I have a bit of a shoe fetish. Normally I find one or two pairs I like in a good shoe store, and the rest are typical, bland, and uninteresting. Shoes for the Stars is just the opposite: almost every pair was unlike anything I’d seen before, and just my style. I soon experienced sensory overload. For the first time I had to narrow it down to two pairs from many, many possibilities(based on comfort for my boney feet as well as style). I’m saving one pair for special occasions. The other I’ve worn almost every day since buying them in March(3 months). They’re made of thin, comfortable, creased leather, and so far show no signs of wear at all(except of course, a little on the sole and heel – New Yorkers walk a lot). They have become the most comfortable shoes I can remember. Next time I’m in L.A. I’m going back to stock up. After 30 years in New York I’ve never found any store that even comes close. update: Unfortunately, the shoes I loved are no longer available, and SFTS have other brands that are way overpriced and poor quality(sorry, I forget the brand). One pair actually fell apart after less than 10 days of wearing them, and the store hasn’t returned my email. I’ve reduced my rating from 5 to 3 stars.

This place is like heaven. Everything in there is so unique and different to the shoes and to the dresses. Jacob is very helpful and has so much passion. I highly recommend going to this store. Hands down the most amazing store I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to allot!

After reading the other review about this store, I would caution anyone placing a custom shoe order, but if you want unique shoes, off the shelf, ready to go, be sure and stop here. You won’t regret it. Very unique shoes. Bring $$$$.

***CAUTION*** I know most of you have had a great experience with this company and its products, as did my wife, but we have recently run into a HUGE problem with a custom order for wedding shoes. **Lost out on $ 750*** My wife previously ordered a pair of custom wedding shoes for our wedding that happened last month. An employee(Daniel) took my wifes order and placed it. What was supposed to be 3 weeks, turned into nearly 3 months which at the end, produced a completely wrong shoe. To make a long story short, we did not have enough time to re-order the shoes due to our wedding being in 3 weeks. We were not willing to take the chance of possibly not getting a pair of shoes! Also, Come to find out, Daniel had been fired due to some reasons I dont want to mention here and our shoe order was waiting lost in limbo. So I spoke with owner Jacob over the phone and came to an agreement that we would be receiving a refund for our order. THISISWHERETHEPROBLEMBEGINS!!! Over the past few months, I have NOT received any refund! Jacob has been dodging phone calls to the store and his cell phone and will not return calls or text messages. Certified letters along with emails have been sent and I have tried everything to handle this peacefully and civilly without success. Unfortunately, I have now been forced to take my problem to small claims court which will cost Jacob more money and me time. Its a no win situation for either of us! I dont think anyone wants to pay extra or miss work to go to court for something that could have easily been settled. So if your thinking about ordering custom shoes, please be careful and maybe try to pay when you pick them up insted of when placing your order. Aloha ! One of my wifes favorite shoe stores have unfortunately been marked off of her list, which makes for a sad shoe fanattic!

I love this store!!! I am the epitome of a shoe junkie!!! I have to get racks build in my garage to store all of my shoes and this is by far my favorite place to buy shoes. I love designer shoes but Jacob(the owner) has an incomparable style that this review could not do justice to. I always take him pictures and he makes me shoes to match my dresses. Check out the store if you like sexy shoes!!!

This is a great shoe store for unique and exotic shoes. They also carry sizes above 13 which is why I love them. It’s difficult to find good shoes above a 13. They sell both Men’s and Women’s shoes. I know of this store as Shoes for the Stars. Maybe they changed their name, but as Ana said, Jacob is the owner, so it’s the same place. Funny as I also live in San Diego and will make a special trip to Melrose just for this store.(and Explosion across the street!)

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies… This is a Must Stop Shop! I live in Sd and make special trips for this store. The BEST stilettos ever! I’m a hair stylists and on my feet for 8 to 10 hrs a day, but I can’t sacrifice looks for comfort… well thanks to these shoes I don’t have to. I own about 7 pairs and they are all my favorites! Not to mention that they hold up very well too. The best part is that the owner Jacob will even custom make your shoes to your liking, so if you want to change the height of the heel or color, whatever, he will do it. Every shoe in the store is very feminine and sexy, my husband even encourages me to get my shoes here:) Trust me ladies, you will become customers for life. It’s really nice to see that the owner cares a lot about his customers too. All they need to do now is open one is San Diego. ps. if you want to check them out online its.shoesforthestars.com
