Julie Shishino Physical Therapy

Julie is a real healer, while she knows everything super scientifically, she also has an innate ability to just know what to treat. I have sent Center IMT many referrals because they really help, especially issues that other people seem unable to.
The front desk while friendly, can be confused and I did have a really horrible time with their billing person– BE VERY SURE about your insurance and don’t trust what is told to you, but do your own diligence because if they make a mistake they will come after YOU for the difference.
But that has no bearing on Julie, or Curt, or any of the really amazing practitioners at the center. I definitely recommend their care and expertise.

My first time at centerIMT in L.A. with Julie Shishino was what got me into Integrative Manual Therapy. Up until then I had taken only a few classes in this method of physical therapy developed by Sharon Giammatteo, PT PhD. I had been dealing with a chronic Right calf cramp that stopped my running for half a year. I was only able to run 5 minutes and then had to stop due to severe cramping. On my first treatmet, Julie put her hands on my legs and said «arterial». Basically in less than 1 minute she knew what my body needed to fix up.
I had a 2 hour treatment that day and I was able to run without problems the next day. Since that first day, Julie has helped me keep running and living painfree and healthily. Being a physical therapist in San Diego, I now travel 2 hours every 6 weeks for treatment and the changes in my health and function are greatly improved. She has been a mentor and friend and I value her help with my more difficult patients.
I recommend Julie to my friends, family and patients who have difficult and chronic conditions.
