avoid sales people and indeed this guy talks fast and has a great razor fast wit but within a few moments his seriously funny humor and gracious manner was very disarming and even got a laugh out of me.
In that same moment he took one look at my face and pronounced what would look best on me and precisely why. The very first pair of glasses he showed me worked PERFECT. Ok? PERFECT! And my face is kinda odd… not the easiest to find a great fit for but he nailed it! Cynical me, not wanting to believe it, I tried a few more pair on but in the end I had to admit his choice for my face was perfect.
Add to that by the time I got home I had decided against the option of transitional lenses largely because I didn’t think it though enough while I was at the store. I called him up and asked if he could remove that option and low and behold — he was most accommodating and gracious then too!
Prices are excellent I got a pair of Persols that I would have easily paid twice the amount of money for next door (– if they had even had them, which they didn’t).
