Dr. Ray and staff rock! I had met with a few Orthodontists before coming into Playa Vista Orthodontics and this was by far my best experience. Dr Ray is extremely knowledgeable, caring and personable which I have come to find is rare in itself. They have competitive pricing and accept all insurance providers. Most importantly it is clear Dr. Ray is versed in today’s best practices and techniques, there is no doubt I am in good hands.
I’m about 6 months into treatment and already seeing great results, I couldn’t be happier!

I saw Dr. Ray for a consultation. She is extremely pleasant, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. I left my appt with peace of mind and a clear understanding of my treatment options.
Her staff is friendly and helpful too. There was a lot of street parking around the building, or there is a parking lot in the building (rates are really cheap compared to all the other medical buildings I’ve been to).

I visited Dr Ray for a quote for Invisalign and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had braces when I was younger and need minor adjustments. Dr Ray was very informative and gave me a clear idea of what to expect with the process. The staff was very professional. Thanks again for your help!

Love the staff & this location! My daughter got her braces put on today by Dr. Ray, who is very friendly, encouraging, and super competent. Also, the very friendly, encouraging and highly capable, Blanca, assisted. On a day that could possibly frighten teens getting braces, my family’s experience today was filled with kindness, patience and excitement. My daughter, husband and I are grateful for this amazing staff & team!!!

(1) I started off with Dr. Luther and was unilaterraly changed to Dr. Byas who, according to Sylvia, has different treatment plans; (2) three years after removing my braces the first time, my complaints to Sylvia that one tooth was moving were ignored; (3) after a year of movement, braces were put back on because as Dr. Byas said, «What the nurse (Sylvia) says goes»; (4) two years later when my braces were removed the second time, the overbite was worse than when the braces were removed the first time. My dentist called Dr. Byas and asked him to correct the overbite before removing the braces and was told he would not. When I called to reschedule my last appointment because I was out of town due to my mother being in ICU for almost a week, I was hung up on by the same person that years earlier refused to give me or my dental insurance company complete copies of my dental records. This is why I feel thousands of dollars and years of my life were wasted at this office.

i had a great experience I recommend Playavista Ortho to everyone, before i was so unhappy with my smile, but now thanks to Dr luther and his staff i can smile proud and with confidence… thank you so much Dr. Luther and to your staff… Thx again

Outdated office and very slow service by the orthodontist on staff. After paying thousands of dollars, I’m still in the same position as before. Shop around.

I’ve been a patient here a little over a year already and I really can say I enjoy coming in for my appointments. All the staff are friendly and I’ve never had any issues. They recently introduced an online patient portal where you can view upcoming appointments and track your personal progress through photos and x-​rays — pretty dope.
The only con to the setup is parking. Don’t park in the lot in the building; there’s a whole block of free parking along Manchester. Plus the office doesn’t validate.
If you can, ask to be helped by Marisol. She’s the best — always happy and always smiling.
