Absolutely amazing little joint in the food court with the nicest lady cashier ever! Everything looks and sounds amazing… seriously if I could order the whole menu I would. I got the soondae plate, which for about $ 10 could feed 2 – 3. The soondae is a little more on the gummy ricey side, and a bit bland, but tastes great with the salt/fishy sauce, so I’m not complaining. Also comes with a small plate of not super flavorful sides, but just enough to put the whole meal together. Everything’s okay, but still a 4 star because it really all goes well together and it’s a great little joint with everything you can possibly want! So glad I finally got my soondae fix!

Disclaimer: I have only tried one dish at this place so I would trust the other reviews for this place as well. Also they get 1 star because the woman working there was very nice. However: Do not order the spicy cold noodles!!! I ordered them here because they were a few dollars cheaper than the other booths($ 5.99). However, it was NOT worth it. I have had the same dish at a different place in this food court and it was so much more fresh and flavorful. It was so clear that they were trying to cut corners — very disappointing. At first glance it looked like the noodles were mixed in the sauce with some vegetables on top and then I realized that half the«noodles» were chopped cabbage! Because the sauce was mixed in with everything, it looked like a typical bowl of spicy cold noodles. The pickled radish slices on top were definitely old and the flavor was so off I picked them all out.(Yes, they are pickled, but Koreans know that these things still go bad!!) The side dishes they paired with all had the same salt/vinegar flavor so they did not compliment the dish. One of the sides was PICKLEDRADISH! This was a different version(the kind pickled in vinegar and soy sauce) but it was awful too! They also included a melon-ball sized scoop of potato salad(everyone’s favorite… :\ skimping on the good stuff).

This is the best food court cuisine — and my daughters are addicted. Good thing Cham Cham Cham’s delicious food is so inexpensive. The seafood soup has so much fresh seafood I’m shocked it isn’t twice the price. My kids are huge fans of the rice cake and fish cake soup is so light and soul satisfying that the next time I have a cold, I’m going to get a bowl of Annie’s(she’s the chef) fish cake soup. Can’t get enough! See you there! Ivy

I expected this Korean mall to be a lot bigger! I guess all the positive reviews got my hopes up on the food selection as well, but anyway on to the review! The owner of this place is a very nice Korean lady, the lunch specials they offer are pretty good for the price! You’d get spicy rice cake, fish ball soup and a korean roll! The spicy rice cake is a bit bland and a little on the soft side, the fishball soup’s broth is very very light and the kimbap rolls have a pretty interesting flavor. Although it does sound like a lot, the food itself isn’t very filling so don’t expect too much. I’d try it again after I try all the other items at the food court.

Upon visiting the Galleria we were on the food court floor looking to see what is gonna taste good and fill our tummy’s. After walking around in a circle and deciding I chose Cham for their steamed dumplings. After a couple of bites my stomach told me to stop because a bad feeling was coming upon me and I had to get out of their soon if I want to make it home in time.

Yesterday I went to the Los Angeles Koreatown Galleria and discovered their amazing food court. I had originally come to get some new types of ramen and fishcakes from their market located on the first floor. However, after shopping I realized that I hadn’t eaten lunch and was drawn to the delicious smells wafting from the 3rd floor food court. Now, this food court is different from any I’ve ever been to before because all of the different stalls are variations on Korean food. Understandably, I chose to order from the place with the large orange pig wearing a chef’s hat and bow tie. When I went up to order the friendly cashier recommended the bulgogi soup, but I had something more adventurous in mind. They had pictures of all the dishes up on the wall, which made ordering much easier for someone who doesn’t speak Korean(me). I chose the«Pork Sausage Soup» which from the picture was obviously blood sausage.(Through some internet research after I got home I think the dish is called Sundaeguk.) The cashier was very excited and surprised that I ordered this and promptly told me, «That’s on special! $ 6.50.» After handing me back my debit card she told me, «Four minutes.» Then she disappeared into the back. Four minutes later a huge steaming bowl of light brown broth with large chunks of blood sausage came out of the kitchen. Along with the soup came a small bowl of rice, 3 dipping/flavoring sauces, and a plate of banchan(kimchee, pickled radish, carrots and squash). Swimming in the soup was also a mystery assortment of boiled organ meats of unknown origin. I could recognize some pork liver, but there were definitely some other cuts in there that I have never had. The soup tasted great, and the sausage was very flavorful. I added some of the red pepper paste to the broth, because I like things uncommonly spicy, and that made it even better. The organ meat tasted great too although, admittedly, it is somewhat of an acquired taste. Overall, I would say it was a fantastic lunch in an uncommon location for a great price. I can’t believe I forgot to take a picture of the meal itself, but I was too caught up in the excitement of such a great find. I guess I’ll have to go back and order everything else on the menu… for photo journalistic purposes, of course.

I eat here every time I’m at the Galleria. Sometimes I visit the Galleria just to eat here. I love the jjolmyeon. The dongchimee is also good — but I just about always order the jjolmyeon. Hello, my name is Meg, and I am a jjolmyeon addict. It’s a huge portion and comes with gobs(yes, gobs) of veggies. The sauce is just the right ratio of sweet to spicy to tangy. Mmm. Getting hungry just thinking about it. Nothing beats a huge bowl of cold chewy noodles on a hot LA day.

I don’t know if I’m even qualified to be writing a review for this place since I didn’t exactly buy a «true Korean dish»(I played it safe and got the shrimp fried rice — #11 for $ 7.99) but I’ll do my best. The fried rice tasted like… fried rice. I’m not exactly sure that there’s any other way to put it. The entreé came with a side of warm soup and a bit of kimchi. The woman behind the counter was so gracious and polite to my non-Korean speaking awkwardness when she was explaining what everything was on the menu to me. I have to say though, this entire food court seemed above average to me. Clean bathrooms, clean tables, and polite people behind the counters who genuinely want to help you out. American malls could use a couple tips from this place!

In the Korea Town Galleria this is my favorite place to eat in the food court, everything is so good! Ddokkboki is always spot on and the soondae is great as well, the only thing they could use improvement on is kimchi =/it taste not okay.

Sorry to tell the owner, but the foods(jjolmyeon n dongchimee noodle) were terrible. I don’t get how this restaurant got 4.5 stars. I will never come here again. I should listen to my wife to go Jin Heung Ghak.

In general, I love Ktown Galleria’s food court. I haven’t had anything there that I haven’t liked. Today I tried to Cham cham cham for the first time… weird since I’ve come to Galleria a lot! I had their dumpling soup. I know it’s a generic dish, but it tasted like the kind of soup I’d eat at home. Their kimchee was ripe in just the perfect way, and I love how it comes with potato salad. My friend got the fish cake + kimbap(Korean california roll) combo, and I actually don’t usually like fish cake. But, wow, it was pretty good. What I also love is that the owners are super friendly. The guy behind the counter didn’t want to rush me and was helping answer questions. They also recognized us and told us when our food was ready. We were one of their last customers of the night and they made sure to ask us how the food was as we were eating. They’re like your grandma and grandpa, just trying to get you to eat some of their home cooking before you go off to school. :) Highly recommend this place!

I am by no means an expert in Soon Dae, but I know what I like! Soon Dae is a korean dish made by boiling pig’s intestines that are stuffed with rice, noodles, and others. It’s a type of «blood sausage». My introduction to Soon Dae was a great one. Cham Cham Cham did the trick. I have never heard of such a dish until my boyfriend at that time told me his childhood story: In Pusan, he would hold onto a few coins, and run to the nearest Soon Dae cart and eat his favorite dish. I HAD to try it. After all, he loved it, and I loved him! Simply put, a dish with ingredients so funky and original such as these BETTER be good at first bite or it ruins any future experiences of it and nearly any other chance of another attempt. Cham Cham Cham, did it well enough for such a foreign palate. Served with soup, and other pig parts(liver and intestine), it was, easily, quite delicious. So full of flavor and the texture was just right. Who would have thought, that a food court joint next to the food court bathroom could taste so good! Thank you for making my first Soon Dae experience a hit. Ever since then, I have dared other Soon Dae spots in the Los Angeles arena, and it has been a new obsession of mine to taste the different homemade varieties of this korean delight. 5 stars for opening my eyes to the magical world of piggy blood!

it was my first time eating in the food court… so while I was looking at the menu, the manager or the owner told us to eat there. she said their #6 which is spicy cold noodle is really good. Since my bf have his eyes on the fried rice so we end up eating there. I forgot the name of the dish I order. it’s #6… I guess it’s not bad. spicy, the only thing is that it’s a no meat dish… i think I would like it more if it had some meat. I am not really a fried rice person… but I must agree their fried rice is very good. So not a bad experience. I won’t mind going back there. on top of that the people who work their were very nice to.

Good fast-food Korean joint on the top floor of Koreatown Galleria. Menu has most of the standards plus a few atypical items, and side dishes were almost all excellent(except for the almost cold fried-egg pork patties… but kudos to them for attempting that.) I ordered the Acorn Jelly Plate… at first I was disappointed. It looked like lettuce and acorn jelly with pepper sauce on it… however, I soon found out that I never thought something so boring-looking could taste so good! It was like a glorified club salad, Korean vegetarian style. Plus I felt so good after eating it… as is typical with most Korean dishes.
