I wish I could give zero if there is one. Horrible jjangbbong and all the ice coffee. I almost throw away the jjambbong but had to eat since I was so hungry but iced hazelnut coffee was worst coffee I ever tasted. I told one of ajuma that I really dont like the taste and if I could change it to other drinks but she said she would add more hazelnut. Ridiculous! I dont think it is going to make any difference. Why cant they just exchange it to other one’s. So rude and careless about her job. I would never come here again. Felt terrible had to spend almost 20 dollars in one meal and wasnt even full and satisfied.

Shockingly disgusting. We used to come here back in the day, 8 yrs ago. The food and service used to be good. I no longer live in the area and fekt lije eating here. Now, both have gone downhill. The kimchi is mushy and soggy and just salty. Not even spicy. The cabbage in the kimchi is so wilted that it tastes like wet rags. No, I haven’t eaten wet rags but I imagine that’s what it would taste like. I asked the waiter for a replacement but it was just the same! The food tastes like something you’d make if you didn’t know how to cook. It’s just REALLY, REALLYBADFOOD. Don’t come here. There are better Korean style Chinese food in the area.

Bad jjambbong ******************** This restaurant is in the Koreatown Galleria. After shopping for some rice cakes for Chuseok(moon festival), I had the munchies for some spicy noodle soup. Unfortunately, I stumbled upon this place. It sort of looks like the hole in the wall where you might expect to get GOOD jjambbong. But after one bite, I let out a disappointed sigh and placed my chopsticks down. The food tastes how the restaurant looks — pretty drab and neglected. The broth was bland and salty without much spice. The noodles and veggies were pretty limp. Its just a horrible hodgepodge of cheap ingredients. I really hate to waste food so I picked at it for a few minutes, grabbed my check, and went elsewhere. There actually can be bad jjambbong in koreatown. Ugh. I have had better jjambbong in the form of instant noodles. Don’t come here for jjambbong. Below the 5th percentile of all LA/OC jjambbongs

Came here with a group of 6, had just visited the broad. There was only one other party of 2 in the restaurant. The restaurant was decent sized and had only two workers in the front. Between the 6 of us, we ordered 3 black bean noodle, 1 seafood noodle, 1 order of sweet and sour shrimp, 1 order of sweet and sour pork and lastly, pork fried dumplings. The black bean noodle was good and they even divided it up for us into 6 individual bowls. The seafood noodle and the sweet and sour shrimp was the best. The sweet and sour pork was not good. If you do order the sweet and sour pork, make sure to ask for the sauce on the side so you don’t get your pork all soggy. I didn’t really enjoy the pork fried dumplings, only had 1 piece. We had a lot of food leftover that we ended up throwing away. The entire bill with tip came out to $ 90 between the six of us.

I came here with my girlfriend since we were just craving a sit down place to grab some food after shopping at the supermarket downstairs. Of course, I shouldn’t have expected authentic Chinese food, but the food was extremely overpriced(more so than very nice Chinese/Cantonese restaurants in nicer areas) and not that good, to be blatantly honest. Once we were seated, we were served tea, which was bland and diluted. The 魚香肉絲 had a weird taste to it, the 糖醋豬肉 was soggy, tasteless, and looked disgusting. The spicy seafood noodle was alright in flavor, perhaps the only thing that we ended up eating. The only good thing I could possibly write about was the fried rice, which tasted par to that of other restaurants. As for the service, we were not satisfied with the promptness or the attitude of the workers there. The check arrived early, and then afterwards, the employee confronted us regarding not giving enough tip. When the service and food are exceptional, I wouldn’t mind tipping more; however, when it is subpar, don’t expect much. Overall, this place is really not that great for the food or service. I will definitely not be coming back anytime soon, nor do I recommend it to anyone. You might as well go eat outside in the food court area. I regret not reading Unilocal reviews in advance. :( AMBIANCE(2⁄5): The restaurant had its own dining room, unlike that of the foot court outside of it. FOOD(1⁄5) SERVICE(1⁄5) OVERALL(1.3÷5)

Absolutely useless waiter, could barely speak English, didn’t seat us properly. Almost refused to give us water on a 94 degree day. What a joke! I never get mad at poor service, but this was just rude. No respect for their customers at all!

3 stars only for Ja Ja mien, this is a food court and you cannot expect a fine dining experience. Took a seat they gave us complimentary tea but me and my friends tea cups smelled like bleach/sanitizer, I have worked in the food industry and I know what smells like bleach, we couldn’t bare that smell so instead I asked for water. But our server didn’t refill our waters when empty. And it’s dirty inside, all the condiments had dust and junk on it and the teapot was covered with built up calcium, just dirty. As for the food the ja Ja mien was great! But I would not come back because 1. Bad service 2. Dirty environment 3. Bleach/sanitize residue in tea cups

This place is a hit or miss… when it is bad, it’s bad… but I keep coming back because I’ve had it when it was great. Yesterday’s experience was a little better then ok.(an appropriate 3 out of 5) While I was waiting to order on the food court drink side(it’s attached to an indoor restaraunt) the woman in front of me was angry at the owner/manager. *I can understand most of the Korean language but she was so angry and talking so fast I couldnt fully make out what she was saying… something about why an item is offered differently or not offered at this location etc etc. The manager tried to calm her down and even asked if she cpuld get my order in and then talk to her more. Luckily the woman’s son came up and intervened. Anyhow, my mom and I ordered the jjam bbong and jja jja myun. They were both average. Great seafood flavor on the Jjam bbong and hust the right amount of spice but the quality of seafood was a little disappointing(what else should I expect from a fast food joint) and the Jja jja myun was simply ok too… nothing special but I was satisfied.

I felt compelled to write a review as I’ve been a frequent customer here for years. I’ve always come here because the location is close to my house and the food is cheap. The food has always just been mediocre, but on my last visit i was in for a big surprise. Apparently this place is under new ownership and the quality of food has gotten much, much better. We got the black bean noodles, fried rice, and kung pao shrimp. shit was bomb. I used to come only or twice a year when I needed my chinese food fix and was too lazy to drive anywhere else, but I’ll definitely be coming back often now!!!

Food is great, service is great, and the restaurant is the only food safety certified restaurant in this plaza. That means there is absolutely no food poisoning or health hazard comin from here and that is NOT easy to do with chinese cuisine. Just try it. the standards here have changed significantly over the years. Food gets better every time.

We ordered(jjajangmyun– the black bean noodles) from here and they barely gave us any noodles, but so much sauce. It was salty and not worth the price. I’ve been to so many jjajangmyun places and this one was one of the bad ones. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for jjajangmyun. Anything else, I’m not sure.

Disorganized, unfriendly, food really isn’t that great. I’d rather go to the fast food places beside, not here. Why did I bother tipping?

This place used to be my family’s «go-to» Korean Chinese fusion restaurant. But I’m not so sure about that anymore. The quality of the food has deteriorated quite significantly through the years and I would not recommend it to my friends anymore.

The noodles here were really disappointing… The jja jang myun had watery sauce, so it was bland. The seafood jjam bbong was also bland and not spicy. Mehhhhhhhhhhhh.

Sam Sun Jja Jang Myun was pretty good. A lot of seafood. The noodles were perfectly cooked. Shrimp fried rice was pretty good, especially with the sides of Jja Jang and Jjam Bbong broth to dip the rice in. Tang Soo Yuk was flavorless. Very bland. I don’t recommend this dish. Their cabbage kimchee was really good! Our service was awesome. Our server was very friendly and professional.

Ghan Ja Jang had decent flavor, noodles were well made, and lots of onions. Make sure to get the tang soo yook with sauce on the side. It was extra crispy today which I didn’t mind, but the sauce was lacking something. BTW was it always a pink color? In my experience, the sauce for tang soo yook is a light brown color. There were plenty of Koreans here which is a good sign. Not sure why this place got so many poor reviews. I mean, it’s a decent place to eat at a food court. Adjust expectations accordingly.

The food quality has definitely diminished. I had a food particle in my water and when I asked for a new one, that one had a bug in it. When I asked again for a new water, the waiter laughed as if I was joking. I didn’t think it was funny. I remember this used to be the place to get korean/chinese food, but not anymore. I mean, what can you expect from a food court, right? I say, skip this place cause you never know what other things that may be in your food. If they can’t keep things out of the water, how are they keeping things out of their entrees.
