Pix2Canvas is the oldest trademarked photos to canvas company in the business. In addition to photos on canvas, we also produce award-​winning art. Art that is shown in juried art competitions, and exhibitions. The love of art, and the visual aesthetic, combined with a mastery of the process, equals Pixel Power. In the beginning, back in 2000, when we started this business, the marketing challenge included making the market aware of canvas prints, called giclees (zhee — clays). The challenge now is educating the market on the real and important differences in canvas production. After more than a dozen years printing beautiful canvas art, Pix2Canvas knows something about pixels. In the beginning we created lots of scrap. Now that we have Pixel Power, life’s a beach. Our results are guaranteed.

Business Owner

Melvin Hale, PhD founded Pix2Canvas in 2000. Pix2canvas is the oldest brand in the photos on canvas industry, and that leadership shows itself in myriads of ways. Hale oversees all work by Pix2Canvas artisans to ensure that you get the best photo to canvas available.

Dr. Hale, who recently received his PhD at UCLA in Library Information Studies (with an emphasis in archival studies) is also an award-​winning digital artist who is also a four-​time winner of the California State Fair Fine Art Compeition. Hale was also named a Trendsetter in Art Business News. His work is also part of the Sandor Family Collection, listed by Art & Antiques as one of «America’s Top 100 Private Collections.»
