Hello, Darling!

Choosing my hair stylist for my wedding was one of the hardest parts of wedding planning for me! In LA there are so many options, so let me make this easy for you: hire Lauren.
Lauren was very attentive to the direction we gave and flawlessly pulled off the romantic look I wanted for me and my girls.
We all opted for updos and half updos with soft accents like braids and wisps of curls, and not a single strand fell out of place until we were crashing into bed that night. Bonus: the next day my hair still had perfect volume and curl.
On top of being super talented in the mysterious ways of hair styling, Lauren is very responsive via email and a pleasure to work with on your wedding day. I was very focused on having a relaxed atmosphere, and Lauren was a calm, confident presence.

I met Lauren through a salon she used to work at, and immediately found her to be warm, friendly, attentive, responsive, and (probably most important for the purpose of this review!) immensely talented as a wedding hair stylist.
After I saw her for a haircut and inquired about her wedding styling services, she followed up with photos of similar styles she’d done as the one I had showed her for inspiration, and offered a great, affordable package for me, my mom, and future MIL. I did a hair trial with Lauren which turned out very nicely (I was going for sculpted, defined waves a la Kristin Cavallari’s wedding hair), but Lauren, on her own initiative, followed up and offered me an additional trial at no cost because she wanted to try to see if hair extensions would help to give my desired hairstyle more volume and sculpting effect, since my natural hair is very thin and without much body even with product. I had never used extensions before, and was nervous about how they would look, but was willing to give them a shot after Lauren eased my fears. Lauren found the perfect match for my hair — the second trial was amazing and made the hairstyle so much more beautiful and exactly what I was going for — and Lauren thought creatively to add a little roping with a few top pieces which truly complemented my dress and the rustic yet elegant ambiance of the wedding. On the day of, Lauren recreated her masterpiece: I was so happy with how my hair looked, and I received so many compliments.
I highly recommend Lauren for wedding hair styling — you will not be disappointed; she is truly gifted at what she does. I also love Lauren’s home studio and her cut and color services — it’s comfortable, professional, and a wonderful change from your regular busy, chaotic, and impersonal salon experience.

From first contacting ‘Hello, Darling! Hairstyles’, to the last day of Lauren’s hire (in between consisted of: hair trials, contacting back and forth to discuss detail/​adding on additional bridal party for hair, receiving contract,…) she was incredibly flexible, kind, and fully willing to serve to whatever extent was needed.
I had a tricky updo that consisted of curly waves all over– really quite beautiful. I had cut my hair and was desperately trying to grow it out for my wedding… so by this time it was only shoulder length which would make any updo appear small/​without body and inadequate on its own. She offered and allowed me to borrow hair extensions for my wedding day which she had me simply return that week after. (who does that?! So willing and wonderful) the hair extensions incorporated into my hair in the updo changed the entire dynamic of the style. it made it utterly beautiful. Looking back at photos my eyes initially go to my hair first then the dress etc. that’s saying quite a lot! I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I received on my hair alone.
