Whoever is posting negative reviews about this Dental practice in LA on Western and Wilshire has the wrong location. Every negative review is about other places called United Dental.
This is a great find. Dr Kevin Choi my great accupuncturist recommended Dr. Uk-​Jae Jung at United Dental Group. What a professional group these folks are. When I got the original recommendation I tried to research Dr. Uk-​Jae Jung on line and found zip. But I trust Dr Choi and went and I am SO GLAD I went. Not only are they the most professional dental office I have ever been to in my 50+ years the staff is beyond courteous. And the extensive work I need done is being given to me at such a fair price. My GF said her crowns and implants average $ 6−8K. Not here, they care and charge much much less for professional work.
The staff explained that their clientle is 95% Korean who tend not to Unilocal.Don’t be afraid to go here, their staff is a mix of cultures and English is spoken very well and complete followup instructions in every aspect of their work is precisely given.
Go where you want, but I found the dental group I will never leave.

My root canal that I got done here got infected. There is some leftover material stuck deep in my root that didnt get cleaned out, and I am so scared that the infection will grow. I’m debating whether I should go back to UD to fix the infection or go to a more knowledgeable specialist and start all over. I doubt UD will provide a free or discounted surgery for the mistake they made.
UD seriously messed up my teeth.

DO NOT COME HERE. TRUST ME. FIND A MORE SKILLED AND ETHICAL DENTIST ELSEWHERE. I’m sitting here right now nursing a toothache for a filling I’ve had to replace twice now.
I’ve been coming here for around two years now and I’m DONE with this place. I’m officially looking for a new dentist.
A while back I was pressured to get a $ 250 gold filling (even with insurance) on one of my molars because they said it was highly recommended for the way my cavity was. They said that a normal porcelain filling just wasn’t right for my tooth or the way the cavity was shaped, etc. I give in to what they say because ‘I’m no dentist so what do I know’? A month later my filling ends up falling out while eating. Can you say shitty filling job? I go back to get the filling replaced and they say they won’t give me a replacement for the gold filling and they can only give me a lesser quality porcelain filling. Isn’t it their fault that the filling fell out?
OK, WHATEVER, it’s not an argument I’m going to win. So I get the porcelain filling this time cos I’m not spending another $ 250 on another gold piece of shit that might fall out again. Somehow, this time they say the porcelain filling is just fine anyway, even though the last time they specifically said gold was the only way to go (what the fuck?). So, I get it filled in. It just doesn’t fit right. They shave the filling down to try and make the fit more comfortable and it still isn’t fitting right after multiple times of them reshaping it. They finally say, «let it be for now because you’ll get used to it and it’s just uncomfortable right now». Uhhh… Really? Is that how it works? I’m trusting my dentist at this point because I’m guessing he knows what should be right. But the fit is just uncomfortable. I live with this discomfort for the next couple weeks. It cracks finally while I’m eating one day. I call back again and tell them what the fuck is up. They tell me to come in AGAIN to fix it. Like it’s no fucking big deal. No apology. I’ve had to get off work early to go to these goddamn appointments. I’ve had to deal with weeks’ worth of pain and discomfort not to mention the painful process itself.
So I come in again yesterday and they put another filling in. I eat dinner last night after the procedure but I’m still numb from the Novocain. so I can’t really tell if I’m in pain or not. Today for lunch I eat Phở and I can’t even chew with that side of my mouth because the tooth is so damn sensitive. It feels like the filling is just sitting directly on top of the damn nerve. Seriously, FUCK THIS PLACE. By the way, they fucked up on a different tooth twice now too LOL. Straight GARBAGE.

6 month follow up appointment went well. The dental hygienist was great that worked on my teeth and overall the service was excellent as usual! Back in 6 months!

Story time:
Came here with my brother and mother because of an ad that we heard on the radio for free X-​rays/​check ups. Apparently they advertise the same thing on Unilocal.This is the first step to the scam process.
The next step to this disgusting process is that they took all of our X-​rays and do some procedural check up only to LIE to us that we have a cavity, or need extra work done. It’s very easy to be gullible in these situations.
They then walked us out to the front to schedule us for a follow up appointment that wasn’t even necessary and pressured us for a down payment. DON’t give them even a penny. If they can’t get that from you they ask for your insurance info to charge you for services that were not even performed.
Long story short: I went to another dentist only to find out my teeth were perfectly healthy. UD tried to call me and get me to come in again and as soon as I told them I went to another dentist, they never called me again.
Don’t be fooled by their assistants dressed up in uniform or their nice looking facility.
This place really ticked me off.

I would seriously give them 0 stars if there was that option. I’ve been going here for a year for check upa due to tooth pains and cleaning. Don’t give them your insurance information they charged the s**t out of your insurance company for themselves. I called them directly when I received my dental plan reimbursment claiming they charged them $ 700 for a check up and xrays. They explained they were collecting as much money as they can to use on me later for my next procedures. That’s fraud and sketch. I’m currently looking for another dentist office to go to, but I need to call my dental insurance company and United Dental to get these false charges refunded since I need to use that money for braces and another procedures. Seriously amazed how messed up this place is and other offices I been to in Koreatown

Fantastic office! Professional, kind and reasonably priced! Highly recommended!
They will accommodate you and truly café for their patients!

If you want to get implant & have insurance, don’t tell them you have dental insurance. If you tell them your insurance information, they will claim unexpected amount to the insurance company without letting you know. Implant is not covered from insurance & anyway you have to pay whatever amount they ask. They get regular charge from you & get extra money from insurance company, too.

My friend recommend here for removing wisdom teeth. And i came here first time for extraction wisdom teeth 2 each just 400 dollar and free x ray good price. Staff are very friendly and next time they offer 1 free creaning to me and my girlfriend.

I made the worst mistake of my life this summer… I walked into United Dental. So I had my braces removed May 2014 I still had a gap between front incisor so needed veneers. I wanted to find a dentist closer to me so I started looking in Koreatown. I went to 7 different dentist but chose UD because it had different specialist n it was newer n big smh… Even though I read the other bad reviews I gave them a chance.
My consultant was Mia she was nice n did a good job.
I spent $ 4000 and I still hate my smile. I went back and told them the problem with my veneers (you can see through them and see my natural tooth) a different dentist agreed that Dr. Ung did not use the right material n it wasn’t a great job. The doctor Dr. MARK said he would replace my 4 veneers IF I had 2 new ones DONE SO 6 INSTEAD OF 4 in addition PAY $ 120 lab fed for each veneer x4. Take in consideration this iS only 3 weeks after I had the original 4 done… So I have to spend more money $ 1600 on something I don’t want to FIX something that wasnt DONE right. .
Pleaae take my advice dont go to UD there are too many dentist in Koreatown.. Their work is rushed the people are nice but the outcome is not great… I should have listened to the other reviews.. im going to make a video showing how they messed up my teeth… Now im looking around for a NEW dentist to finish my work n fix my smile

Wasn’t told that they don’t give back the deposit after three months. (Didn’t even want to put down a deposit at first and didn’t need to but they said I should so I did). Rating ZERO!
Was told I needed a root canal on a tooth that I didn’t even need a root canal on. Ended up just getting a filling from a different dentist. Make sure you get a second opinion if they charge you too much on any procedures.

Do not get your braces here or anything here. Definitely wasted all my money on braces and they did such a horrible job. Without consulting me my dr put fillings on my teeth and did a bad job that one by one they started chipping now that I’m back to fix it they decide to charge me. Also I never wanted filling and never needed it. My dr just put it in while I had braces and filled out my gaps instead of bringing my teeth together with the braces. Probably will have to get braces done again and take off all my filings but will never come back here for anything. Would my trust them at all

WOW. Here they got a whole floor of offices, there is usually NO wait. I’ve been coming for a year or more because im getting an implant for one of my front teeth. Dr. Choi is very good. Sharon is the best. Prices are awesome too. Thank you

I love the fact that this place is so new and clean. They have the most up to date technology and tools. Right now they are doing teeth cleaning (scaling) for only $ 1 which is great because I do not have dental insurance right now. When they took X-​rays it did not hurt and when they clean your teeth they tell you if you feel pain raise your left hand. I did not have to raise my left hand because they really care about you and didn’t go crazy and make it hurt like my last dentist did. They also have a towel that goes over your face so that the water and toothpaste does not get on your face during the cleaning. I like this because a girl definitely doesn’t want to ruin her make up! I told them that my wedding was coming up and they told me they will put an I guess sealant on my teeth that will make my small gap go away. They said If I was open to it they can do this and if I like what I see they will give me a good price but if I don’t like it they can take it off. I never felt any pressure at all to get it done but when they finished it and polished it and gave me such a great rate at $ 300 I was really happy. Veneers cost around $ 700 each tooth so what they did was a budget friendly quick fix that is permanant. I am so glad my friend referred me to this place. I feel like I am at a boutique dentist when I am here. just look at the photos! The staff are really good looking too and the branch manager Sharon use to be a ballerina which explains why she is so attractive and fit.

dont let the clean interior and high tech gadgets and uniforms fool you.
I’ve been a patient here for about a year and a half — in that year and a half i’ve had over 4 «consultants». its ridiculous that there is no continuity in their staff — and might say a lot about their practice.
the dentists are being run like sweat shops hopping from one patient to another– never taking an opportunity to learn history, real problem and in such a rush.
I was getting a filling replaced and it was ROYALLY effed up by a doctor who is no longer there and now i have an overly sensitive molar since he dug too deep and hit a nerve.
WILL NEVER go back here and dont recommend it. Im all about promoting a Korean business, but this place has no personal investment.

I went in for a routine cleaning and was initially impressed by the clean modern office. Before I began my cleaning, I was taken for X-​rays and a initial exam. The woman who was my «consultant» began to tell me that my teeth were in need of serious dental work. I was having pain in a tooth and so i needed a root canal and a crown. No, wait, I needed 2 root canals and 4 crowns to repair the horrible damage I had inflicted on my teeth during the 3 years I had not been to the dentist. She asked me if I wanted to have the work done right then and there. I didn’t have time since I thought I was just going in for a cleaning. I asked her for a quote for all the work I would have to have done. She began to list everything I needed and then proceeded to tell me that I have really good dental insurance and that since I need so much work done that they would give me a discount. Grand total: $ 7000. I couldn’t believe it. Surely my teeth would all fall out in a month. I made an appointment for a week later.
I returned home to discuss my dental status with my husband and discussed how we would pay for my work. Who has $ 7k lying around for dental work? I decided I needed a second opinion.
I went to a different office in Miracle Mile. I never discussed my previous quote with him. He did a thorough exam and without boring you with the details here is what he said I needed: 4 fillings and a mouth guard. Total cost: $ 200. Wait a minute… I don’t need a root canal? No. I don’t need gold crowns? Um, no. Are you sure? Yes. He then gave me the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had.
Beware at United Dental.
BTW…they have expanded to take over the entire 2^nd floor of the Mercury Building. Hmmm. they must be making a ton of money to be able to afford that type of expansion. I wonder how they are that successful.

I’d give them 100 stars if I could. Their service is highly professional and their skills are top notch, from the receptionist, the dental techs, the consultant, the hygienist to the dental surgeon. Everyone treats their patients with nothing but respect. I came in with gum infection because of my old crowns were done poorly in another country 6 yrs ago. The color and shapes of my old crowns were way off and there were gaps between which gave rooms for bacteria to grow. I never thought anyone could fix my problems. Now a month later after my sessions I’m walking around with a Hollywood smile and my gums are healthy.
I had deep cleaning sessions with the hygienist, Dana — very professional. My consultant was Ms Caroline Kang. Caroline was the sweetest. She walked me through every step of the way, answered all my questions and gave me the best advices. She also recommended Dr. Yoon who was the best dentist I’ve ever had. He treated my front teeth and redid my crowns. Their team made my dental visits very pleasant and the result was phenomenon. I can’t be happier.

The customer service is here is amazing. Free consultation, free scaling, free 3D X-​Ray on your first visit! As stated by other reviewers, each patient have their own consultant who acts as a liaison between you and the group of dentists. Their sole purpose is to provide you the best customer support they can, therefore you usually get pretty good service.
They explain to you everything you would want to know about your teeth and how they can best support you. Check it out!

I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with korean dentists but I have to say that united dental group is absolutely amazing. Each customer or patient gets a consultant (mine was jay. Who I highly recommend!) who explains everything in easy korean so i can understand better. but dont worry, they speak english too.
The place is clean and the prices are very affordable compared to other dentists. This is a dental company, so the people cant rack up the prices like some independent dentists like to do.

My home is in OC but I work in K-​town, and one thing I hate is getting stuck in traffic. So I take metro to my work and get off at union station. I usually do not have much time before I can catch a train so I had look for a dentist near the station.
And to my surprise, I found united dental right across from the union station in a building with coffee beans on the floor (yay!). When I called them to make an appointment, the lady answering the phone was SUPER NICE, and nice enough to ask me if I needed a direction! So I got there and everything seemed so fancy and new, and everyone was SO NICE!
Right after they took a x-​ray on me (not the little ones poking my mouth), one lady sat me down in a chair and brought a doctor in. The doctor was very professional and nice (I believe his name was Dr. Yoon or yun?), did a thorough exam and then answered to all of my questions very patiently (I have to ask every single thing!).
The lady, consultant?, also reiterated what I needed in easy English for me. I’ve been to the office several times now and introduced my coworkers and I must say this is one of the better dental experiences I have gotten in the last few years !! Everyone is very nice, all the equipment seems to be new, and I have no pain.
What can I say? 5 stars for me !!!
