Alright, after attending spin classes here on and off for about a month, I feel I can properly evaluate Bespoke.
Bespoke is not SoulCycle, but it is very similar. I have been to a few different spinning studios and I think I like Bespoke the best. It’s not as cult-​y as SoulCycle (yea, I said it), but it’s not as. for lack of a better word «free spirited» as others that I have been to. They have a good system, great shower faculties (free L’occitane will keep me going back), the work outs are good with as much intensity as you want to give it, and the people are overall friendly. Personally, I am a weight lifter so I like to go once or twice a week to get some good cardio in. I’m not looking to die on the bike, so I like Bespoke because it’s a good pace that works up a good sweat, but I’m not leaving all my tears in the studio as I leave (I do that enough on leg day).
A few helpful tips:
1. They validate parking for 90 minutes. this is just enough time to spin, shower, and run into Target while you’re there ;)
2. They have some good packages for classes to accommodate all kinds of riders. They have unlimited monthly packages, or you can buy by class, or a few classes at a times. So for the once-​a-​week rider like me, an unlimited package wouldn’t be as ideal. I like that they have different options. An individual class costs $ 28.
3. Each instructor has a different style, so I recommend checking out their profile online to see if they meet your needs before going to their class. I like that their profiles identify what type of music they play so I know what I’m walking into.
4. At the end of your workout they greet you at the door with a cool towel.
5. They have free shower essentials and towels, so bring a change of clothes and take advantage of the free L’occitane).
6. Great central location for those in the downtown area
7. If you’re new to spinning, let the instructors know and arrive 15 minutes early. They’re super helpful and will break down the basic for you and get you situated on your bike before class.
So overall, I like this place. It’s low key, I get a good cardio workout in, and I’m always shopping at Fig & 8^th so it’s a win-​win all around.

I live in the valley but I come all the way downtown for this studio. I’ve taken pretty much all of the classes at all studios around town but this is an amazing new addition. David Simmons’ class has a great music mix and he leads the class in a comfortable and safe way. The class is tough but worth it.
I also enjoy that shoes are included in the price of the ride. When class is over you’re greeted with cold eucalyptus towelettes and it is truly worth the price of sweating out my blow out :)

I’ve only taken the 30 minute lunchtime express class but it has kicked my butt!
The amenities are on point! They offer complimentary shoes rentals, towels, and water. Both times I have been the locker room has been spotless and on top of that they are stocked with L’OCCITANE products!
They also have 90 minutes of validated parking which is a must in DTLA.
All the staff is super friendly and helpful if you have questions.
I’m looking forward to trying out their longer 45 minute classes!

As another reviewer mentioned the parking situation was a little confusing. I found the parking lot but got lost in the parking structor. When you are trying to get to class early this can be frustrating. I had my parking ticket validated however when I went to leave the machine said I still owed money. I had only been there for about 60 minutes so it should have been free with validation. Instead of arguing with the parking attendant I just paid fee and left.
Verdict:
Overall it was was good class. Not as fun or as packed as soul cycle but it was good.

This is a good spinning gym, and while I’m very impressed with the shower/​locker room accommodations, I wasn’t necessarily a fan of the spinning experience, but hard to judge based on one experience. On the other hand, they have fairly good deals on membership that fit your needs or budget.

Cycling/​spinning is one of my favorite work outs, and I’m so happy to add this studio to my list. They really has all you need. Class includes free cycling shoes, lockers, showers, water, and a spacious studio with fun lights. They also offer 90 validated parking in the Fig@7^th plaza! The instructors are very motivating and friendly. The location is hip, clean and new. I highly recommend this to any cycling enthusiasts.

I begin taking the classes at bespoke when offered the holiday free week promotion. Ive had 3 different instructors but DAVID SIMMONS is by far the best on i had. His music always have an upbeat and his words constantly motivated you to push harder and not give up. His class is at 6:15am Mon/​Wed/​Fri and i believe one in the evening on Tuesday. The 6:15 class to start your day does just that it motivates you for your week, day and gives you a sense of accomplishment after each session. THE EARLY BIRD GETS the amazing DAVID haha and worm i guess.
Ps. Go with the endurance classes the sculpting classes are only one song long on actual sculpting.
Ps​.Ps the facility is clean and everyone is friendly. Free parking in the Fig&7^th parking structure for 90mins and there is a place to shower if you plan to go to work right after.
GET UP AND GET CYCLING

Honestly I can’t live without David Simmons 6am class. I was someone who didn’t enjoy the routine of working out but Davids mixes make for an enjoyable experience that has me longing for more than 3 days a week. Join the winners class! Life happens at 6am.

It kind of hurts me to give this place a 3 star review, but after taking about 3 classes, I realized it wasn’t going to be nearly as close as the intense spin classes that I’ve been taking at another studio (will not name names, but you’d be able to figure that out if you read my other reviews).
PARKING:
The Figat7th Plaza offers free validated parking for 90 minutes, so if you time it right, you can get there, ride the 45 min (or even 60 min) ride, hop in the shower, get your validation and leave… for free. The 2 entrances are on 8^th Street and 7^th Street between Figueroa and the 110 freeway. When you get in, follow the signs for «Shopping, Food, etc»…it’ll lead you to the lower levels (4, 3, 2, 1) so you’re closer to the main shopping areas.
THE RIDE:
I respect all fitness instructors because I for one will never be able to run an entire class, prompting moves, and stay so energetic multiple times a day. Two of the 3 instructors that I had were pretty good. They were friendly and had lots of enthusiasm. They did a little more tapping back and up/​downs, etc. but none of the classes I took (sculpt and endurance) were intense at all!
I think it was that there was just so much riding either in or out the saddle, and not enough high intensity movements. I also believe this has everything to do with the bike itself. It’s not created to have so much movement. The music in one of my classes was definitely NOT riding music. There was almost no beat as I’m used to riding to a beat, and that class also had almost no movement other than riding.
I think the weights/​arms part of the ride were kind of ridiculous as well. First off, they were SHORT! I was expecting about 3 minutes of arms, and for my arms to feel like jello by the time I was done, but they felt like 1 – 2 minutes as most and were so simple that I felt like my arms didn’t do anything at all… yes, even with 5 pound weights.
THE GEAR:
If you have your own cycling shoes, bring those. They also have free rentals, which is great! I personally think it feels much more secure than regular shoes.
If you have your own water bottle, bring it. You can refill your water at their refill stations by the restroom. If you forget water, don’t worry, just check-​in on Unilocal and you can get a free bottle.
Their restrooms are somewhat equipped. They have L’OCCITANE shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash as well as some hair ties, blow dryers, brushes (eww…), deodorant and hair spray. They have towels for use in their 2 showers as well. I wish they had face wash and q-​tips, but that’s okay. I’m still impressed by the L’OCCITANE, haha!
FINAL VERDICT:
This is definitely cheaper than my favorite riding studios, but once I took the classes here, I understood why the other studio was more expensive. This place, although can become great in the future, is just not there yet. It’s still a workout for many people as I was able to break a small sweat, but until I read that it’s gotten super intense, I don’t think I’ll pay to battle the traffic to get here any time soon. I really hope that this place’s workouts get better because it’s not a bad place as it has so much potential! Hopefully this will be soon!

I almost passed out but didn’t mind it one bit. I just took my first ever spin class at Bespoke and chose the lunch time Express with Peter. I will definitely be coming back for more! Peter was energetic, supportive, and fun. He incorporated some great dance moves and kept the atmosphere of the class upbeat and intense. He even took the time to sit with me after class while I was busy catching my breath. The staff at the front desk were really helpful and welcoming, plus the additional staff person who showed me how to clip in and adjust my bike made my first experience not intimidating. Changing room and facilities are clean and well-​maintained, plus they have everything you need to freshen up after if you need to go back to work :)

This could have easily been a 5-​star review if I had known a few things in advance. So maybe I can help out the next person going…

CONS:
–Parking: they don’t mention on the website WHERE this free parking is. It is in the structure for something called «Fig&7^th» (I had never been.) The entrance is around the corner from where your GPS will say «you have arrived.» Follow the signs for parking for Target. Then, make sure to drive down and down and down to level 1. Park on level 1. There is a walkway immediately there and the studio will be on your left at the other end of the walkway.
*Make sure to allow loads of extra time your first visit!*
–you must wear spin shoes. I do a lot of spinning and always wear my athletic shoes. I find them the most comfortable and get great workouts. I only had to wear spin shoes once, and I definitely didn’t like it as much. However, at Bespoke, I ended up having to do the entire class in the saddle because the shoes were too uncomfortable to stand up. My toes were jamming against the front and the bottoms had no cushion whatsoever. (No, they were not the wrong size.) The staff was kind enough to chat with me after class about this, but they also tried to tell me that «spin shoes are so much better for your ride» and «all the ‘good’ studios use them…» Neither of those things are true, so I kind of resented that.
–the music was deafeningly loud, but not very good or motivating. I had to wear earplugs.
PS — (neither pro nor con), their «Sculpt» class isn’t really… it’s a spin class with 1 song’s worth of isometrics with 3lb weights. I was expecting lighter weights and far more time doing them.

Forget about all the other hyped Spin studios. This is IT!
Located in the 7^th and Fig plaza in Downtown, the parking is FREE. That in itself is a WIN.
The studio is clean and inviting. Bathrooms, water coolers and I love the set up of the spin room with the LED lights allowing instructors to set the mood (crucial when you need to zone out cos you’re dying).
It’s unbelievable but Bespoke also offers free towels and shoe rental! The shoes are new, and clean to match the slew of awesome kinetic bikes they have.
I’ve taken my far share of spin classes at different studios, but I can honestly say ALL the instructors I’ve taken here have been incredible! Way superior to how other studios teach, the instruction given is precise and clear. Every teacher I’ve experienced takes great care in music selection and riding to tempo as a tool for motivating you. They have also all been really personal; taking the time to learn your name.
Stephanie — She’ll motivate and uplift you not just physically but mentally. Such an encouraging class. It’s almost like therapy.
Eric — The most fun playlists. He has great taste in urban, hip hop music and it was like a party whilst I was working out. Really clear instruction too.
Elady — She will challenge you to push yourself hard. Giving yourself no excuses by listening to her empowering instruction.
At the end of your awesome inspired ride, Bespoke has chilled eucalyptus towels waiting as you exit. This is a little slice of heaven and shows the thought this studio puts into looking after their spinners.
Do yourself a favor and get behind the best Spin Studio!

I stumbled upon this spot during one of my visits to LA. I’ve taken spin at SOULCYCLE before and was not down to pay $ 30. I dropped in and made an appointment for one of their 30 min. express classes. It’s $ 14 if it’s your first time coming here, so I thought I’d give this place a try. The staff was friendly and made sure I was taken care of. If you check in, you also get a free water bottle. They provide «free» shoe rentals and eucalyptus towels at the end of your class. The class I took wasn’t as tough as I thought it’d be. I get that the class was a short one and weights aren’t being used in the express class; but at least do the figure 8 or something?
I have to try other instructors when I’m back up in la.

I do not write reviews on Unilocal but I am today because I’ve been coming to the studio since their grand opening day (literally) and I still just can’t get enough. Even after months of consistently riding, every single class STILL kicks my ass.
I highly recommend trying out all the instructors here and soon you’ll get a sense of what each instructor’s teaching style is like. For example, all the instructors have different music tastes (EDM, hip hop, pop, soul, R&B, 90s, etc.) so you can definitely pick and choose if you really wanted to.

I come from the westside just to take Stephanie’s class. She makes it a point to learn everyone’s name before class and she has the best spin playlist.

I’ve taken most of the instructors here, Stephanie is definitely my favorite. Her class is so fun and she makes a point of knowing everyone’s name and calling you out to motivate you in class. Take her when you can!!!

First, the studio is great. Everything is new and it’s very clean. Convenient parking. I’m all about it.
Second, the most important part of this review is their instructor, Peter. I have taken classes at all the other studios out there and he is the best. I would follow him anywhere to have him lead my spin class. After the first class I took with him, multiple people told him that he was the best.
Peter has a gift to make the class fly by with his warm personality and humor. He has so much energy and it is contagious when you’re on the bike with him. He dances on his bike adding just that extra bit to your workout. He encourages you to challenge yourself in the most positive way.
If you want to have a great time, sweat a lot, laugh a lot, smile, dance (optional) and leave your workout feeling like you just had the best night ever with friends, then go to Peter’s class.

I think I’ve found my favorite spin studio and instructor thanks to ClassPass! To think that I also went to the 6:15AM class too — completely insane. *gasps*
Bespoke may not have the frills of FlyWheel which come in handy such as the torq board but it does have a shower (with L’Occitane products), hassle free parking and free shoe rental unlike Aura Cycle.
They also have Nicholas, who is full of energy and soooo motivating. Trust me, it ain’t a joke to be in the third position with a ton of resistance and, usually you’ll see me in my little corner trying to cheat the system (and myself, LOL) but, Nick always manages to find the athlete in me — which is so hard to do and, pushes me to overcome the climb.
Ugh, I love you BeSpoke and Nick. I wish I had more than 3 visits per month (ClassPass rules)!

Tried their express class during lunch time. $ 59 for unlimited classes for 2 weeks is a good deal. It’s my first time too, the staff was very friendly. Patrick helped me get settled in my bike. He taught me the basics, I hope I remember, lol. It’s tricky to remove the shoes from the bike, so you just remove the strap and leave your shoes. The session with David was really good. He’s very motivating. I’m pretty sure I will be sore tomorrow. I thought cycling is easy, but with all that we did, I will come back to be able to get better with my pace.
The bathroom is really nice, you can take a shower and they have a digital locker.
