Okay, i been eating from kyochon since they opened.
And, this is my first time posting on Unilocal because im so angry.
Yes, its good but their service is horrible.
I mostly order by delivery. This is list of stuff happened to me so often.
1. They charge you wrong.
2. They replace your drink with something else when you ordered spirit
3. They took my order and never came. (happened multiple time)
4. When they answer calls, you can hear them cursing in korean.
today, i ordered 1 large wings 1 med wings and 2 sprite
They told me it would take 30 minute or so.
I waited and waited but realized they closed the store.
They took my order and told me to wait. they didnt even bother telling me if they are closing.
why would you take the order if not able to deliver.
So, now im left hungry. and angry.

I love the food here. Seriously writing this review is seriously making me salivate. Unfortunately, the service here is not the best. Our waiter asked us three times what drinks we wanted. We just wanted water. Then we ordered our sampler, and it didn’t even come with the fries! We asked about it and they said its on its way. But we got the fries when we were pretty much done with the chicken! The waiters not once asked us how we were doing, in fact it seemed like they were trying to avoid eye contact with everyone that was dining. It took them forever to notice we were done with our food! They didn’t even refill our water not once. Our water cups were empty for almost half of the time we spent there. I’m posting a photo of our finished meal and water, that just sat there like that for 15 minutes before we had to flag someone down.
You can get delicious chicken anywhere. We go out to a restaurant and pay extra tip FOR the service. Which I was very unhappy with here at KyoChon.

If you talk about the Fried chicken wings, definitely no one can defeat this place. But, some things are forgotten. Maybe, they focus developing more on their wing and forgot some the dishes. It’s time to improve the rest.

Unfazed by our less then stellar experience at Dok Dok, we decided to give this place a try. Of course, being the man of the household, I had to go out on a food run… at least the weather was clear and crisp =)
We ordered a mix of soy garlic wings & spicy wings. The spicy wings were a hit — crazy spicy, but with a good amount of savory (?black bean paste) mixed in as well. The soy garlic was equally well received — definitely enjoyed the garlic which was not too overpowering.
The most interesting part of the experience was the convenience packs they give you — it’s a pair of chopsticks, a napkin, and a single plastic glove — Michael Jackson style, perhaps? The unused chopsticks makes me think they forgot to include pickled radishes. But we enjoyed our dining experience nonetheless, so whatevs.
Now if they could include their current crispy wings with the sweet, savory, and highly intoxicating red sauce from Gogi House (Santa Clarita), this would be a 6-​star experience!
Final pro tip: You will probably have to pay $ 2 for «valet» in their tiny parking lot. Unless you want to circle like crazy just to find street parking

We got the combo wings which is honey wings, spicy wings and kychon wings. My favorite is the honey wings! Soooo good!

I recommend getting half & half of their soy/​spicy flavors.
I liked that the batter isn’t too thick.
1 star off cuz i thought the place was too loud. I wish they don’t blast music so loud.

Love the chicken, love the seasoning, love the dipping sauces, especially the apple dipping sauce!
We ordered the 8 wing sampler, half each with garlic and honey. Also ordered a pot of garlic chicken wings and drumsticks with potato wedges to share w/​a party of four.
The radishes were awesome!

My friends RAVED about this place so I was excited to give it a shot. Saturday night — understandably crowded, but as a group of 3 we only waited about 15 minutes. The parking lot is just awful, so find street parking or valet at another plaza if you can. The interior is small but it’s my understanding that this place functions mainly as a take-​out restaurant.
We got an order of honey wings and soy wings (20 total). Both had a good crunch, although I like the honey flavor a liiiittle more. They’re also surprisingly filling and the honey wings were significantly larger than the soy, though I don’t know if that was just with our order. The cost ends up being not much more than if you went to Wingstop and paid regular price. I’d come back!

I really like the food here (wish there was a location near Monterey Park… keep that place in mind if you are planning on expanding)
My only disappointment is my choice of order, but it’s due to confusion on my part. So here is what happened…
I ordered the #2 sample eight soy garlic wings +potato wedges.
The food is good and fresh, love the potato wedges, but damn when they mean sample they really mean sample. That means the meat are smaller in size than the ones in the regular order.(Probably so you can get a feel of the different flavors and etc?) I’m not entirely satisfied with my order but hey I take it as a learning experience and will order the regular next time!!!
Since I went with my sister and cousin’s they let me tried their honey wings and spicy drum stick. Because I had some of their food that’s why I was kicking myself «Why didn’t I order that?!».
The honey wings are so good. I thought the sweet to salty ratio would be on the sweeter sides but nope it was perfect!
As for the spicy drumstick, my mouth was on fire, tears welled up at the corner of my eyes from the spice and heat of the flavor. But I pushed on and finished it, because it’s really good. It was hot and juicy. Though I must say it took me 2 attempts to finish my drum maybe because I can’t handle spicy food. I can’t say I wasn’t warn because the waiter literally warned us when we placed the order, which was funny.
Overall, I enjoyed the food and I would love to come back… soon

What can I say about KyoChon? I’ve been coming here since 4 years ago, when they used to have only a few sittings but now I have to say I’m definitely in love with their new renovation. You only have a few choices here when it comes to parking, you can either look for street parking which is pretty much impossible or use their Valet parking. I would suggest to just use valet because it’s $ 2 and definitely save you a lot of time and effort to drive around looking for street parking.
If you like chicken, this is definitely the place for you. I’ve tried many items on their menu (which is less than 10 lol) but I always end up coming back to their «Signature Wings» it comes with half garlic and half spicy. You can never go wrong with that, their chicken is cooked to perfection, the seasoning is top notch. I personally prefer the spicy one because it is not like the American BBQ wings, it definitely is an American Asian Fusion Style. For two people I would suggest getting the large one because it comes with 24 wings/​drumsticks, and usually they do give you a few more extra.
This place can be a little pricey, I order the large signature wings and came out to almost $ 30 but I just say it is definitely worth it. What’s great is if you can’t finish it taste even better the next day when you microwave it. How do I know? because I’ve done that many times, so I don’t mind getting the larger portion because I can still enjoy it the next day. I love how when you eat there they give you side of Reddish. It definitely adds a pop to their chicken, I am so in love with their reddish, even though the smell can be a little hard to accept but the taste overpower the scent anytime.
Service is pretty decent, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We sat down pretty quick and it was a pretty packed day so that was definitely the highlight of my night.
Overall, 5 stars for service, 4 stars for food/​drinks, 5 stars for environment and decoration and 5 stars for cleanliness. Will definitely come back again whenever I’m craving for some Wings.

Came to KyoChon for a New Year’s eve dinner with friends. I don’t know if it was the holiday Friday night, the busy plaza, but the restaurant was crowded. We were given a buzzer and waited outside; eventually, after 30 minutes we were seated. It was another 15 minutes before someone took our order, since there was only one server taking care of the dine-​in customers while the other servers took care of the take out orders.
Ordered the sampler platter to try a little bit of everything and the potato wedges. Once we ordered, the food came quickly. I was in chicken wing heaven. Although all the chicken wings tasted delicious, especially the Soy Garlic and the Honey Chicken, the most flavorful (and my favorite) was the Spicy Chicken. The potato wedges were also perfect.
Located in K-​Town, so parking is a challenge. The restaurant itself has a very modern ambience to it.

I’m a huge fan of fried chicken, but man, KyoChon’s Korean Fried Chicken is delicious!
I’m a fan of the Soy Garlic and the Honey chicken. Fair warning: the spicy is REALLY spicy. I would say I have a fairly high tolerance for spicy food but I think that their spicy wings are near inedible due to the heat that’s packed on them.
Options come with the wings alone, or wings and potato wedges (also yummy!) or variations/​buckets of wings.
The restaurant isn’t very large and can seat a decent amount of people but it does seem like this place is very popular. Luckily, we didn’t have to wait very long.
A great thing about this place is that on weekends it is opened until 2AM! And they have a delivery service, which is deadly in my opinon. :)

OMG. So delicious. Best place to go after a night out because they’re open late! And the chicken wings?! OMG! OMG! It’s all about the Soy Garlic Chicken Wings!!! They’re so addicted. They’re sweet, garlicky, juicy and crunchy! Everything you want in a wing. The honey ones are pretty good too and so are the hot ones but those are a bit too spicy. Also, you must get the radishes! Amazing and also addictive! The broccoli salad is another favorite. This place gets super packed and the parking lot is slammed. I recommend doing take out because it’s mostly always packed, even at midnight.

As one of the original Korean fried chicken chains that expanded quickly, I guess they’re the standard for KFC, but they have tough local competition within Ktown LA.
This is more of a take out spot than sit down restaurant, there’s not a lot of seating at all and it fills up fast. Order online, save yourself some trouble. We did manage to get seating and service was okay, the staff scrambling to deal with take out orders most of the time.
There’s five types of wings, for two people we ordered the 15 wing combo with fries to try all the flavors and requested more drummettes than wings. The standouts were the spicy and sweet one, which was pretty spicy, and the honey wings. The soy one and sal sal chicken strips were okay. Our drummettes were also over battered, with the batter coming off pretty thick yet crunchy. Think I could almost feel my body struggling with all that fried batter afterwards. Potato wedge fries are the same tasting ones you find at an American KFC.
Salad with apple dressing was tasty, but pretty sweet if you’re not used to Asian or Japanese style salad dressing.
Worth a try to check out the original, I’m a bigger fan of OB Bear instead.

KyoChon is one of the largest South Korean fried chicken chains in the world, so I would say a glorified version of Popeye’s? The Korean seasonings make it a bit more unique, but I can’t think of an adequate comparison at the moment.
After eating healthy for a week or so, I like to give myself a cheat day… so I decided one day to eat here because it looked pretty cool from the outside and I could always go for some fried chicken. For $ 9, I ordered a 10 pc Half & Half (Soy Garlic/​Hot and Sweet) Wings and shared with a few friends. I have to say it wasn’t bad. The service was fast and smiling and the portion was generous. It wasn’t too greasy and very tasty.
Definitely worth going to if you want to grab a quick bite, but you can probably find better fried chicken elsewhere. Not to say it’s bad, but I am always down to explore other options out there.

Great place we stopped by to get a snack. $ 9 for 8 pieces of wings; we got the honey flavor and sweet and hot flavor, split. It also comes with a bowl of radish. It didn’t take long for our hot and freshly fried wings to come out. I loved the crunchy breaded honey wings, while the sweet and hot wings challenged my taste buds. We were actually quite above satisfied at the end of our meal. All this took less than 40 mins.

The flavor of these wings are amazing. Soy garlic chicken wings is SOOO flavorful and yummy!
It’s a bit pricey but I really can’t get enough, really good wings! I am a huge fan. Got to-​go I didn’t dine in, very limited seating.
Wings were still good and pack with flavor as it made the trip back to my office.

THE BEST WINGS… EVER!!!
I am not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars, but it’s a solid 5 stars in my book! I’ve been to numerous chicken places in k-​town and, to be honest, these wings are really hard to beat!
The KyoChon wings are always the perfect level of crispiness and the sauces on these wings are mind-​blowingly delicious! I normally get a half-​half portion because I love both the soy garlic and the spicy flavors!
The honey wings have a bit more batter on them than the KyoChon wings, but they are great nonetheless. These wings are coated with a sweet honey sauce.
These wings are absolutely delicious and I have been a fan of KyoChon since I first tried these wings in 2009!
Note:
1. The spicy wings are extremely spicy and are a MUST for fans of spicy foods! (You can no longer get the spicy sauce on the side…)
2. They don’t serve beer here :-(

I came with high hopes, I left disappointed.
First, let me say that I don’t understand the hype. Are they good wings? Not even. They are meh. Not bad, not good. Are the sauces good? Meh, and also they won’t give you extra of the hot one FYI.
Is the service good? Meh. They act like they are doing you a favor. I mean… why? It’s just wings and not even that good.
Why I give them 3 stars? Because of its uniqueness and serving style. The limited flavors they have are good and the hot wings have that «not too spicy but just right» feel. Don’t get me wrong, the flavor is there, it’s just not what everyone says it is

So we’ve been here several times before and I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place before. Anyways, if you’re a garlic lover this is a must. They have these amazing garlic soy chicken wings that are cooked to perfection each time. They have a very limited menu, but let’s face it no one else goes here to order other things. If it wasn’t for the parking issues I’d give this place 4 stars.
Pro’s: chicken wings are awesome! The staff is friendly. They offer delivery within the area. Open late weekends.
Con’s: parking is ridiculous. They have a lot that’s only for valet parking. So everyone else has to park on the side street and walk. We all know how crazy it is to find street parking in LA! The restaurant itself is tiny so be prepared to wait for a table.
