Love this spot! Good menu, great pizza, reasonable prices. I don’t order from anywhere else now because they have good service and food. Deliveries are quick and pizzas are large. 2 medium sized pizzas fed me and my two other friends. Don’t let the previous reviews deter you, this place is great.

A NELA institution… and they’re open til 11pm unlike other local pizza places so when it’s 10pm and I’m like«oh crap forgot to eat dinner» they’re there for me. Pizza is pizza… it’s not the best it’s not the worst; it gets the job done. Delivery dude is always so sweet and he told me last time that my cat is pretty so he’s my new best friend.

The pizza was always«alright» here, not great but nothing terrible. The selling point for me was it was cheap. Well now under their new ownership, shit has gotten ridiculous. Now you PAYFORSIXTOPPINGWHETHERYOUGETSIXORNOT. They«Made it easy» as the big intimidating guy told me, yeah easy like the Mafia. The quality has also gone down. The crust was nice thin and slightly cracked, now it is chewy. Also the two times I have ordered pizza under the new ownership, there seem to be less toppings on the pizza. I was worried that if I only got two toppings they would inundate the pizza with the two, no instead there seemed to be less than before. I’ve not had any of the other food but I don’t imagine it is much better. I doubt they will be around for long, I am sure they already lost a lot of business when they were closed for a month with no signs or anything at the store, and no voicemail letting customers know what was going on. Those who return, will return to find they are paying about $ 4 more for the same pizza but it’s lower quality. If you are a person who likes a lot of toppings on shitty pizza, this may work out for you. But I will not be back.

Used to be regular customers at this location, but they recently doubled their prices while the quality remains the same. No thanks! The Pasadena location resumes with same affordable prices and is now getting all of the customers from the Eagle Rock location. How do i know? Because i just placed an order and it’s an hour wait! Totally worth while and i wish much success to the Pasadena location

Pretty much this is a mom and pop shop. Quality is definitely not there. Nothing special about it. Staff sounds like they dont wanna work there. Would say 1 star but i am always routing for mom and pop shops so i gave it a 2 star. Sorry but i definitely will just go with papa johns or pizza hut or dominos.

I sort of stopped ordering from Dominos and Pizza Hut due to being able to get better product from places like Pizza Man. The sizes and portions are great for the money. They also offer many specialty pizzas like the Mexican Pizza, which is a personal favorite of mine. The wings are also great. I don’t order off of the regular menu, so I can’t comment on their other offerings. It’s pizza and wings for me all day, mate!

Pizza man is great! The delivery minimum is only $ 10 so its great when you are on a budget. Love the pizza and the salads are great as well. They are very nice and pleasant when I talk to them on the phone. Thank you for always being so sweet! I am a forever customer now! :)

Pizza man has NEVER been a top tier pizza. HOWEVER it’s been a pizza that the local Highland Park, Eagle Rock and cypress Park community can rely on. Sadly I have to admit it has gone down. The menu is more than 50% gone, I’m assuming from lack of sales, however that means the new owner is being responsible and only offering us fresh food. Personally I’d always order a lasagna with my pizza order. Now all that is gone. I’d say all the different pizza man owners know me for being a valued customer for many years … Over 20 years! So my opinion should matter. Going back to why so many different owners… Is merely because it’s not a top tier pizza and many other non commercial chain pizzerias have opened in the the now hipster community. So competition is hard for Manuel the new non Armenian owner. But I assure you he knows about the business and about the pizza business. He is trying to just get it right, not for him but for the community. I must say that delivery is probably the fastest in town! Free! I’m pretty sickened what the others charge and you get it cold and an hour later. So pizza man is golden with delivery. Now prices… Ugh. I’m a little disappointed. I was about to order yesterday and I did not. It doesn’t mean I wont again, but they went up and I know overhead goes up overtime but you can’t push a 5.00 increase on the customers so quickly on a family Deal. In addition other deals and carryout specials have gone up. I ended up ordering from another place and got more for the price I would have paid at pizza man. The pizza. It’s not top tier, but a good solid pizza to order for Any occasion. It’s not greasy at all… So that should tell you the cheese and dough are decent quality. The sauce was excellent in my opinion, but something lately has not been the same… Did they change it? For me it was a bad move. Also the crust has changed into a wannabe type New York style. Pizza man offers a thin crust, that was crispy… Now why have the regular crust as thin as the thin crust pizza they would offer?. My advice would be to feature a NY style pizza that customers can order when they want to. So I’d stick with the crust the way it was and the sauce the same it use to be. Give the customers the option. Makes sense… Right? Sometimes I get a sweet tooth… Too bad there is no longer deserts to order. But again that goes to their menu change which is pretty extreme. In closing… After years pass… if the owner remains the same… With the community changing… They will accept the menu and price changes, plus recipe changes… But they just need to keep in mind the competition and variety is rising in the community and the old schoolers may not be that happy because they are use to the old pizza man… Im all for the changes, but leave those changes up to the customers to decide and create variety in pizza crust choices. Also it would be a good idea to implement a rewards program. To where if you order 5 times the 6th time you get a free 3 topping pizza. Other places offer that after 7 orders… Be competitive and welcome to corporate America!!!

We have been meaning to try The Pizza Man for a long while. We finally did and it was basically OK. If the scale was 1 — 10 we would give it a 7. We ordered the Deluxe — tasty but way too heavy on green bell pepper and way too light on sausage and pepperoni. The prices are similar to Casa Bianca but the pizza isn’t. Same with the antipasto — at bet that was an «eh». They deliver so they have Casa beat in that regard, but there are other good pizza in area that deliver and aren’t quite as expensive. Probably will order there again but not soon. Recommendations: Beef up the pizza and maybe modulate the price. Also, when customer asks for extra parm and flakes — dont promise and then send three small packets of each — that sure isnt a «fist full».

Ordered for delivery, and I’m disappointed. Driver forgot my drink. Next time I’ll just stick to Pizza Hut or Dominos. They don’t forget stuff like that. Won’t be ordering from here again that’s for sure. Serves me right for not reading reviews and checking how many stars they have. Which by the way on Grub Hub they are ranked 1 star I just realized. Very expensive too, for the same price I rather do Pizza Hut honestly.

Just so happened to call this place for a pizza during my lunch break and the guy that answered was so cheerful and happy to be receiving my business. I told him my name and he told me «That’s my mother’s name!» I said«Cool!» I pick up my pizza and meet the guy who answered the phone and it was the owner! I told him it was my first time and if I loved the pizza, I’d be back and write an honest review. Well, the pizza is soooo good! My company will be utilizing them for office lunches, etc. the crust is delicious and the cheese is thick. Can’t wait to order again! Keep up the great work, Manuel! Five stars!

Worst place ever, bad service, manager/owner not professional. I ordered chicken and hot wings but both were very bloody. Called in owner said he couldn’t do anything about it. I asked for a refund because I didn’t eat the chicken or ask for credit he said he couldn’t do anything about it cause I was lying. I tried talking to him but all he did was cut me off quick and say he didn’t have time for this. I will never go back there again. So please check your chicken.

This is my favorite pizza. A thick layer of cheese and light grease is a perfect combination. Whenever I come back to Eagle Rock, I look forward to picking up my large pepperoni pizza, driving over to Eagle Rock Park, and eating the pizza I am deprived of in my neck of the woods. Pizza Man always has friendly service and their pizzas are made quickly for pick up. The prices are great, only $ 5.99 for a large pizza. Keep an eye out for their business flyers as they have included coupons in the past. It is also a great way to see the delicious items on their menu. Parking is limited and the spaces are narrow.

Don’t eat here! Menu & prices are incorrect online. Store refused to correct it. Staff refused to cancel my order or refund. Told me I could wait five days before taking it up with the bank. They were unapologetic. Talked in circles. Wasted an hour of my time when I thought pizza was on the way.

This Pizza Man consistently provides great customer service and on time delivery! I order from Pizza Man at least twice a month and the pizza has always been delivered by a friendly face and they haven’t been late once! After a few orders, the owner called me to follow up on the delivery and quality of food. Amazing customer service! I mean have you ever gotten a call from your pizza delivery place to make sure that you were happy with your pizza? The pizza is great value at a great price! I’m a BIG fan of pizza man!!!

Great place to get a fresh food. The owner himself manages the place so he takes pride in the way he makes the food. If your in this area try out this great Pizza shop you wont regret it.

In the age of Unilocal,is it really necessary to waste money and trees by canvassing my neighborhood with your obnoxious flyers? Of the flyers that are not immediately thrown into the trash by the annoyed residents that retrieve them from their front doors, mailboxes and such, the rest end up as litter in the gutters and blight on the street. Thank you for reinforcing my policy to never patronize a business that litters my street with flyers.
