Mailboxes & More 24/7

Went here during the fall of 2015. It was horrible. Kind but untrained staff. Over 80 degrees outside and no AC with the sun beating in the window. More expensive than the UPS store at Motor and Venice but more convenient location for me. 45 minutes to ALMOST ship 2 packages. Had to refund the 2^nd because they ran out of labels and didn’t know where to find more or how to load the machine. 1^st package did not ship out the day they said it would so it arrived late. Ugh — could walk there but naaah.

Mailboxes & More is a small local business with a charming family run operation feel. They offer lots of services that I have not used. To date I have only used this place to drop off packages for UPS, and to attempt to mail a box to China.
This review is based solely on that last shipping experience.
Went there because it is within walking distance of my place. Was shipping a small box to China for the first time and wanted to make sure I did it right. Woman working there had never shipped anything internationally which is fine… until I had to literally help her use their
software to input the right information into the proper fields. Whole process took about 20 minutes trying to figure it out. We did finally get it, she printed my label, charged me the $ 27 and I departed.
About 30 minutes after I left she called me to let me know that they actually can’t ship boxes internationally? The label was still valid and already in the UPS system though… She gave the box to me and I drove it over to the post office on motor and dropped it off there.
After the fact, I went online and discovered I could have done the whole thing myself on the USPS website for $ 6 less than they charged me at Mailboxes & More. I went there with the hope/​understanding that I would be paying slightly more than the actual cost in order to have knowledgeable service, unfortunately this I did not receive.
Do yourself a favor, print the labels yourself on the USPS website at home and just drop them off there. It really isn’t very difficult to do, and worth saving yourself the time and $.

Luwanda, the owner, is awesome. She helped me ship skis across country. Decent price via FedEx. Innovative packaging solution. I left feeling confident my skis would get safely where they need to go and that I paid a fair price. Will definitely return.

I found this business on Unilocal when I needed some work papers notarized at the last minute and all the reviews were spot on! This is a charming family-​run business and I was helped immediately. The staff was very professional and my charge was only $ 10! Niice!!! I was literally in and out within 15 minutes!
I do make an effort to support small business and Im grateful to have found this place! If you are in need for professional services, try it out! Unilocal comes to the rescue once again!!!

Fantastic and quick service! LaWanda was so helpful and friendly when I had to fax some papers. Plus, they are the cheapest rate for faxing: only $ 1 per page and the cover sheet is free!
The parking lot is rather small, so if you can’t find a spot, one can probably be found on the street (for free).

I went there because it is walking distance to my place. Dont go there for printing. I went there to print my cv transcripts and one page writing sample. I ended up paying 3,6 dolars.
First the computer did not open my word file. So stuff came and converted it to open office and printed. Of course format was not good it was changed as well. So I had to print twice. She charged me for her mistake. That was stupid but I did not want to argue for 3 dollars. Printing quality was very bad. Ink was not thick. It was hard to read the things.
And this girl working there she was texting and talking on phone all the time not unprofessional. She tried to help me with converting but I did not like the quality it is just a white black print. not a big deal.
I ended up going to Westwood to print again and I just paid 65 cents.

Great Service! Since it was Christmas Eve, we called ahead to make sure that they were open and told them we needed notary service. When we got there, the notary book was already out and ready to go on the counter. As others have stated, their location is VERY easy to miss. We had to double back as the building is set back from the street and their sign blends in with the store front (white). They gave us their Unilocal discount (woohoo!). In and out, quick and easy.

The lady is so nice. And it is very cheap!

Fast, Friendly, and Efficient

I love this business! Judy is so helpful and kind. She’s also given me very sound advice about mailing international and other shipping-​related issues. I get an e-​mail whenever there’s something in my mailbox. Awesome!

This place is easy to miss — off Overland. There is barely a parking lot and some stand alone signs that direct you in. I admit I was wary when I saw the place — nothing more than a store front with signs on the windows.
But once I walked in, LaWanda was super friendly and helpful. I was struggling with an international package, and she patiently grabbed all the stuff that I needed. When it came to mailing, she was very honest with me that if I left it with her, it would go out at 3:30pm (it was about noon) but that I could go to the post office right down the street if I wanted.
Now there have been times when I don’t trust a mail center, so I will make the effort to drop off a package at a USPS myself. But I totally trusted her and didn’t think twice about leaving it (and it made it there just fine, on time).
Don’t let the store front deter you. This is a legit mail center.

They were friendly and helpful, and there was no line.
One thing, the photo is not current– the one currently posted looks as if the store were in the mini-​mall right on the corner of Overland and Palms.
I thought it had closed bc I never saw it as I was driving by.

I have a box here and I love it. I met the Owner and was immediately pleased to know that she would handle all my needs with a personal touch. As a small business trying to maintain a professional image, I am equally pleased when I deal with like minded business owners. The owner can be a little curt, but she tells you the truth and is very approachable. The place is clean, after-​hours access is safe and professional, and I don’t get nickle-​and-​dimed with insignificant charges. I even noticed the owner pick up the entire tab for a customer who had trouble paying! WOW! This place seems to be a very community oriented spot.
My motto is to try it and see for yourself! I have had nothing but good experiences with this business, the owner, and her daughter are always very responsive and helpful and informative. I met a couple of other business prospects there on one occasion and the owner didn’t mind me holding an impromptu meeting for over an hour inside the business. She even allowed me to use the computer free of charge to look up a website and address!
Generally speaking, the main mailbox service is a great way to seperate your business mail, or get privacy. I have had PMB’s for years with the UPS Store, Beverly Hills United Mailboxes, and up until recently, US ²⁴⁄₇ just up the street, and none compared to the value I receive here. I even received professional Design and Printing of my Business Cards from their partner company A3Arts (

This place is something special – the owner, LaWanda, will go out of her way to help get your things packed to ship, and work to find the best possible price for you. She’s amazing! And she cares too – when I go back in, she asks me about things that we talked about the time before – wow! I highly recommend this place if you want great service at reasonable prices!

So much more! After going to the unfriendly place near my place, I followed a neighbor’s advice and came here. LaWanda is SO friendly, helpful, and pleasant, I really can’t imagine going anywhere else again!
She helped me package a difficult eBay item that I sold, was so nice to me and helpful all the while. She found a box that she could recycle and use, so I didn’t have to pay extra for it, and even helped price out in the most cost effective way possible, how to ship my item.
Turns out she’s also a nurse, so no wonder she’s so friendly! She knew everyone that walked in that door and greeted them by name. It was cool; the only other place I’ve seen that around here is Victor’s Meat and Deli. Great prices, too, and with service like hers, I will definitely return!
