Gotta say first time here GHETTO! … But I’m not giving my five stars to this facility I’m giving 5 stars to ALAN GARCIA who took good care of us his service is great! Thanks man for caring and keeping an eye on us your Hustle is great! Once again Thanks!

If anyone is coming here be prepared to wait about an hour and a half to get checked in and then be prepared to wait about another 4 hours for the doctor to see you and then another 5 for them to tell you your results then another 3 for them to tell you your fine go home.
I been here since 6 am it is now 4 pm and from the looks of it were not leaving this place anytime soon…

Parking is ok, depends on the time. Lines are long but again depends which department.

Seriously it’s 11 am my mother’s appointment was at 9am still has not been seen worst hospital ever, they said there is no guarantee that we will be out before 1pm this is a complete joke, they didn’t open 2 Fridays so they are short on doctors ridiculous forrals

My mom comes here so I’m always with her, we never have any problems other than appointment times. Most departments here are always behind on keeping schedule with appointments so there’s never a point to rush or worry of being late no one gets called when they’re supposed to.
But other than that this is a clean friendly hospital that does everything it can to help you. Mom been coming here for years and had plenty of surgeries and wouldn’t want to come anywhere else.

So I was reading some of the reviews for this place and decided to leave my own. Maybe it’s just me or maybe I’ve just been really lucky whenever I’ve come to this place but I’ve been here a total of 3 times and I had great experiences each time. The first time I sliced my leg open and I waited about 10 minutes before they gave me a bed and about another hour for the kind student to stitch me up. The second time I came here I waited under 30 minutes, I had a rash all over my body. They gave me Benadryl and prescribed some meds and also set me up with a low cost specialist. The third time I came here I had kidney pain and a fever that just kept coming back. I explained to them that my kidney was hurting and I’d had this fever that would go away then come back for a few days. They admitted me and immediately gave me an IV and some meds to bring the fever down, I immediately felt better but told the doctor to give it a minute my fever would be coming back as it has been. They didn’t have any available beds at the time i arrived so I was sitting in this area for IV’s and was freezing so the staff kindly gave me a blanket. A while later the doctor came to check on me and like clockwork my fever returned. They finally gave me a bed and some real pain meds which knocked me out cold for an hour which was something I really needed. However I woke up an hour later in pain, crying and frustrated because I was so tired but couldn’t sleep, hadn’t really slept for a few days prior to my visit to the E.R. I screamed at the poor doctor out of frustration «I’m so tired, I just want to sleep why can’t i sleep!!! what is wrong with me???» Then they gave me some morphine and from there I drifted in and out of consciousness for a few hours then they told me they were going to admit me into the actual hospital which I spent the next week under 24 hours observation, had multiple blood tests, X-​Rays, Ultrasounds and an MRI done. According to all the x rays ultra sounds and MRI I had done I was a perfectly healthy 26 year old and they never did find out what was the reason behind the Kidney pain and I haven’t had any pain or issue since but if I ever did, I’d definitely come back here.

My sister is in this Hospital now for brain cancer. she was air lift to UC LA before for severe pain but they miss diagnose it and send her home after 2 week

I was here a few years ago because I was suicidal and they treated me horribly, they don’t have experience in working with people who has developmental disabilities.

I was experiencing severe anxiety and I had to go to the ER instantaneously. I have no medical insurance, so I kind of, sort of had to come here. Upon entering the facility I was greeted by a not-​so-​friendly security guard that asked me to put my purse on the basket for inspection. I didn’t like the way she asked me, but whatever. When I pass through the inspection, I get in line and I try to check in. By the time it is my turn, the guy in the check in area asks if I had seen the «nurse» already? I said, «No» — «Well he’s over there ma’am» — in a very smart-​assy attitude. Just made me feel super uncomfortable on top of the fact that I was already having anxiety issues.
When I approached the so called «nurse» — I swear the only reason why I say nurse in quotations is because he only had a stethoscope around his neck, and had a writing pad… like okay? With amazon I can pass off as a nurse too. He asked me what was the purpose of my visit. I said I am having chest and left arm pain. He then gave me this piece of paper that was like gibberish to me, and told me to give it to the first check out guy. I give it to the first check out guy, and he says to me again, «Ma’am, she can help you over here» — again with that nasty tone.
The lady who checked me in took about 10 minutes to just out my name is birthdate, apparently she can only type about 3 words a minute. I was told to go to room #7 — which is apparent super urgent room. I kid you not, there were probably 10 bums sleeping in that specialized room, nothing against bums but I felt totally intimidated. My anxiety got worse.
There was only 1 nurse looking at evaluations at the time. The other one, I kid you not was on the computer playing solitaire! She wasn’t doing anything! I don’t know if she was on her break, but it looks unprofessional. Another nurse, who looked and sounded Hispanic with a Mexican accent, was taking blood pressure for the patients. Boy, was she rude to one Hispanic lady, who asked her a question in Spanish and the nurse told her, «sorry ma’am I don’t speak Spanish!» Lol really? You were just speaking Spanish to the other patient!
I waited for about 30 minutes when the actual nurse talked to me and asked me, «so what brings you here?» I said, «well I am experiencing Pain in my left arm, left leg, and my chest is tight! Also my left foot is starting to swell!» — she looked at my foot for a couple of seconds and said «okay we are going to give you an EKG» (heart exam) — I’ll tell you this — the only person that gave me a caring attitude was the EKG examiner. She was kind, thoughtful, and personable. After my EKG was performed the first nurse (the one that looked at my swollen foot) told me she was going to evaluate the results and tell them to me soon. I agreed. After another 30 minutes, she asks me to sit at her desk and says that my EKG came out normal. And then I asked, «so there is absolutely nothing wrong with my EKG?» — and she said «your EKG is okay.» — the word OKAY made me nervous. I asked again, what does «okay» mean? Why not superb? And she says «well there is nothing wrong with your heart we just don’t know why your feet are swollen» LOL I was done. Obviously not Sherlock. I decided to leave, and not spend the entire night there.
I really don’t think that this hospital gives a rats ass about their patients. Just the worst experience I have ever experienced. I wish I had good insurance so that I can go to a good hospital and not deal with all this mess! I really don’t recommend going here, there is always drama!

Avoid at all cost unless you want to die in the waiting room! Worst hospital ever and the waiting period is ridiculous! 12 hours just to get a bed and to see a doctor! Go to another hospital and avoid this one! This isn’t the only hospital that takes medical!

If you’ve got a lot of patience & are willing to wait for medical attention then this hospital’s got everything you need. There are lots of student physicians but sometimes I feel like they’re so much more helpful, genuine, & really pay attention to their patients. I don’t recommend using the pharmacy in the OPD building though. I’ve went there 3 times & if it wasn’t for me being in a rush or really sick I would’ve waited to speak with a manager to complain. Make sure to arrive early if you drive because parking is horrific & bring snacks because you’ll most likely be there for at least a half an hour on a slow day even if it’s just to drop off a prescription.

Horrible place!!! My mother got here at 6A. M It is now 6:57 P.M. And she still hasn’t seen a doctor!

I came in to urgent care thinking it would be a little less wait then the emergency room. The urgent care nurse informed me for my symptoms I need to get treated @ ER. For the past three days I had this massive headache & stomach cramps by my belly button. Haven’t slept in almost 3 days, so, I headed to ER. They checked me in took blood & urine samples. Was told to wait to see a doctor. About 2 hours letter I was called to the admin window. They asked for my insurance I informed them I have medical however, my medical is pending due to some errors.
Well ever since then I have been sitting here for 11 hours, and yet, I have not seen a Doctor. My head feels like it’s about explore my stomach is boated. So helpless people came & left. Nurses have change shift its really cold. I feel humiliated on top of my headache.
My interpret-​ion of the nurses It’s as if they want me to leave. What choice do I have thy make apparent.
How I ended up here you ask? I lost my job of 14 years a year ago. I couldn’t afford cobra.

For a county facility it is a pretty good facility. The building and the interior is fairly new and they do a great job of keeping it clean. The staff from the security guards to the nurses are all fairly helpful.
Don’t expect 5 star service here but most will get the job done. They might not all do it with a «can do» attitude with a huge smile on their face but they are getting it done.
For a public facility they have the capacity to treat a large amount of cases especially if you are low income, with medical, or homeless.
Do expect to wait when you come here though. There will be a lot of people waiting to be serviced and it is a ‘first come first serve basis” There will be a lot of steps before you are seen by the right doctor.
Take my experience for instance. I accompanied my girlfriend to find a doctor to attend to her ear problem. It reached the point where it was bad enough to seek out immediate attention so we went straight to the ER. That was probably not the smartest thing to do. By the time we were seen by a doctor they had us rescheduled for another appointment. Probably because it wasn’t a huge emergency.
Anyway we know better now. There is an urgent care area up stairs on the 2^nd floor as well. Come here if you have issues that aren’t life threatening. Like you’ll probably live for the next 3 months or something.
There is designated free parking for all visitors and patients in Lot 9 which connects to the hospital via bridge on the 3^rd floor.
Tips:
Come early (like 8 in the morning)
Be prepared to play the waiting game (camp out if you must)
Be prepared to be called multiple times and wait indefinite times in between
Don’t expect to have your problem solved immediately
Do expect a lot of people
Do expect that you will be sitting next to someone that hasn’t showered in weeks (good idea to bring some febreeze and a nose mask)

My son was transported here from an accident scene. His transportation was in a helicopter. The doctors that checked him out were great but when it comes down to personal property… Because the patient is not fully conscious they think its ok to take their belongings! My son was admitted there, had his drivers license in his WALLET… And his cell. To my surprise… His cell and drivers license were returned but not his wallet. I didnt request it the day of the visit, thinking it could of been in the car at the time of accident. I started making phone calls and ambulance service had placed it in his pocket. Called fire department and they investigated and the person who transported him to the hospital did state it was with him at the time of arrival at the hospital. So to make a long story short… my sons wallet is lingering somewhere in the hospital or was stolen there!!! It is so sad to see people stealing! He had his school id inside, his $ 92.00 cash and a gift card. Not much right? But dont steal from an 18 year old or anyone! And to top it off they dont even document the wallet being in his posesion. This situacion is very upsetting!!! I will go in and request step by step as to my sons arrival to try to trace it down and its not about the content in his wallet, its more of the action that was done about not returning it in his personal belongings! We need to speak up so they dont continue doing this!!! One thing I am grateful for is that my son is Alive!!! That same day… There was a patient who was being discharged but couldn’t leave because his wallet was missing! He was aware he did arrive with it at the hospital! Hours later … It was found and given to the patient!!! Unbelievable!

Just a simple pain meds request they couldn’t give because their system was too slow and there’s no doctor to approve it!!!
If you have insurance stay away from this hospital.

I had a friend break his neck and back in a snowboarding accident. This is where he got fixed up. The hospital is nice enough despite the metal detectors when you go in. I guess they had a problem with people coming by to «finish the job». It was weird. But it’s Los Angeles and you know what they say… «when in Naples!» Anyway, they fixed him up right. He can walk and talk and use his little pecker, so in that regard they did great. I had to subtract one star because after all his surgeries he’s still polish.

It is okay. Good for a lot of things.
But the food is YUCK!!!
I guess they hate their patients.
The only thing that look good is junk food, people come by and sell us candies, chips and sodas.
Plus they give out and share your private info to others.
Long wait to see a specialist. I waited from 8am to 2pm, and finally saw the specialist. And the specialist has the nerve to get mad at me for leaving.

I’m writing this review the night before I go into surgery. I was transferred here Friday night from Norwalk Community Hospital after a four day stay there. I was diagnosed with a huge 22 mm kidney stone that’s stuck in my ureter with a ballooned right kidney called hydroponosis. Imagine a pistachio stuck in a straw backing up all fluid into the kidney… Very very painful!
Since staying here I have been treated very well. Nurse Michelle has been a blessing to me. She shows concern and true sincerity. She noticed I was crying due to the pain and called my Dr right away and had extra pain meds approved and have it to me right away and calmed my nerves and pain. She was checking on me making sure I was ok. It made me feel great knowing I had her there for me. My team of Dr’s so far have been awesome and took the time to really make sure I understood what was going on and made sure I has enough pain meds and I felt comfortable. This is a new hospital and my private room is amazing. I even have my own desktop with wifi in my room. The shower very clean and the water pressure was strong and the water hot! It was better then the one at home. It really feels like I’m staying in a resort.
I recommend this hospital and it’s staff to everyone. I’ll write my other review after surgery. But so far so good! :)

Loved my visit here. The wait wasn’t long; however, I did have an appointment before walking in. The waiting room was impeccably clean and organized. The receptionists were extremely helpful and genuinely nice.
These 5 stars are more so for my physical therapist, Brad. He was very warm and charismatic. Made me feel extremely comfortable during the tests he was running. Also, he was extremely informative and answered every single question I bombarded him with.
