Benjamin Rosnick, DVM – Mobile Veterinarian

I called Dr. Rosnick when I was pretty emotional about my dog taking a sudden turn for the worse one evening. He was great because he listened with real empathy and was not condescending or sentimental. He helped me reason out what to do and he came over the next afternoon to help my little mutt pass. He was gentle, calm, and thorough.

On January 13, 2016 I realized that I had to put out of his misery my sweet dog, best friend and companion of nearly fifteen years. I found Dr. Rosnick through a recommendation from a friend. What can I say? This wonderful, kind, gentle man made — to the extent possible under such wretched circumstances — an awful experience, well, beautiful. I’m not a religious man, but there was something holy about this experience and it was due in no small part to the kindness and comfort brought by Dr. Rosnick. He was kind and gentle to me and to my beloved dog. I had my dog cremated. He arranged all of it and the mortuary was at my home, waiting outside, while my dog slipped out of this world. On top of it all Dr. Rosnick explained to me that on such a painful day nobody — not he, nor the mortuary — would ask me for money. I cannot say enough good things about this compassionate man.

Excellent bed side manner. Dr. Rosnick helped us with the transition of our sweet cat’s long life. Thank you.

Even though today was so hard for us, and Dakota’s last on this earth, I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to say THANK YOU from both of us. But how do you thank someone from the bottom of your heart, for going way way beyond & above?
That is exactly what Dr. Rosnick, did by helping my sister and I believe we were making the right decision letting our child and best friend take his walk across the «Rainbow Bridge». He did so in such a kind, caring, gentle, and compassionate way!
This is the way it will be done from now on, and with Dr. Rosnick, who made himself available according to my schedule. No more cold, and unfamiliar hospital rooms, or stressful rides in the car, no more fear & shaking! In the future it will always be done at home, and in the comfort of their own bed, being held by those that love them surrounded by photos, candles, flowers, and with the least amount of fear & stress possible.
Thank you Dr. Rosnick, I now believe «the looks in Dakota’s eyes», were looks of, love & appreciation, that he wanted to make sure I saw. You spent 2 hours of your time, and that helped immensely with making a very difficult decision, and I am forever very grateful!

I wrote him a lengthy email explaining my pets problem AND called and left a message and NEVER heard back from this guy … So much for compassionate vet.

Dr Rosnick is as amazing as he is compassionate. We first met when he worked at the VCA. He has always taken in consideration my pets needs and our finances. It is not about business it is about what is best for our pet. He has come to our home to take blood pressure as well as in home euthanasia. As hard as it is to say good bye to a family member dr Rosnick makes the transition for your pet comfortable and compassionate. All of our Pets have passed with dignity and in our arms and in the comfort of our home. I owe him so much gratitude that my memory of saying good bye to each one of my beloved pets was a beautiful and peaceful passing. He is a saint!

It’s taken me many months to get to the place where I could even talk about my best friend/dog’s passing without breaking down so here I am writing a review about Dr. Rosnick 7 months later. I do believe it’s important when you really had a great experience to show your appreciation by Unilocaling about them! Dr. Rosnick counseled me initially about the right time to euthanize my pet. My 9 year old dog (who I had since he was a baby) developed intestinal cancer & went downhill very quickly. Euthanization was the toughest decision I have ever had to make but Dr. Rosnick assured me I was right in making that painful decision. He arrived about an hour after I called. He was gentle & loving towards all of my pets & everyone remained very calm during his visit. He explained all steps beforehand so I would know what to expect. After he allowed me to spend the time I needed with my Diego. He even had arranged for the crematorium staff to arrive at the same time to professionally take Diego away. I felt so much compassion & caring from him… unlike other vets who are often cold & matter of fact. I did not receive a bill from him for 30 days. He is a great man with an amazing soul! I highly recommend him!!!

Dr. Rosnick was so patient with me on the phone when I first had questions about putting my beloved Border Collie down. He showed up on time and was so comforting to both me and my dog. I cannot say enough good things about him and his professionalism, demeanor, and warmth. This doctor was a blessing to me at a difficult time in my life.

Ben is a genuinely nice guy. Great attitude. Prices are competitive. Had my dogs microchipped and health certified. He was quick, to the point, pleasant to be around. Definitely recommend.

We contacted Dr. Rosnick when we decided it was time for euthanasia for our 13 year old BUG (Boston terrier pug mix) named Bosco. He responded to my inquiry about his services quickly and was very accommodating in scheduling an appointment, even when we changed it last minute. When he arrived, he immediately addressed and pet the dogs and made her feel comfortable in his presence. He was kind and gentle. His experience was calming. He prepared us by explaining everything that was going to happen. When it was over, he politely left and gave us some time alone with her. He was patient and informative, answering all our questions without any judgement about our decision. We highly recommend Dr. Rosnick for you and your pets.

He’s so very caring and considerate. Had to use his services for in-​home euthanasia, and he was professional, thorough and very kind. Will also use his house call service for general health issues with my other cats in the future, too. Highly recommend.

When I received the reminder that Marley’s vaccinations were due, I called my vet and reminded them that Marley is very aggressive and they referred me to Dr. Rosnick who does house calls. He re-​assured me that everything would be fine and that he has dealt with aggressive dogs. I met him at the front of the house and he took Marley for a short walk and came back to the house. Because of my nervous energy I refused to be nearby so I went into the bedroom until the vaccinations were done. Since Marley was very excited he explained the different methods he would use to perform the vaccination and he explained everything to me beforehand. Marley must have sensed his good energy because I didn’t hear too much barking. There was a little struggle but he didn’t have to sedate him. I am so pleased with Dr. Rosnick and his assistant’s professionalism and love for animals I would refer them to anyone who loves their pets.

I cannot thank Dr. Rosnick enough for the care he provided our golden retriever, Miu. When she got too old and nervous to go to our Vet’s office (which started bringing on seizures), we had nowhere else to turn. There is no doubt in my mind that we would not have had our Miu the last 3 years of her life, if we hadn’t found Dr. Rosnick. He was always willing to work with us, not afraid to try new things to help her, and allowed her to live out her 14−½ years as the happy, loving girl she was. And when it was time for her to say good-​bye, he was with us, and helped her pass peacefully in our arms, at home, in her favorite spot. There are no words. ..

Ben is awesome! He was so great, even with my terror, and it was really nice to have both cats examined and vaccinated at home. It took about 30 minutes for everything, I didn’t have to package them up and put them in the car, and they didn’t have to deal with the trauma of going to the vet. Highly recommend Ben (and his lovely assistant). I don’t think I’ll ever make another trip to the vet’s office again!

I’ve had a few different house call vets provide care for my two cats and Dr. Rosnick is my favorite. Same day appointment and super easy to work and communicate with. I liked that he wasn’t the type of vet that overuses medication – just enough to help kitty heal (I swear, some will prescribe everything under the sun). He was super kind and gentle to my kitty and his vet tech Jose was amazingly good with the little tiger during the blood draw – i’d never seen my cat respond that well to any type of procedure!
Anyway, it is worth looking at Dr. Rosnick’s «filtered reviews» (thanks Unilocal!), clearly i’m not the only one impressed by his house call service!

Dr. Rosnick is a true animal lover and it shows in the care he provides. Dr. Rosnick has cared for my dog Max as well as for my neighbors dogs and he comes right to your door. He treats your animal with the same care as at a vet office without the wait and the added stress for your pet. He also explains what he is doing, why he is choosing the treatment he is choosing and what kind of follow up care is needed and why. I never walk away feeling like I do not understand something and I know if I have a question he is there to answer. I highly recommend him for any pet care service you might need. He will save you so much time and stress in dealing with medical care for your pet.

I had to call Dr. Rosnick yesterday morning. Our dog was bleeding out of her anus when she went to the bathroom. Talk about freak out. I called the doctor and he came quickly with the diagnosis of colittis. He was reassuring and gave her meds and told us she would be better in 24 — 48 hours.

we have three (3) great danes & it is often difficult to transport very large dogs in distress and in pain
(we cannot carry them as others do) to the vet hospital…
i needed to get «bailey» our female merle dane (140 pounds) to a vet asap — she was howling in pain !!! i was alone… husband out of town… no way i could get bailey in car and drive her and get out of car and into second floor vet place…
i called vca hospital and pleaded for a name of a vet who could come over to our house and treat «bailey»
the vca hospital on sepulveda in west la came thru and indeed gave me dr. rosnick’s phone number… hurray !!!
he arrived in 45 minutes and took his time examining our girl… did not rush… fully examined the dane and the problem was determined and medication given… everything explained thoroughly and kindly…
dr. rosnick that day was a life saver… i received quality vet care and in my own home… i was relieved bailey was going to be okay…

I first met Dr. Rosnick at the VCA hospital in Hermosa Beach. He treated our two dogs Jet & Maddie. Unfortunately, Jet developed cancer and we found it in September 2010 but it was way too late and she could not recover. Dr. Rosnick came over in the very early hours of the morning and made the procedure of euthanizing Jet so much less heartbreaking. Don’t get me wrong, Debra and I still shed tears over Jet, but Dr. Rosnick was there to explain each step of the procedure. He was so sympathetic. Dr. Rosnick explains what is happening with your pet, explains his recommendations very clearly and understandably. I would recommend Dr. Rosnick to anyone. By the way, he makes house calls!
