H & T Moving

Hector and his sons and team members are fantastic. His wife Gloria is an expert unpacker. I’ve moved 14 times in my adult life, and I have to say this was the best move ever. Highly recommend this company. It is truly a family business.

Hector and his sons did an excellent job helping us move into our new home in West Hollywood. They arrived on time and did a great job of packing and moving our stuff onto the truck. When we arrived at our new place, we had some complications with the contractor who was remodeling our place. Sammy immediately found a solution that worked for us and saved the day. Thank you H & T moving, you guys are great! Highly recommended!

Hector and his team were amazing! They wrapped all my furniture and expertly packed it into a POD and a UHaul. Everything arrived in Las Vegas in one piece. I used them during a home remodel project and decided to use them for my move from Pasadena to Las Vegas. They took care not to scratch the hardwood floors in the process. I had some pretty big pieces that required special handling and I can’t say enough about them. Best movers ever!!!

Awesome, professional, punctual. These guys are so efficient they were an hour under what I was quoted and all my things were handled and wrapped nicely neatly and more important were secure. I have used them 2 times before and I won’t ever use anyone else. Have to say these guys are worth every penny

Worth every dime. I’ll start by saying that I’ve moved 4 times within Los Angeles and always moved myself w help of family. I’ve given in and stand behind paying professional movers from now on. Still, quality and trustworthy movers can be hard to find. H & T Moving is it. I called 5 moving companies, most quoted within the same range for 2 guys, but once Hector, the owner, mentioned a 4 man crew, his prices blew the competition away.
Logistics of my move: 4 man crew at $ 120/​hour, 24 ft truck, moved from a one bedroom apt with a building elevator in Santa Monica to a single story 4 bedroom house in Agoura Hills, took 6 hours. I believe stairs effect price, so ask!
My duties as the customer — Goal was to save movers’ time and therefore, save me money!
1) Went to SM’s transportation department next to city hall a week before my moving date. Purchased and reserved 40ft. OF TEMPORARY NO PARKING STREET SIGNS/​PERMITS from my city’s transportation department (you must do this especially if you live or move to a congested street w tough parking). I knew to do this bc I have moved to West Hollywood and Santa Monica in the past and know that reserving 40ft of prime parking in front of my building cuts down on mover’s time and therefore saved me money on MY TOTAL COST! Sam and his crew even explained this to me after the move.
2) LABEL THE ROOMS WITH A CODE IN THE NEW LOCATION. At our new house, I taped signs near each door and on wall spaces so boxes would be categorized and placed in areas that made sense. «K» for kitchen, «Rm. 1» for Room 1, etc. As we packed the week prior, I coded each box with a correlating code. Once crew arrived at our new house we did a walk through and I showed them the labels throughout the house. Before they moved a single box they already knew where to put it. May sound crazy organized, but IT SAVED TIME UNLOADING, and therefore, SAVED US MONEY!!! Do this. Crew rarely asked where to put an item bc it was already coded. Crew said this system was super helpful and said it sped up entire unloading time.
3) Had cold water bottles for them at both locations and a snack at the first location. Showed them the bathroom they could use any time at both locations before they moved anything. Energized movers will work quick and efficiently. Sluggish movers work, well, sluggishly. Packed them a bag of leftover waters for their drive over.
Sam, Jose, Javier, and Steve arrived 5 minutes early. Loved it! Positive attitudes. No complaining. Guys worked extremely well together. Super professional. Attentive to boxes labeled «Fragile» or «Glass». Sam is the owner’s son. First, he and Jose inspected stairwell for one couch that wouldn’t fit in elevator and then inspected our apt and all pieces, asked questions, clarified what was moving all before the guys began. This five minute inspection was helpful bc we gave some direction and a heads up about a few items. Then they began loading. Wow, they packed boxes fast! Shrink wrapped almost all big expensive furniture but 3 Ikea bookcases. Shrink wrap is a fee of $ 35 and worth it. No need for mattress cover, they shrink wrapped it too and carried it out in a huge mattress saddle. Super impressed bc our mattress was new and cost $ 1400. It arrived without a speck of dirt.
99.9% of items arrived safely and in perfect condition. Extremely minor scratch on leather couch and large scratch on one ikea bookcase that wasn’t shrink wrapped. Small price to pay for all the crap that would’ve broken had I moved myself!
Bottom line, H&T Moving rocks. I already recommended them to my sister who is moving next month. Reserve a four man crew when you call. It may be more hourly, but it’s less than competitors, and takes less time to move, so costs you less! Thank you, Hector, Sam, Javier, Steve, and Jose for making our move stress free!

These guys are the BEST!!! I was referred to them by my friend and I am so thankful that I decided to use them instead of any other company. They showed up on time, they were so professional, courteous, and their experience definitely showed. I had so many valuables and antiques that needed special care, and they wrapped everything perfectly and protected all my things. My move wasn’t easy either, I had stairs and lots of tight spots to get through, and the owner, Hector and his crew handled all the challenges with ease, they relieved any stress I had about moving.
I’ve already spread the word to my friends because I know these guys will always do the greatest job and give the best service. I definitely know who I will call the next time I need help moving!

My experience with H&T movers was nothing but a pleasure. I arrived to my friends house a half hour late only to find out that they had already completed loading the truck and were ready to go! They were extremely efficient and effective.
I had some bumps in my storage unit arrangements and they were very adaptable and kind. My recommendations to ANYONE!

On our most recent move a friend recommended we use H & T Moving and I have to say that was one of the best decisions I’ve made all year. After our last move I had had it with moving on my own and my husband and I were way too busy to give the moving process much thought. Enter Hector and his team! They were incredibly fast, on time, polite, friendly, and honest. The guys are a well-​oiled machine! Such a great experience– I can’t recommend them highly enough!

These guys are great. They are professional, hard-​working, and have your best interest in mind. They showed up on time, wrapped the furniture neatly, and carefully placed everything in their truck. I also had a piano, which they went the extra mile in carefully transporting it, with the proper methods of ropes and ties to secure it in place. They also provided the wardrobe boxes for us, which made moving our clothes much easier.
Unloading was a breeze. They asked me where each thing went, and even took measures not to bring in the dust outside of my newly remodeled home. I would definitely go with these guys again.
I found their rates to be reasonable. Hector, the owner, will make sure you are happy. The crew, which also included Hector’s sons, was very respectful and patient; really made me feel at ease. They waived their mileage fee because the two locations were so close to each other. The total ended up being almost exactly what it was estimated to be. No surprises, no other fees.
Moving is a stressful experience, and after seeing these guys, I cannot believe I even thought about doing it alone with friends and family. I will definitely use these guys if I ever move again.

Completely fantastic… have moved with them twice now and will never again use anyone else. We moved to a house in the Hollywood Hills up many stairs and there was not one murmur of complaint and honestly I felt I should have had a doctor standing by as they were moving very huge and heavy things! Hector is sweet and cheerful and accommodating — and his son also…

Ive moved more than 20 times as an adult, and this was as good an experience as Ive ever had with with movers. I called on the recommendation of our new neighbors — in effect, this review stands for another household as well — and was very happy with Sammy and his crew. The guys were thoughtful, almost shockingly careful with our things, and fun to work with for a few hours. They neither rushed through it nor lagged — one fifteen minute break during that period was the only time I saw them slow down. In the end I was very happy with the price. Going with Hectors company was like hiring four younger, fitter versions of ourselves… how often does that happen with moving companies?
Very grateful to Hector, Sammy and the crew for a first-​rate move.

4 ½ stars. These folks were solid. Hector, the owner, was responsive on the phone and explained everything. His son ran the job. The four person crew (including the son) was very efficient and conscientious. These folks do not lounge around and they take care of your stuff. (If anything, I had to slow them down sometimes to figure out where to put everything in the new place.)
Some notes:
They were scheduled for 8:00AM and showed up about 25 minutes early. Be ready.
We boxed our own stuff ahead of time, but they broke down, shrink wrapped, and set up furniture. ($ 35 shrink wrap fee was fully disclosed)
I agreed to a 3 person team but they showed up with a 4 person team. This ended up working out great and probably cost no extra money due to them being faster. Still, this is a ding (half star).
My move was an apprx. 1 bedroom place only moving about three miles. I did a morning move and it was not peak season.
Bottom line: I would hire these folks again.

Amazing!!! This move could not have been done any better. My fiancé and I were so stressed about the move but once H&T took over we felt like we were in good hands. With a 4 month old baby we could not find the time to pack and prepare for the move. Again, H&T took care of everything!!! There is no other company anyone should use for moving and packing!!!

My second move with H&T and all I can say is, These Guys Rock!!! Not only do they show up on time, they show up early. As others have said, they know what needs special handling without being told. No slackers in the group, everyone is working all the time. One of the guys was called away on a family emergency and they made sure to tell me I wouldn’t be paying for the 4^th guy the rest of the move. No need for me to even ask.
I’ve told everyone I know that I have the movers when they have the need. Would recommend H&T to anyone. You can’t go wrong with H&T.

AMAZING! I was super stressed by my move with a six-​month-​old baby. Hector, his son and their crew showed up early, came in and took over (in the best sense possible). They were so efficient and so polite. Every time I panicked about needing to pack something with my baby strapped to my chest, I would turn around and it was already packed. They even hung my clothes in my new closet short items to long.
When Hector asked me what I would like done with a particular item and I got that glazed look he would just calmly say, «why don’t you take a few minutes and think about it.» It was like having my dad move me.
The other huge plus was NO nickel and dime-​ing. And they were cheaper than anyone else! A world of difference from my last sh***y move. I have already sent friends to Hector and they were just as happy.
So glad I found my guy.

It’s actually been several years since I’ve used this service, but I was looking them up for my niece who is about to move. These guys were so fantastic, I’ll never forget them.
During a period after I became widowed, my daughters and I moved several times during a short span. A friend recommended these guys and they were awesome every time. They were quick, efficient and fair. They knew to carefully wrap certain pieces of furniture without being told. They take apart and put back together stuff that needs it. They were very helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this company. These guys rock!

These guys were awesome. I had a small 1BR move with some heavy items. They showed up right on time at 9.a. Jimmy (son of the owner), Sammy (his brother) and Sam (been with them for several years). They wrapped everything, packed them in the truck and we were done with the move (all within SaMo) by noon!
Throughout the time they laughed and asked good questions about where to move things, pack things.
I will DEFINITELY use them again.
