Red Line Service

This is the only place to take your Porsche! I have been driving Porsches for many years and they have ALL run beautifully after Marc has worked on them. He is extremely professional, attentive, courteous and kind. He does not push you to spend money on items you don’t need. He is extremely honest. I would never dream of having anyone else fix my car!

Again! Avoid this shop. Mark lied to the judge about the invoice, the work, everything. We were awarded $ 2,145 from the judge. He over charged us by over $ 13K. He is completely dishonest. And PCA racers and members avoid this shop. He has absolutely no idea how to re build a GT3 engine. He had the car for 7 months. May 2014 to November 2014 when we picked the car up in a million pieces. 911 Design had the car done in a month. Including the 11 hours it took them to figure out the mess Mark left for us. This guy is a crook and he deserves to have zero customers. Not to mention he is a full blown ass to his customers and employees. If you need an honest, clean, reputable Porsche shop, call Loren at 911 Design. he’s a PCA and POC member and does phenomenal work. He is awesome. And honest. Two things Mark doesn’t possess. And he doesn’t have to be on the board to get customers because he is honest. AVOID THIS SHOP!

READ THIS FIRST:
I brought a very nice 1963 356 to Marc Bixon and Red Line for a brake and a clutch job on the reputation of the previous owner. When I came to pick up the car, the bill was $ 1700 over the estimate… I gracefully paid. When I started the car at RL I found there was a new SERIOUS problem (massive thumping sound when idling).The car had been test driven post work performed. Though Marc said «Just drive it» I left the car and days was told by Marc that It now had a «broken crankshaft». Sensing foul play, I declined further work to be performed by RL (by this time my engine had been removed again). I paid RL again and flat bedded the car and engine (out of car) from RL and immediately discovered the flowing: The crankshaft was in fact not broken, but the end play bushings had been removed. This would have had to been done purposely and would have caused prompt engine failure. Further inspection of my car after leaving Red Line resulted In my finding that numerous original trim pieces had been swapped for far inferior parts. The cost to replace and refinish these parts was in the thousands and It took years to find them all. I opened a case with Department of Auto Repair but eventually lost interest as the process was immensely bureaucratic and time consuming. I should also note that when I informed Marc that I wanted to have the car towed elsewhere he became indignant and repeatedly delayed the process until I threatened to involve the police.

Marc is awesome. Before buying my 993 he was nothing but helpful in regards to the PPI. I must have called him a dozen times. When I purchased the car I brought it to his shop to fix all of the issues the vehicle had. We are 80 percent finished with the car and I am nothing but happy.
Mark is no BS and tells you what is most important and what can wait. His expertise is on another level. You can tell by his clientele and the cars he works on.
You must make an appt with him in advance. Do not drop off your car without calling.

Marc and his team were very helpful and honest! After having a fallout with the local dealer (BH), I found Marc and he did all the work at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention, my car did not need all the work that the dealer recommended. I will be referring Red Line Service to all Porsche friends.

Needed to replace a muffler & heat shield on my 1984 911 Cabriolet. Since I wanted to replace it with OEM parts, they had to be ordered. I discussed some issues with Marc on the phone, gave him a credit card deposit and said to place the order. Marc followed up with me about receiving the parts, and we scheduled an appointment for the work. I dropped the car at the pre-​arranged time and then went with a friend for lunch. The work was done meticulously. I had Marc raise it on his lift so that I could check it out. My total experience with Marc and Red Line could not have been better.

Recently had my Cayman serviced by Red Line. They were able to get me into their shop in a pinch, and took the time to answer my questions about the services being done and things I would like to do to the car in the future. I’ve dealt with a lot of shops over the years… all things considered, Red Line is 5 star.
