Nariya Thai

Never been inside the restaurant, but a few days ago I got it delivered and the food was DELICIOUS! Some of the best thai I’ve ever had and it was reasonably priced. I recommend the pad thai, green curry, and spring rolls!

Exceeded expectations! My Pad Thai with tofu was excellent. Flavorful, with a delicious balance of sweet, salt, and tangy. The noodles and tofu were perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the sauce. I found the prices to be reasonable-​$ 9.50 for an enormous portion. The ambiance here is casual yet relaxing. They have a large TV playing sports. Located on the second floor of the shopping plaza on Gower and Sunset.
My waitress was very sweet and attentive. All credit cards accepted!
Also, you get a free Singha beer when you check in on Unilocal :)

I ordered the same food I always eat here, Chinese broccoli with crispy pork, brown rice and Thai tea. The pork was not crispy and veggies over cooked. I thought they changed the cook. And they raised price, whoah! $ 18.53 total. Not worth to come back here. Never.

While the food is relatively good and reasonably priced at Nariya Thai I found the service to be almost non-​existent.
My boyfriend and I dropped in for a late lunch last week and despite there only being two other tables it took fifteen minutes for our waitress to pay any attention to us!
I ordered the Pad Thai Chicken (without Shrimp) and it was very tasty so no complaints there but I really resented having to leave a tip based on the lack of service and customer care by the staff.

Ordered for delivery. Food took almost 2 hours to arrive. When it finally arrived, none of the food was warm anymore. Also, the chicken didn’t taste fresh at all. It tasted like reheated leftovers. Yuck. This was a waste of time, money, and appetite. Never again.

First time here at Nariya Thai. Very warm atmosphere. Place was awesome. Food was fresh. We really like it.

Well, this place wasn’t too bad. Came here on a whim, as a result of the line being way too long at roscoes house of chicken and waffles. I noticed it had a score of a B posted on the window, which turned me off a little, and I was actually too afraid to order much food. The place looked semi-​dirty and not well kept.
The ambiance was nice and service was good. The upstairs patio was a nice place to relax, and is great for groups. Will I be back? Probably not. If they had an A score, I would consider.
With a free beer advertised on their Unilocal,I may give this place a second chance, but I’m definitely not in a rush to do so.

Just got off work and was super hungry so i called for pick up. Seriously your pad Thai hit the spot!

Soooooo yummy!!! I eat here several times a week because it close to my job. It has become my office kitchen. I love this place everything I have had was delicious. Be careful if your not big on spicy food make sure to get everything mild.

I don’t recommending coming here… This place has all the qualities of a good Thai restaurant… except the quality of the dishes. Which strikes me as so odd because I can tell that the people that run this place are Thai.
The ambiance is totally there, and the service is good. But the pad thai (which I always use to gauge a new Thai restaurant since it’s a standard and simple Thai dish) was so disappointing. It was a classic case of the noodle to bean sprout ratio because way off. It felt like I had to take out a lot of beansprouts just so I could get a decent bite of noodles. And the sauce had little to no depth to it. It just didn’t feel like it was worth the price.

Absolutely love this place ! Came here last night and now im here again ! Tip: Guys heres a place to take your ladies on a date, shell love it.

Great place, we eat here every time we are in Hollywood, great food, great price & the staff are really friendly. Authentic Thai food & will definitely be back for more on our next visit.

I tried Nariya Thai based on my friends recommendation. I was disappointed with my waitress as she didn’t understood English very well. I feared she might mess up the order but she didn’t. Thank god for that.
We ordered mint chicken noodles, fried rice, red curry. The food was good.
Also make sure you do Unilocal check-​in for one free Thai beer per table.

Meh. We ordered delivery and I got the Pad See Ew. By the time it arrived (over an hour later), it was basically one clump of noodles. The tofu was dry and other than that, it’s just simply meh.
We wanted to try a new place and this one delivered, but we won’t be ordering from here again.
A regrettable meal

I’d give you 5 stars if your servers spoke more English and weren’t so bitchy!
The food is great, this is always the boyfriend and I’s go to spot after a concert or whatever. We ordered hookah, it was hitting really hard and harsh! He took it back changed flavors took a while. By the time we got it it was the same thing. I just told the girl at this point I was over it! Just wanted the check, and she brought over someone who speaks better English! She kinda argued with us for a few! She said we had it for over 30 min, in all reality you had it for 30 min changing it! They ended up taking the hookah off, but they cleared anything left on the table like I had done something wrong! She just filled my waters and sodas!

I went to Nariya Thai on June 18^th, 2015 for dinner with a friend. We had a Living Social deal so we decided to take several entrees to make it as worth it as possible. We took the Teriyaki Chicken, the Thai BBQ chicken, and the Grilled Calamari Steak. We had the pleasant surprise to receive very large meals, which meant that we ended up taking a significant amount of food home.
The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived (It was about 10pm) so there was absolutely no wait to be seated. The service was decently fast and nice. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a strip mall on Sunset Boulevard so it can be relatively difficult to find. Unfortunately, the restaurant shares an extremely tight lot with other places, so parking can be challenging depending on the time of the day.
Overall, my experience with Nariya Thai was very positive and I would recommend it with, or without a groupon. Feel free to message me for any additional details that you may need!

(Dined/​Took-​Out 03÷21÷15 SA @ 6:00pm): Yeah… it’s Thai time in the heart of Hollywood!
I had an expiring Living Social deal ($ 40.00 food/​drinks for $ 20.00) to Nariya Thai and I had no food at home so the timing was perfect. I was always down for Thai food… like bacon! Have I found a new place to spend some Thai time!?:
Singha Beer On Tap ($ 5.00) — A close second to my favorite Thai beer, Chang, I rarely found this on tap so of course I ordered a pint while I waited. Smooth — chok dee!
Nariya Sampler ($ 10.95) — A wonderful assortment of chicken satay skewers, vegetable egg rolls, shrimp firecrackers and crispy wontons all served with a selection of dipping sauces and salad, this was a meal in itself. All was flavorfully-​packed with freshly-​prepared ingredients so each bite yielded a gentle hot steam. I especially liked the curry-​hinted moist chicken satay; so good the peanut sauce wasn’t needed.
Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp ($ 9.95) — Only negative when you ordered this to-​go was the loss of the hot pot presentation with flames and such. Otherwise, there were plenty of straw mushrooms and whole tail-​on shrimp at the bottom of the container. A couple sticks of lemongrass also landed at the bottom along with a bushel of zesty kaffir lime leaves. Lime juice was prevalent with chili peppers, and they provided extra chili sauce which I appreciated. I’ve had spicier but it was still a very good soup. The portion size was HUGE!
Pad Thai ($ 8.95) — This or Pad See Ewe were my go-​to dishes whenever I tried a new place because you couldn’t go wrong and it was hard to mess these up. Filled with chicken, shrimp, egg, tofu, green onions, brean sprouts, an over-​abundance of halved-​peanuts and the customary lime wedge, this was good not great. It could’ve been spicier, used more chicken, and I wished the shrimp was chopped instead of whole, but again a massive serving!
Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice ($ 9.50) — Jasmine rice with whole shrimp, whole cashew nuts, raisins, pineapple cubes, green onions, egg, carrots, cucumber slices, stewed tomatoes, the customary lime wedge, and an accent of yellow curry, this bountiful cornucopia of color and flavors danced in my mouth. I added chili sauce to spice it up more.
Service — High marks because they allowed me to take-​away my Living Social meal (usual stipulation was dine-​in only). I was greeted by a cute young woman (OMG…she later wore eyeglasses when she arrived with my packed-​up food!) followed by another kind young woman and then a man who may have been the manager. I had to «order» one dine-​in dish which arrived about five minutes later followed by the rest of my order about 20 minutes later. Everyone kicked arse here for accommodating me.
Parking (Free) — They shared an extremely tight private lot with several other businesses at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Gower St. I was lucky to have snagged a spot. Otherwise, there was metered and non-​metered parking on all surrounding streets as well as valet (rate unknown). It’s Hollywood, so good luck!
Atmosphere, décor, ambience — Located on the 2^nd Level of a somewhat beat-​up strip mall, the exterior appearance left much to be desired
. But once you scaled the stairs, you were in a very open yet crammed loft of booths, chairs and tables (outside patio seating, too) with views of the gritty streets of Hollywood. There was a tiny stage tucked into a corner for nightly live entertainment
. A quaint bar faced you once you entered
. There were the usual national pride decorations. Plenty of natural light came in through the myriad of large glass windows while electric light came from the ceiling. There were a couple TVs as well as background music.
Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-​shirt, boardshorts, and flip-​flops.
Overall, Nariya Thai intially won me over with their service. Then the food (tasty, large portions size, and affordable prices) added a few more feathers to their hat. And, they had a decent Happy Hour (M-​F 4pm-​7pm)! The parking was the only negative. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (total bill was around $ 48.00 before discount and tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Came in with a Groupon, at the end when trying to redeem was treated like I came with a EBT card. It’s hard for me to understand why some businesses go ok Groupon, loose about 50% in what seems like an attempt to either gain new customers or advertise and then fail to deliver!
Yes I purchased a Groupon and without it I probably would have never heard about or tried your restaurant. I would have just gone to the same place I always go to. :)
I hate leaving a bad review especially since it was mostly do to the young waitresses attitude at the end. I loved the food and portion sizes here! The ambiance was nice, oddly enough even though it seemed like our waitress was interested in hanging out with friends at a nearby table.
All went well until it was time to pay. As soon as I pulled out my Groupon the girls face changed. Before then I told her if I could order one last thing to go and then she could finish charging. While I was waiting she wrote up the check and then told me to make sure to tip her before the Groupon total, because that’s what it says. Uhm, excuse me, first off my order was still not complete. I will tip when my whole dining experience, including my to-​go order is complete. Secondly, just because I showed up with a Groupon doesn’t mean I was going to give you a $ 1 tip. Lastly, I find it extremely rude and unprofessional to point out that I should leave you a certain amount. What if I wanted to leave more or less! It’s called GRATUITY, no gratitude at all! I used to be a server myself so I do understand how tipping works. I never once rushed or pressured customers into leaving something. Some days I would walk away with a few bucks and some days I would walk out rich for the day! I get it, but it was rude and made me uncomfortable. My bf felt embarrassed because she walked up to us while we were waiting for the order by the door. He pulled out a $ 20 because he said she told us to and he was embarrassed. NO way, I took that out of his hand and told him it might work with other customers but not with us. Once I felt the pressure I made sure she knew how well it was «appreciated.»

LOVE THIS PLACE! Seriously I’ve been coming here for years and the service has always been amazing, the staff is great, very friendly, and I’ve never once had a bad time here.
I highly recommend the firecrackers! They are an absolute must! Lightly fried wonton shrimp with delicious sauce, you’ll be addicted I promise.
My go to dish is the Thai bbq pork with the lime sauce!
They also have incredible happy hour specials on food and drinks and an awesome hooka lounge and live bands on select nights.

My friend had a livingsocial deal with this place, which was great, because I’ve been wanting to try it out for a while.
First off, the staff is super friendly and the service is fantastic. Best service I’ve had at a restaurant in quite a while. They all work together very well.
It’s on the second floor of a little corner mall at the northeast corner of Sunset and Gower. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a parking place. There aren’t many, it might hold 20 cars, tops, and some spaces are reserved for specific stores. There are plenty of parking lots and meters around though if you can’t find any parking in the lot. At night, there’s valet parking.
OK, the food part: All of it was excellent, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I might also add that the prices are very reasonable.
My friend had the Tom Kha soup. He raved about it. He also had the Soulful Steamed fish, and he said it was also delicious.
I had the mixed veggies with chicken. It was cooked just right, veggies still crispy. It’s an ample portion. I could have made a meal of just that, but since I was at a Thai restaurant, I had to have some pad thai. It had shrimp and chicken in it, not very much though. I was a little disappointed with the pad thai overall, but it was still quite good.
I went there at 4:30pm and it was practically empty. THey get busier later in the evening. At 10:00pm, they have live music. That’s not something many places have anymore.
Also, they have a happy hour M-​F from 4−7pm, and 10pm-​Midnight on Tuesday and Wednesday. See attached pic for their happy hour specials. $ 3 draft beers are on the happy hour menu. Gotta’ love that deal!
For me, because the staff was so nice and efficient, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while.
This would be a very nice place to go and just have a calm relaxing dinner with a friend. They have an outdoor area that’s really pleasant. I highly recommend it.
I haven’t been there later at night when they have the live music, but I do intend to go back and catch some tunes sometime. That’s for sure.

La mezcla de naturales y saludables ingredientes son el producto de los platos que se ofrecen en el menú, entre ellos, auténtica comida con curry, platos de fideos, mariscos, platos vegetarianos y deliciosos postres. Inicié mi viaje culinario bastante indecisa que ordenar, debido a que todo resultaba atractivo — marinado de costilla de res en tiras, platos que fusionan curry rojo tradicional con especies exóticas con berenjenas y botes de bambú cocidos a fuego lento, arroz jazmín, camarones salteados, castañas de cajú, piña y arroz frito con camarones, son solo unos ejemplos.
Finalmente decididos, ordenamos una de sus famosas sopas Tom Kha (media porción) picante lemongras, leche de coco, champiñones, chiles y pollo (en este caso debido a mi alergia a los camarones). y el Naral Fried Rice, carne, arroz jazmín, zanahorias, huevo y guizantesse. Como bebida opté por agua de coco, servido en el coco original que luego devoré como postre. Claro está, que ese no sería el único postre, no sin antes probar los deliciosos plátanos fritos ligeramente humedecidos en mantequilla de coco con helado frito de vainilla. Cada plato era una fiesta para mi paladar.
Excelente comida, muy buen servicio. Los huéspedes pueden permanecer en un comedor refrescado con follaje verde y/​o disfrutar dentro del lugar de música en vivo durante ciertos días de la semana.
